WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on September 28th 20118, The Israeli forces imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the Jewish "Sikkut" holiday and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for humanitarian cases, after prior coordination until 24:00 on October 1st 2018.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Eizariya town {located near "Malee Adumim" settlement junction} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. On the evening of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, clashed with several residents then detained a child.
2. At dawn on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town and detained a resident.
3. At dawn on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Hizma town and detained a resident

Detention

1. At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned in Bab Al-Rahma area {at one of the gate entrances leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound} in the old city of Jerusalem detained Mohammad Omar Al-Shariti {A resident of Jerusalem city}.
2. At 19:30, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Abed BarBar and Mustafa Al-Hashlamoun near Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city.
3. Israeli forces detained Abdel-Fattah Jum'a Khanfar {16 years old} in Al-Eisawiya village.
4. Israeli forces detained Ali Mohammad Ayad in Abu Dis town.
5. Israeli forces detained Muntasir Salah Al-Din in Hizma town.

Deportation

On October 1st 2018, Israeli authorities issued a order banning Amin Al-Abbasi {A Security Guard at Al-Aqsa mosque compound} from Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 3 months as a condition for his release from Israeli Police custody after he was detained at an earlier time.

Attack

1. At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned at Ras Al-Kabsa area located between Abu Dis and Al-Eizariya towns fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 18:30, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya Military checkpoint fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents.
3. On the afternoon of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city fired rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning .
4.On the evening of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned at the North juntion of Al-Ram town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
5. On the evening of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.
6. On the evening of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Hizma, Anata and Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city and Shu'fat camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Nathmi Zhueir Assaf and Yazan Kamal Sa'ed Al-Khatib during clashes near Qalandiya Military checkpoint.
2.Israeli forces injured Mohammad Daqaq during clashes in Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Silwad town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 18:20, Israeli forces positioned at "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city detained Khalid Awad {A resident of Bir Ziet town}.

Attack

1. On the morning of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Liban Al-Sharqiya village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning
2. At 12:15, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a journalist and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 13:05, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of "Ofra" military base fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 15:05, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Shadi Hatem {A journalist} during clashes near the North entrance of Al-Bireh city.

JENIN

Raid

1. At dawn on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Maythaloun town and detained 2 residents.
2. At dawn on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Jalqamous village and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ahmad Ribhi Na'irat and Yusef Jamal Abu Zeina in Maythaloun town.
2. Israeli forces detained Mauawiya Taher Al-Qarm in Jalqamous village.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 08:10, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Tayasir" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 07:50 on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

1. At dawn on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and detained a resident.
2. At dawn on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Deir Al-Ghusoun town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Rami Samir Hamad Abu Samara in Tulkarem city.
2. Israeli forces detained Adham Mohammad Khalaylah in Deir Al-Ghousoun town.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

At 17:40, Israeli forces positioned near the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village {which is closed} fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators {protesting agiants the continued closure of the village entrance} for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Aweis Abdel-Raziq Ammar and Ammar Marwan Ali during clashes near the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village.

NABLUS

Detention

At 20:40, Israeli forces positioned in the area between Azzmout and Deir Al-Hatab villages detained Adham Hani Atallah Hashash {17 years old}{A resident of Balata camp in Nablus city}.

Settlers Attacks

On the evening of October 1st 2018, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village stoned residents and vehicles travelling along the main road connecting Nablus and Ramallah districts.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 20:30, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara junction military checkpoint detained Samer Samih Sawafta {A resident of Tubas city}.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

1.On the evening of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Walja village and fired stun and flash grenades into the sky as they surveyed the area.
2. At 03:10 on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Asakra village and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Hamza Daud Mahmoud Asakra in Al-Asakra village.

Attack

On the evening of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces fired stun and flash grenades into the sky as they surveyed an area during their raid into Al-Walajat village.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Tarqumiya town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 12:25,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Zif village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 19:10, Israeli forces raided Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city, temporarily detained 2 children the released them at a later time.
2. At dawn on October 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Yassin Adel Al-Za'aqiq in Beit Ummar town.

Temporary Detention

At 19:10, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city temporarily detained 2 children; Saed Rashid Al-Rajabi {9 years old} and Ali Marwan Abu Shama {9 years old} then released them at a later time.

Attack

1. At 10:40, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 18:15, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Arrub camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

Since September 28th 2018, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp and prevented residents and vehicles from entering or exiting the camp.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts and as a result injured 38 residents and left 56 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing closed.

Attack

1. At 16:00 on October 1st 2018, Israeli Naval vessels fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards approximately 50 Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town then confiscated the fishing boats after taking them to the Gaza port then released them at 19:00
2. At 17:00 on October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators near North West Beit Lahiya town during the march of return and as a result injured 37 resident and left 56 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 37 unidentified resident after opening fire towards demonstrators near North West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

On the morning of October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 21:00 on October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp participating in the right of return march and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Sajed Bakir Al-Louh after opening fire towards demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 09:30 on October 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired towards several resident located near the border fence in east Khuza'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the entry and exit of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
