Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh discusses with Blair ways to ensure the success of President Trump's initiative to end the war

Amman, October 12, 2025 – Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein Al Sheikh met with Tony Blair on Sunday to discuss the day after the war and efforts aimed at making President Trump's efforts which aim at stopping the war and establishing lasting peace in the region a success.

Al Sheikh confirmed his readiness to work with President Trump, Mr. Blair, and the partners to consolidate the ceasefire, the entry of aid, the release of hostages and prisoners, and then start with the recovery and reconstruction.

Al Sheikh also stressed the importance of stopping the undermining of the Palestinian Authority, and especially the return of the withheld Palestinian revenues and preventing the undermining of the two-state solution in preparation for a comprehensive and lasting peace in accordance with international legitimacy.
