WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on March 9th 2017, Israeli Military enforced a full closure on the West Bank for the Jewish Holiday "Purim" and prevented residents and employees including those carrying valid permits from entering Israel except Diplomatic personnel, International Organization employees, Humanitarian cases until 24:00 on March 12th 2017.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Al-Eisawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 16:25 and again at 02:10, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town until 04:20.

Detention

On the evening of March 10th 2017, Israeli forces detained Issa Soliman {Head of the Jerusalem Teachers Commission} in Beit Safafa village.

Attack

At 18:30, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning .

Destruction of Property

On March 10th 2017, Israeli forces stormed Wadi Hulwa area in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city and forced Arafat Qara'in demolish his storage room for allegedly being built without a license and imposed a financial penalty on him to demolish the storage room

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:55, Israeli forces set up 8 checkpoints along Al-Taybeh town road {located along the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho}, at the entrances of Al-Nabi Saleh , Deir Abu Mashal, Kafr Ein Deir Qadis, Bili'n, Khirbithat Al-Misbah and Safa villages then searched residents and vehicles until 17:00.
2. At 13:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge and detained a resident.
3. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles until 19:10.

Raid

1. At dawn on March 10th 2017, Israeli forces raided Turmus'aya town and demolished a home.
2. At 04:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Rima town then stormed and searched 2 homes.

Demonstrations

1. At 12:50, a demonstration took place in Bil’in village protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 12:50, a demonstration took place in Nil’in village protesting against the construction of the wall during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 12:50, a demonstration took place in Al-Nabi Saleh village protesting against land confiscation for the purpose of Israeli settlement expansion during which they clashed with Israeli forces and as a result suffocated several residents from tear gas inhalation.

Attack

1. At 12:50, Israeli forces forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several demonstrators in Bil'in village.
2. At 12:50, Israeli forces forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several demonstrators in Nil'in village.
3. At 12:50, Israeli forces forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several demonstrators in Al-Nabi Saleh village.
4. At 16:45, Israeli forces positioned at "Ofra" military base fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained 2 residents.
5. At 17:05, Israeli forces positioned at the west entrance of Silwad town fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents: Hanthalah Sameer Hamad and Jihad Muhammad Hamad then detained the later after striking him in the head.

Detention

1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near Atarah town bridge detained Rami Izat Al-Rimawi {A resident of Beit Rima town}.
2. Israeli forces positioned at "Ofra" Military base detained Mohammad Nasser Muqabil {A resident of Beitunia town} and Mohammad Al-Bawab {A resident of Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh city}.
3. Israeli forces detained Jihad Mohammad Musa Hamad {after injuring his head} during confrontations near the west entrance of Silwad town.

Injuries

At 17:05,Israeli forces injured 2 residents: :Hanthalah Sameer Hamad and Jihad Muhammad Hamad during confrontations near the west entrance of Silwad town.

JENIN

Attack

On the evening of March 10th 2017, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate Annin village opened fire towards homes located in the village.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 18:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ein Al-Bayda village located in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 11:15 and again at 17:55, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafr Qaddum village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqilya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Demonstrations

At 12:55, a demonstration took place in Kafr Qaddum village against the closure of the east entrance during which they clashed with Israeli forces tried to disrupt the demonstration by firing stun and tear gas grenades towards demonstrators who attempted to reach the demonstration site.

Attack

At 12:55, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning during demonstrations in Kafr Qaddum village.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Sarah village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Qalqilya} then searched residents and vehicles until 16:30.
2. At 23:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction {located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus} then searched residents and vehicles until 00:30.

Raid

At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Awarta village, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 05:00.

SALFIT

Detention

At 13:10, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction checkpoint detained Khaled Ziyad Amar {A resident of Kafr Qalil village in Nablus district}.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 20:00.

Raid

At 21:15, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village then stormed and searched 2 homes.

Detention

At 16:30, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Fadi Abdallah Mohammad Assi {A resident of Ein Beit Al-Ma' camp in Nablus city} as he was travelling to Jordan.

BETHLEHEM

Attack

1. At 17:45, Israeli forces positioned at the east entrance of Teqou' town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 17:50, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} fired stun and tear gas grenades towards residents for alleged stoning.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 17:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Tabaqat village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up 3 checkpoints at the entrances of Al-Thahriya, Al-Samou' and Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 23:20, Israeli forces raided Al-Samou' town then stormed and searched 2 homes.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month.

• Israeli Military forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green line towards Central Gaza and Gaza districts and as a result injured a resident.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Attack

1. At 10:00 on March 10th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 18:30 on March 10th 2017, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 14:00 on March 10th 2017,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards several residents located in the vicinity Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing located in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood in east Gaza city as they were participating in demonstrations protesting the Israeli Military and settler attack on Al-Aqsa mosque compound and as a result injured a resident leaving him hospitalized.

Injuries

A unidentified resident was injured during confrontations with Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing located in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 16:30 on March 10th 2017, ,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green line opened fire towards several residents in east Al-Burij camp as they were participating in demonstrations protesting the Israeli Military and settler attack on Al-Aqsa mosque compound.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
