Palestine Rejects Israel’s Blame Game, Invites Israel to Resume Tripartite Incitement Committee

Press Releases
August 11, 2013

In order to deviate attention from flagrant Israeli violations made in order to sabotage the efforts of Secretary Kerry, including more settlement construction and increased incentives for illegal settlements approved a week after the announcement on resumption of negotiations, PM Netanyahu has sent a letter to Secretary Kerry complaining about “Palestinian incitement.”

We strongly reject PM Netanyahu’s allegations and invite him to take clear action in order to end the main source of violence and incitement which is the systematic denial of Palestinian inalienable rights, including the right to self determination. We condemn this letter as an attempt to begin a new phase of Israel’s traditional “blame game.” We call upon PM Netanyahu to build on the efforts by the U.S Administration and to refrain from the old destructive tactics. Notwithstanding, we affirm our call to end Israeli occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip  and a complete cessation of illegal settlement activities.

Once again, we publicly call upon the Israeli Government to accept our standing offer to resume the work of the Tripartite Committee on Incitement . Palestine is ready.
