WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Al-Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Al-Eisawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near St. John Eye Hospital in Al-Eisawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Biddu tunnel then searched residents and vehicles until 21:40.

Raid

At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis towns until 02:10.

Detention

At 10:45, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Anas Mohammad Al-Abbassi and Mohammad Sari Al-Abbassi in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Attack

1. At 15:45, Israeli forces positioned in Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 16:45, Israeli forces positioned in Beit Hanina town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 21:35, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Ram town fired stun grenades towards the vehicle of the Deputy Minister of Health- Dr. Assad Al-Rimlawi and as a result damaged the vehicle during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Destruction of Property

At 21:35, Israeli forces damaged the vehicle of he Deputy Minister of Health- Dr. Assad Al-Rimlawi after they fired stun grenades towards it in Al-Ram town.

House Demolition

1. At 04:00 on January 4th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Al-Ashqariya neighborhood which is located between Beit Hanina and Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city and demolished 2 homes owned by Adnan Al-Shwiaki for allegedly being built with out a licence.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces stormed Beit Hanina town and demolished a home {160 square meters} owned by Ammar Abidou for allegdly being built with out a licence.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Um Safa village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 04:00 on January 4th 2017, Israeli forces raided Khirbithat Al-Misbah village and detained a resident.
2. At dawn on January 4th 2017, Israeli forces raided Bir Ziet town and detained a resident.
3. At 12:10, Israeli forces raided Budrous village, clashed with several residents as they served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by Issa Mohammad Ahmad Marar then withdrew at 16:00.
4. At 16:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, stormed a super market, confiscated surveillance camera footage then withdrew at 17:00.
5. At 23:25, Israeli forces raided Beit Ur At Tahta village, stormed several merchant shops and confiscated surveillance camera footage owned by Zied Harfousheh.

Detention

1. At 01:10 on January 4th 2017, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Andel-Aziz Damarat in Mazar'i Al-Nibani village.
2. Israeli forces detained Qusay Musa Rawhi Abed in Khirbithat Al-Misbah village.
3. Israeli forces detained Hufaytha Mahmoud Abdel-Haq Al-Tamimi {A resident of Deir Nathim village} in Bir Ziet town.

Attack

At 12:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades toward several residents for alleged stoning as they served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by Issa Mohammad Ahmad Marar during their raid into Budrous village.

Confiscation of Property

1. At 16:00, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage of a supermarket during their raid into Al-Bireh city.
2. At 23:25, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage of a supermarket owned by Ziyad Harfoush during their raid into Beit Ur Al-Tahta village.

TUBAS

Raid

At 03:15, Israeli forces raided Tubas city, detained 3 residents {including a National Security Force Officer} then withdrew at 05:00.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mus'ab Jaser Mohammad Sayaj, Bilal Mayhoub Arif Ahmad Sawafta and Rami Ayman Shareedat in Tubas city.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 22:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 17:00, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and clashed with several residents.
2. At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qaddum village, stormed several homes, detained a Palestinian Police officer and assaulted 2 residents: Awies Abdel-Raziq Ammar and Yusef Ishtewi.
3. At 06:30, Israeli forces raided Jinsafout village and demolished a live stock structure owned by Rasheed Ali Bashir {for the 2nd consecutive time}.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Osama Abdel-Raziq Mahmoud Ammar in Kafr Qaddum village.

Physical Assault

At 01:20, Israeli forces assaulted 2 residents: Awies Abdel-Raziq Ammar and Yusef Mustafa Ishtewi in Kafr Qaddum village.

At 17:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Azzun town.

Temporary Detention

At 17:15, Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 residents: Abdel-Mahdi Hikmat Ali {17 years old}, Mohammad Abdel-Latif Obied and Ahmad Hisham Ali in Al-Salam area located in east Kafr Qaddum village.

Destruction of Property

At 06:30, Israeli forces demolished a live stock structure owned by Rasheed Ali Bashir {for the 2nd consecutive time} during their raid into Jinsafout village.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near " Shave Shamron" settlement then searched residents and vehicles until 11:20.
2. At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Yitsahar" settlement in North Huwara town then searched residents and vehicles until 20:45.
3. At 06:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Tel and Arad Burin villages then searched residents and vehicles.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 20:55, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za'tara junction and impeded the free flow of traffic until 23:10.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Iraq Burin town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 22:15, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik town until 00:20.

Land Levelling

At 09:40, Israeli forces levelled a plot of agricultural land owned by Ayoub Ali Ahmad located in Al-Mareej area located near the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town.

Settlers Attacks

At 02:15, Israeli settlers stormed Kafil Harris town and damaged several vehicles then withdrew under the protection of Israeli military forces at 04:55.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Marah Rabah village then searched residents and vehicles until 20:40.

Raid

1. At dawn on January 4th 2017, Israeli forces raided Jabal Handaza area in Bethlehem city and detained 2 residents.
2. At 10:50, Israeli forces raided Abu Najeem village, stormed 2 homes then withdrew at 14:00.
3. At 13:30, Israeli forces raided Ayda camp in Bethlehem city and summoned Fadwa Husam Abu Sarour {48 years old} to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioned.
4. At 20:20, Israeli forces raided Harmalah village until 21:35.
5. At 20:20, Israeli forces raided Husan village and clashed with several residents.
6. At 22:15, Israeli forces raided Wadi Rahal village and stormed several homes.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Haytham Mohammad Musa Abu Ayash and Ahmad Bassam Ahmad Al-Shiekh in Jabal Handaza area in Bethlehem city.

Attack

At 20:20, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Husan village.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 07:20 on January 4th 2017, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zif village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2.At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ithna town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Juran Jarrad area in Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Einoun village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Hebron city until 03:30.
2. At dawn on January 5th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Fuwar camp and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Nahed Naseem Anati in Al-Fuwar camp.

Temporary Detention

At 18:05, Israeli forces positioned near "Haji" settlement located in south Hebron city temporarily detained 2 residents: Mohammad Ismail Saber Abu HashHash and Mohammad Musa Jamil Abu Hashhash.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area from 300 to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month. On 3 April 2016 the decision to expand the fishing area from 6 to 9 nautical miles entered into effect but the Israeli authorities reduced the area back to 6 nautical miles on 26 June 2016.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza District.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for humanitarian cases, international journalists, employees working for humanitarian agencies, businessmen and passengers traveling though Al-Karama Crossing.

Attack

1. At 08:00 on January 4th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 23:00 on January 4th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town and as a result damaged a fishing boat owned by Mohammad Ahmad Al-Hasi.

Destruction of Property

At 23:00 on January 4th 2017, Israeli forces damaged a fishing boat owned by Mohammad Ahmad Al-Hasi after opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
