Demonstrations

• On December 14th 2017,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

On the evening of December 14th 2017, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Jaba' Military checkpoint located along the main road connecting Jerusalem, Ramallah & Al-Bireh and Jericho districts and as s result impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

1.At dawn on December 14th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 4 residents.
2. At 12:35, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.

Detention

1. On the afternoon of December 14th 2017, Israeli forces positioned near Bab Al-Sahira gate in the old city of Jerusalem detained Mohammad Asfour.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces detained Ali Ehab Odah {A resident of Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city} for alleged stoning.
3. At 17:30, Israeli forces detained Rafa Al-Qawasmi {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village} near Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city.
4. On the evening of December 14th 2017, Israeli forces detained Rihana Odah in Jerusalem city.
5. At 06:30 on December 15th 2017, Israeli forces detained Faris Mar'ama after storming and searching his home in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
6. Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Ibrahim Kulaib, Mahmoud Omran Mustafa, Adam Khaled Abu Shamala, and Ahmed Khaled Abu Shamala in Al-Eisawiya town.

Attack

At 18:45, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several resiednts for alleged stoning.

Physical Assault

At 17:30, Israeli forces positioned in Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city assaulted several demonstrators rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem and as a result injured 26 residents.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 07:35 on December 14th 2017, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Abu Mash'al village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 10:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Ein Samiya area located in east Kafr Malik village, temporarily detained 2 residents then released them at a later time.
3. At 17:35, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Taybeh town junction {located along Al-Mu'arajat road which connects Ramallah and Jericho districts} then searched residents and vehicles until 19:50.
4. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 21:15.

Raid

At dawn on December 14th 2017, Israeli forces raided Beit Liqya town and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. At 00:40, Israeli forces positioned near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in N orth Al-Bireh city detained Mohammad Yusef Mohammad Abu Ali {A resident of Jenin city}.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Thaer Mohammad Ali Badr and Hassan Badr in Beit Liqya town.

Temporary Detention

At 10:50, Israeli forces position at a checkpoint in Ein Samiya area located in east Kafr Malik village temporarily detained 2 residents: Ehab Tariq Hamayel and Mohammad Raed Bi'rat {Both are residents of Kafr Malik village} then released them at 19:25.

Attack

1. At 11:20,Israeli forces positioned near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning
2. At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned at "Ofar" military base fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance Al-Jalazoun camp fired lived ammunition,rubber coated steel,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents including a child.
4. At 12:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

1.Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents during clashes near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city.
2. Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Hassan Abd Rabbo {17 years old} {A resident of Qalandiya camp} and Mohammad Sami Abdel-Fattah Hamdan during clashes near Al-Jalazoun camp.

JENIN

Raid

At 16:05 and again at 20:15, Israeli forces positioned near Anin village clashed with several residents and as a result injured 2 children

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 children: Abdel-Kareem Mohammad Yassin {13 years old} and Mohammad Lutfi Khalil Milhim {15 years old} in Annin village.

Attack

At 20:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Einin village.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 18:10, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

TULKAREM

Attack

1. At 12:55, Israeli forces positioned at "Ghishouri" factories area in west Tulkarem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 3 residents {including a child} left 34 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 15:20, Israeli forces positioned near wall gate {564} in Zieta town fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 3 residents: Osama Ibrahim Shawareb, Mu'min Muwafaq Abu Kamleh 16 years old, residents of Anabta village, and Sa'id Farahaneh {All are residents of Tulkarm refugee camp} during clashes at "Ghishouri" factories area in west Tulkarem city .

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hajja village then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

On the evening of December 14th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint detained Sami Aqel {A resident of Kafr Qaddum village}.

Attack

1. At 11:45, Israeli forces positioned at the south entrance of Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Al-Naqqar neighborhood located at the north west area of Qalqiliya city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Settlers Attacks

At 13:55, a group of Israeli settlers from Yitshar settlement stormed agricultural land in Burin village, stoned several home during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent the settler attack.

Attack

1. At 13:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Naqura village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left 25 resiednts suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 13:40, Israeli forces positioned near Huwara military checkpoint fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left sevral resiednts suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 13:55, Israeli forces positioned near Burin village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent the settler attack.
4. At 16:05, Israeli forces positioned near Salem village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

SALFIT

Attack

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Salfit city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned near the west entrance of Deir Istiya town opened fire towards several residents for alleged throwing of a Molotov firebomb towards bus carrying Israeli settlers.

Closure of main Roads

1. At 20:20, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance of Kafil Harris town and prevented resiednts or vehicles from passing through until 20:30.
2. At 20:20, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance of Harris village and prevented resiednts or vehicles from passing through.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road {90} near Al-Oja village, temporarily detained 4 residents {including a National Security Force officer} and released him at a later time then withdrew at 23:00.
2. At 01:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city and impeded the free flow of traffic from both directions until 01:20.

Temporary Detention

At 21:15, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint along road {90} near Al-Oja village, temporarily detained 4 residents {including a Preventive Security Service officer}: Wissam Hussein Mousa Issa (a Preventive Security Service officer), Omar Ziad Abu Kush, Hammad Akram Kaabneh and Halmi Taemi Kaabneh then released them at a later time.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:55 and again at 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Nihalin village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles until 16:20.
3. At 19:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Betar village then searched residents and vehicles until 20:45.

Raid

1. At 10:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town until 12:55.
2. At 10:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village and served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by Khalid Mahmoud Abu Khayriya for allegedly being built with out a licence then withdrew at 13:30.

Attack

At 13:40, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result lefty several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Settlers Attacks

At 16:55, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near "Ifrat" settlement junction stoned resiednts and vehicles passing along the main road connecting Bethlehem and Hebron.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1.At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Fah's area located in south Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Arrub camp then searched residents and vehicles.
3.At 15:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Huwara area {located in North Halhul town} then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 19:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ithna town then searched residents and vehicles.
5. At 00:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Halhul town bridge and impeded the free flow of traffic until 02:50.

Raid

At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Halhul town until 02:50.

Temporary Detention

At 12:05, Israeli forces positioned near Beit Einoun village junction temporarily detained Usayed Ali Abdel-Qadder Matour {13 years old} then released him at 20:00.

Attack

1. At 10:40, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Arub camp fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning .
2. At 11:10, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Ithna town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning .
3. At 11:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning .
4. At 12:40, Israeli forces positioned at Abu Al-Rish Military checkpoint located in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning .

Closure of main Roads

At 17:45, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance of Al-Thahriya town and impeded the free flow of traffic.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts and as a result injured 5 residents and left 20 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Attack

1.At 14:00 on December 14th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire and launched stun and tear gas canister towards several demonstrators east of Al-Shuhada cemetery located in east Jabaliya town and as a result injured 2 residents and left several resiednts suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 14:30 on December 14th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire and launched stun and tear gas canister towards several demonstrators near Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing point and as a result injured a resident and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

1.Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents as they clashed with demonstrators east of Al-Shuhada cemetery located in east Jabaliya town.
2. Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident as they clashed with demonstrators near Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing point.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 15:00 on December 14th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Khuz'a town and as a result left several resiednts suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.

Attack

At 13:55 on December 14th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Rafah city and as a result left several resiednts suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents as they clashed with demonstrators in east Rafah city.
