Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh receives Russia's representative to the Palestinian Authority, H.E. Ambassador Gotcha Boatshidze

HE Hussein Al Sheikh, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Vice President of the State of Palestine, met today with the Russian Representative to the PNA, Amb Gocha Buachidze. They discussed the latest political and humanitarian developments in the Palestinian Territories, specifically the situation in the Gaza Strip, efforts to consolidate an immediate ceasefire, and provide urgent humanitarian relief to the population of the Strip. Mr. Buachidze expressed his country's firm position and support for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, and the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. He also expressed his country's full support for the establishment and appointment of a Vice President of the State of Palestine, offering his congratulations.
