DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. On the morning of 01/20/2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided Qalandia camp, where confrontations took place with the citizens then fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens and detained a citizen.
2. On the morning of 01/20/2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Al-Ram stormed and searched a number of houses and temporarily detained two citizens and released them at a later time.
3. On the morning of 01/20/2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Anan, northwest of Jerusalem, stormed and searched a number of houses clashed with civilians during which the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition, stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. At 08:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained Mahmoud Salhia in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
2. The detainee in Qalandia is: Nizar Abu Shalbak.
3. The detainee in the town of Beit Anan is Abdel Hakim Elias Rabie.

Attack

On the morning of 01/20/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens during the confrontations that took place in Qalandia camp and the town of Beit Anan, during their raid into the town and the camp.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 07:30, groups of extremist Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

Temporary Detention

At 05:00 on the morning of 01/ 20/ 2022, during their raid into Al-Ram town, the Israeli occupation forces Temporarily detained the two brothers Mansour and Murshid Al-Shawamrah and released them at a later time.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

At 21:00, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Ein Yabroud, and detained a citizen

Detention

The detainee in the village of Ein Yabroud is: Iyad Nasser Dahabreh

JENIN

Raid

At 04:50 on the morning of 01/22/ 2022, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Qabatiya, where confrontations took place with the citizens during which they clashed with civilians and fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters, then stormed and searched a number of citizens’ homes, and detained 4 citizens after they patrolled and withdrew at 08 :10.

Attack

At 04:50, the Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and fired tear gas canisters towards citizens during the confrontations that took place in the town of Qabatiya.

Detention

The four detainees in the town of Qabatiya are: Jawad Kamil, Mutassim Al-Jazra Kamil, Amjad Al-Qazha Kamil and Nabil Ahmed Abdel-Qader Khuzaymah.

TUBAS

Detention

At 11:25, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the settlement of Mohawla, detained the citizen, Dirar Ahmed Qassem Masa’id. – 36 year old residents of Tubas city.

SALFIT

Raid

At 21:55, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Deir Istiya until 22:50.

Flying Checkpoints

The Israeli Occupation forces set up a flying checkpoint at the northern entrance to Marda town from 11:30 to 13:30, impeding vehicles and checking civilians' identification.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 02:00 on 05/21/ 2021, the comprehensive ceasefire entered into force at the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• On the morning of 07/30/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the marine fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 12 nautical miles.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun crossing - “Erez”: On 01/19/ 2022, it is partially open (for the passage of humanitarian cases, foreign journalists, workers of international humanitarian organizations, merchants, businessmen and travelers through the Al-Karama Crossing “Allenby” - previously coordinated for them).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 01/19/ 2022 is partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs and goods, limited quantities of fuel and cooking gas, and building materials for the private sector and for internationally funded projects).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 01/19/ 2022 is open in both directions (for citizens to leave and enter).
