Israel's Aggression Against Occupied Palestine: October 2025

Media Briefs
November 11, 2025

During October, Israeli occupation forces expanded their military operations in Gaza City to include several neighborhoods during the first quarter of the month. On October 10, a ceasefire agreement was reached, but Israeli forces soon violated it. For instance, on October 19, the IOF launched airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, killing several civilians. Subsequently, around 5,000 people were displaced from the eastern areas of Khan Younis. The following day, the ceasefire implementation resumed.

Between October 13 and 20, a prisoner exchange took place between the Palestinian side and Israeli forces. Reports said 20 Israeli hostages and the bodies of 15 deceased hostages were returned, in exchange for the release of 1,968 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health received the bodies of 195 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, reflecting the scale of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israeli forces. Many of the victims’ families were unable to identify their relatives, leaving numerous bodies unidentified.

Amid the ongoing policy of starvation and the complete blockade of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, the World Food Program (WFP) confirmed that since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, no large-scale convoys have entered northern Gaza -an area that the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) had already declared famine-stricken in August. The Food Security Sector noted that the resumption of partner operations is taking significantly longer than after previous ceasefires due to the extent of destruction and the logistical challenges of re-establishing supply lines.

During October, at least 2,777 Palestinians were killed, and more than 2,317 Palestinians were injured in the occupied Palestinian Territory. In the Gaza Strip alone, at least 2,761 Palestinians were killed, and Israel’s ongoing genocidal war wounded 2128. In the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem,[1] 15 Palestinians were killed. The IOF also continued its military campaign in various governorates, particularly in Jenin, Nablus, Hebron, Ramallah, and Jericho. During the ongoing Israeli military operations, 15 Palestinians were killed, and at least 189 were admitted to hospitals for treatment for wounds, among other things. Moreover, dozens of Palestinians received first aid treatment in the field.
