DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the Biddo town tunnel, to search cars and verify citizens' identities

Attack

On the evening of 10/23/2020, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the Ras Kabsa area in Abu Dis town, on the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.

Settlement Activities

On 10/23/2020, the Israeli Planning and Building Committee deposited a structural plan for the establishment of a new settlement neighborhood that includes the construction of 56 settlement units (the units include the construction of 6 buildings, each building of 5 floors) on both sides of the bypass road No. 6 in the Ashqaria neighborhood in the town of Beit Hanina, north of the city Jerusalem, in addition to a settlement split, a new settlement road from east to west towards the new park that was built in the town of Beit Hanina.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

Before noon on 10/23/2020, the occupation police stormed the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and searched it and filmed it from the inside and outside.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Detention

At 21:10, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the entrance to Al-Jazzoun camp detained Muhammad Karim Abu Arab - resident of Al-Amari camp.

Attack

At 18:00, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, near the northern entrance to the city of Al-Bireh, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones.

JENIN

Raid

At 21:40, Israeli forces raided Zbuba village, and conducted a patrol.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:30, the occupying forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the city of Qalqilya. The checkpoint was established at 24:00 to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Attack

1. At 13:00, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, near the eastern (closed) entrance in the village of Kafr Qaddum, at the demonstrators in protest against the closure of the village entrance, under the pretext that it had been thrown with stones, wounding 5 citizens. A number of civilians were injured - suffocation due to tear gas inhalation.
2. At 13:40, the occupation forces, present in the vicinity of the "Eyal" crossing, north of Qalqilya, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the citizens, under the pretext that they were being thrown with stones.

Injuries

5 unidentified residents were injured while participating in a demonstration against the closure of the entrance to Kafr Qaddum.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:20, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Beita, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 19:10, Israeli forces raided the village of Iraq Burin, and clashes took place with the citizens while they were on patrol.

Detention

On 10/22/2020, the occupation forces positioned at a military checkpoint detained Atallah Omar Issa - resident of Balata camp in Nablus.

Attack

1. At 11:30, the occupying forces, east of Beit Dajan village, fired rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs and tear gas at the citizens, while they were preventing an activity to plant olive trees on citizens' lands that are threatened with confiscation. Tear gas inhalation.
2. At 19:10, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, on the eastern side of Burin, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.

Settlers Attacks

At 13:25, a group of settlers came to the south of the village of Burin, and threw stones at the citizens and their vehicles, wounding a citizen, and wounding 2 others - with bruises: namely: Bashir Zaban and Ahmad Bashir Zabin, and they were admitted to the government hospital in Nablus for treatment

Injuries

The wounded as a result of a settlers' attack, south of Burin village, is: Muhammad Imad Zabin.

SALFIT

Raid

At 11:40, Israeli forces raided the town of Deir Istia, and conducted a patrol.

Settlers Attacks

At 19:20, a group of settlers entered the agricultural lands of Yasuf, and set up tents on the site.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:20, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Fasayil village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 19:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to Jericho, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Tuqu '. The checkpoint was established again at 22:30 to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 16:35, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the Al-Nashash area junction (the southern entrance to Bethlehem), to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 19:55, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

HEBRON

Attack

At 14:50, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, which led to the injury of a number of citizens - suffocation cases due to inhaling tear gas.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• The occupation forces violated the cease-fire, firing from their positions on the Green Line in Khan Yunis Governorate.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": 10/23/2020 is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently, and by unilateral Israeli decision.
* The Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010 by an Israeli unilateral decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 05:30 on 10/24/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Abasan al-Kabira town, east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sufa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - "Kerem Shalom": on 10/23/2020, is closed (due to a Friday holiday).
