Al Sheikh: Palestine Welcomes the Activation of the Arab Collective Defense and Economic Cooperation Treaty

Ramallah – March 15, 2026 - In a statement issued today, Sunday, His Excellency Hussein Al Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine, welcomed the activation of the 1950 Arab Collective Defense and Economic Cooperation Treaty, considering it an important framework for enhancing Arab solidarity, preserving Arab national security, in confronting the challenges that threaten the stability of the region, and in a manner consistent with the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
