Israeli Settlement Expansion Around Occupied Central West Bank

This map illustrates the increasing Israeli settlement activity in and around occupied Jerusalem under the current Israeli government. The current government plans to expand the settlements surrounding occupied Jerusalem in a three-dimensional manner, completely isolating the city from its surroundings in the Jerusalem Governorate and from the rest of the West Bank. Settlement planning has been extensive in occupied Jerusalem, particularly in three areas: in the south, to separate occupied Jerusalem from Bethlehem; in the east, to separate it from the Jordan Valley and Jericho; and in the north, to separate the city from Ramallah.
