Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh reviews key political developments with the Representative of the Russian Federation to Palestine

Ramallah – 06/07/2026 – His Excellency Hussein Al Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine, reviewed the most prominent political, security, and economic developments that the Palestinian cause is undergoing during a meeting on Monday with H.E. Ambassador Gotcha Buachidze, the Representative of the Russian Federation to Palestine.

His Excellency briefed the Russian Ambassador on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, amid the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and the escalation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and its dangerous repercussions on the humanitarian and political situations, affirming the necessity of an immediate cessation of the ongoing aggression, and adherence to the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law.

For his part, H.E. Ambassador Buachidze renewed the Russian Federation's support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, affirming his country's continued support for efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire, delivering humanitarian aid, and advancing a political solution that ensures security and stability in the region, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.
