Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh meets with French Consul General to discuss developments at New York conference

Ramallah – 18/09/2025 - The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Al Sheikh, met today, Thursday, with the French Consul General, Nicolas Kassianides, to discuss the latest developments regarding the joint French–Saudi efforts to hold the international conference for the recognition of the State of Palestine on the 1967 lines, scheduled to be held on the 22nd of this month in New York City.

During the meeting, Al Sheikh emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to ensure the success of this conference, considering it a pivotal political milestone in strengthening recognition of the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, emphasizing that French and Saudi support constitutes a fundamental pillar in achieving this goal.
