WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 11:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village.
2. At 12:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns until 16:40.
3. At 06:00, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp and detained 4 residents {including Security Force officer} then withdrew at 07:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Mohammad Antar {A preventive Security Force officer}, Khaled Antar, Hani Hamad and Hani Yusef Odah.

Attack

At 10:30, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Jabal area junction in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 09:45, Israeli forces raided Beitunia town, detained a child then withdrew at 10:25.
2. At dawn on January 6th 2017, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ahmad Ali Saqer (14 years old) in Beitunia town.

Temporary Detention

At 10:35, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate located in Budrus village temporarily detained Ameer Raja Fatouh Awad {17 years old}(A resident of Budrus village) then released him at a later time.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 09:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayasir checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Temporary Detention

At 10:00, Israeli forces positioned at Tayasir checkpoint temporarily seized a News crew fo Palestine Television channel then released them at 13:55.

Attack

At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Hamat area in the North Jordan valley fired stun grenades towards several International Peace activists and residents who were participating in demonstrations against Israeli Military confiscation of land for the purpose of settlement expansion and as a result injured Muthna Sameer Al-Dik {A resident of Kafr Al-Dik town in Salfit District} and also left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Settlers Attacks

On January 3rd 2017, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Mazkouh area located near Khirbit Samara and Khirbiet Al-Makhoul in the North Jordan valley and installed a wooden structure {to resemble a temple} in an attempt to create a settlement outpost.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 17:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 17:45.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqilya city then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Qabalan town and Yatma village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:20.

Raid

At 14:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Farouq town and clashed with several residents then withdrew at 15:20.

Attack

At 14:45, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Beit Furiq town.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Iskaka village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

At 08:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Hamra checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 09:30.

Raid

At 09:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Jiftlik village and summoned Omar Mohammad Khier Kanouri to report to Israeli Intelligence for question.

Detention

On January 5th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Islam Moy'ayad Mohammad Hameed {A resident of Beit Annan village in Jerusalem District} as he was travelling to Jordan.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. On January 5th 2017, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement junction and detained a resident.
2. At 22:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.

Detention

1. On January 4th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at Container checkpoint detained Mu'tasim Sa'di Hussien Ali Eid {A resident of Jurat Al-Sham'a village}.
2. Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement junction detained Mohammad Samer Suliman Al-Jamal {A resident of Hebron}.

Destruction of Property

On January 4th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Al-Bariya area located in east Teqou' town and demolished 2 structures owned by Daoud Jabril and Hafith Al-Arouj, demolished a water well network and livestock barn owned by AlAmour, Jabril and Al-Arouj families for allegedly being built without a licence.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Halhoul town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Yaqin area which leads to Bani Na'im town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 17:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Samou' town then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 00:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Wadi Al-Haramiya area located in south Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 23:20, Israeli forces raided Hebron city, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 00:55.
2. At dawn on January 6th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Shiyoukh town, stormed and searched a home and summoned Samer Eid Halayqa to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

At 13:40, Israeli forces detained Imad Mohammad Salibi (14 years old){A resident of Beit Ummar town} near the entrance of Beit Ummar town.

Confiscation of Property

At 01:15 on January 5th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated money from the father of Islam Fayad Zahada after storming and searching their home during their raid into Hebron city {as mentioned in the previous report}.

Assaults on Property

On January 5th 2017, Israeli forces prevented several bulldozers from doing construction work on a road in Al-Burj village for allegedly being near the wall.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• • Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area from 300 to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month. On 3 April 2016 the decision to expand the fishing area from 6 to 9 nautical miles entered into effect but the Israeli authorities reduced the area back to 6 nautical miles on 26 June 2016.
• Israeli Military forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Gaza and Khan Yunis Districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for humanitarian cases, international journalists, employees working for humanitarian agencies, businessmen and passengers traveling though Al-Karama Crossing.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

At 09:00 on January 5th 2017,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in south east Gaza city

1. At 09:00 on January 5th 2017,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Maghazi camp.

KHAN YUNIS

At 07:45 on January 5th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
