WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 20:00, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town.
2. On the evening on January 12th 2017, Israeli forces raided Hizma town and clashed with several residents.

Detention

At 23:00, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Khaled Ziyad Ja'abis and Tariq Ziyad Ja'abis in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Attack

On the evening of January 12th 2017, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Hizma town.

Destruction of Property

On the morning of January 12th 2017,Israeli forces stormed agricultural land in Al-Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem and uprooted several Olive and fruit bearing trees in order to construct a road which connects and settlement to the Israeli ministry of interior located in Wadi Al-Juz neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 11:00.
2. At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrances of Ras Kar Kar and Deir Ibzi' village then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.

Attack

At 21:20, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp opened fire towards a residential vehicle then withdrew at 22:30.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 10:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Nijam area located between Ya'bad and Zabada town until 12:10.
2. At 18:25, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town. Sanour and Al-Jarba villages until 20:15
3. At 20:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalmah, Ghazalah and Arana villages until 00:50.
4. At 20:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Qad village until 00:50.
5. At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Tut, Jalqamus, Talfit, Deir Abu Da'if and Hadad Al-Siyahiya villages until 01:50.

Detention

At 01:40 on January 12th 2017, Israeli forces detained Bara Tawfiq Jarrar during their raid into Maythaloun town in addition to those mentioned in the previous report.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 17:55, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:25.

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jabarah village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 19:35.

Raid

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces raided Far'oun village until 10:05.
2. At 17:05, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 19:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara checkpoint, detained a resident, temporarily detained 2 residents: Mohammad Shihadeh Al-Abbassi and Mohammad Bassam Nassar then released them at a later time.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beita town then searched residents and vehicles until 19:45.
2. At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf village junction, detained a Security force officer, temporarily detained 3 residents: Ayat Jamal Taher Qassam, Wisam Musa Rasheed Bader and Yasser Subhi Ali Qassim then released them at a later time.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at Huwara checkpoint detained Narous Nassif Ghawardah {A resident of Jenin city}.
2. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint in Deir Sharaf village detained Husam Zuhien Hassan Zayet.

Temporary Detention

1. At 19:30, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara checkpoints temporarily detained 2 residents Mohammad Shihadeh Al-Abbassi and Mohammad Bassam Nassar then released them at a later time.
2. At 20:50, Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at Deir Sharaf village junction temporarily detained 3 residents {including a Woman}: Ayat Jamal Taher Qassam, Wisam Musa Rasheed Bader and Yasser Subhi Ali Qassim then released them at a later time.

Land Confiscation

On January 12th 2017, Israeli forces served a military order number :T/25/12 for the confiscation of 3.989 Dunums {Hectares} in Assira Al-Qibliya village for alleged security purposes.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 11:05, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:55.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:30.

Raid

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces raided Marda village until 19:15.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya town until 21:50.

JERICHO

Raid

At 22:00, Israeli forces raided Jericho city, temporarily detained 7 residents and released them at a later time then withdrew at 22:30.

Temporary Detention

At 22:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained 7 residents: Mohammad Khaled Jafal, Jamal Abu Hillal, Hillal Khaled Jafal, Mohammad Mahmoud Khanafah, Wasim Saleem Abu Ishtayeh, Yahya Mohammad Nawaflah and Daoud Muhisen { All resiednts of Abu Dis town in Jerusalem District} during their raid into Jericho city then released them at a later time.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinata town then searched resident and vehicles until 09:15.
2.At 08:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasnah area located at the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 14:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jurat Al-Sham'a village then searched residents and vehicles until 16:15.
4. At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 16:30.

Raid

At 08:50, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city until 09:00.

Closure of main Roads

On the morning of January 12th 2017, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate of Husan village junction and impeded the free flow of traffic.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Khursa village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Abu Al-Asja village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. On the morning of January 12th 2017, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town , stormed and searched the home of Khaldoun Abdel-Kadder Mohammad Khalil {A Palestinian Detainee} and confiscated his personal vehicle.
2. At 10:15, Israeli forces raided Yatta town until 11:55.
3. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town until 04:15.
4. At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Tarqumiya town until 04:15.

Attack

At 20:50, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Tabaqa village junction and opened fire towards and injured Hakam Haribat {A resident of Al-Tabaqa village} then detained him for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Confiscation of Property

On the morning of January 12th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Khaldoun Abdel-Kadder Mohammad Khalil {A Palestinian Detainee} during their raid into Beit Ummar town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.
•Israeli military forces broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards Khan Yunis District.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination and the entry of 104 new vehicles and 20 Trucks.

Attack

1. At 06:20 on January 12th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Abu Safiya area located in east Jabaliya town.
2. At 08:00 on January 12th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 08:30 on January 12th 2017, Israeli forces escorting several military bulldozers stormed 50m into the vicinity of east Al-Qarara town and levelled a plot of land then withdrew at 15:30.

Attack

At 06:00 on January 12th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
