Dr. Saeb Erekat on Mike Huckabee's Support to Israel's Settlement Enterprise

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee's participation in the laying of yet another cornerstone in the coffin of the two states solution is a clear violation and a flagrant challenge to the international legitimacy resolutions against the Israeli colonial settlement enterprise; including the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334.

The expansion of the illegal settlement of Maale Adumim threatens to forcibly transfer more Palestinians in the Eastern Jerusalem Governorate to make a way for more Israeli settlements and settlers in Occupied Palestine. This is an attack against the international community's will to achieve a just, lasting, comprehensive peace and an incentive for extremists to perpetuate conflict and blood in our region.

The ongoing incitement campaign led by Israel against International law, the American and European Union positions, and the rights of the Palestinian people, necessitates that all members of the International community fulfill their obligations in accordance with international law and resolutions, including the recent Security Council Resolution 2334.
