Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh Condemns Knesset’s Approval of a Law Imposing the Death Penalty on Palestinian Prisoners

Ramallah—March 30, 2026—His Excellency Hussein Al Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine, strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset's approval of a law imposing the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners

Al Sheikh described this law as a dangerous escalation, a blatant challenge to international humanitarian law and international legitimacy, and a racist legislation.

At the same time, Al Sheikh called on the international community to act to protect Palestinian prisoners in the occupation's prisons from the policies of the extremist occupation government.
