WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Closure
  • On 28 November 2015, the Israeli army, intensified their restrictions at the entrance to Jerusalem city, set up several flying checkpoints on the main road leading to the city and prevented worshipers under the age of 50 from conducting prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque compound which forced residents to conduct prayers near checkpoints located outside Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the ‘demarcation area’ along the Wall in the area surrounding occupied East Jerusalem according to Military Order 09/02S and restricts access to local residents as well as to civilians holding special permits. 
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks and dirt mounds the entrance to Jaba’ village.
  • The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the eastern entrance to Beit Iksa village and forces civilians to access Jerusalem city through Qalandiya checkpoint.
  • On 16 November 2015, Israeli forces closed the southern entrance of Jabal Al- Mukabir neighbourhood leading to Armon Hanatsif settlement with cement blocks.
  • At 15:15 on 29 November 2015, Israeli forces closed a road near Panorama Hotel in Ras Al-Amud neighbourhood in Jerusalem with cement blocks.
Military Checkpoints
  • Israeli authorities continue to consider Qalandiya checkpoint a “border crossing point” and designate a special crossing lane for holders of Jerusalem IDs and another for those possessing permits to access Jerusalem city.
  • (ii)  On 19 September 2012, Israeli forces closed Ras Khamis checkpoint near Shu’fat camp and impeded the free flow of traffic in order to construct the wall.
  • (iii)  At 12:00, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Shu’fat checkpoint and impeded free flow of traffic. 
Detention

At 15:00 Israeli forces raided Izariyye town and patrolled it until 16:20. (ii) At 16:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Jdira village and searched 1 civilian home. 

Attack

At 19:15, Israeli forcaes arrested in Sur Bahir village civilian Jihad Atoun. 

Attack
  • At 14:55, Israeli forces in Abu Dis town tear gas canisters and stun grenades towards civilians, injuring 6 civilians.
  • At19:00, Israeli forces in Sur Bahi village fired teargas canisters and stun grenades towards civilians for alleged stoning.
Killings
  • At 11:00, Military Hassan Mohammad Arabiyye, 36, from the Palestinian General Intelligence and a resident of Abu Dis was shot dead by Israel soldiers near the junction of Hizma in Jerusalem for allegedly opening fire at Israeli soldiers (according to Israeli claims).
  • At 00:30, civilian Izzedin Rayeq Abdallah Mohammad Radad, 21, from Sayda village in Tulkarem, was shot dead by Israeli forces in Jerusalem for alleged stabbing of an Israeli soldier (according to Israeli claims). 
Physical Assault

At 19:30, Israeli forces positioned at Zayem checkpoint in Jerusalem physically assaulted civilian Haitham Mohammad Yassin Radaydeh from Obaidiyye town in Bethlehem causing him serious injuries. 

Attack

At 09:00, Jewish settlers backed up by Israeli forces raided Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and provoked worshippers. 

Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to close with cement blocks the Wall gate in Abu Dis town.
  • The Israeli army continues to deny civilian access through the Wall gate on Al-Shayyah road in the area between Al-Sawahira Al-Sharqiya and Al- Slewahira Al-Gharbiya villages, only allowing civilians holding Jerusalem IDs to cross, after subjecting them to thorough searches using electronic devices. 

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the entrances to Sinjil village well as the junction to Kafr Malik and ‘Ein Samiya villages
  • On 3 October 2015, Israeli forces closed the main road located near “Bet El” settlement and leading to Al-Jalazoun camp with cement blocks.
  • On 24 November 2015, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate leading to Sinjil and the east entrance of Mughier with cement blocks. 
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 09:55 and 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Turmusayya town and searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.
  • At 11:50 and 17:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Nabi Saleh village and searched residents and vehicles, and closed steel gate but reopened it at a later time.
  • At 12:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Attara Bridge north of Birzeit and searched civilians and vehicles until 14:00.
  • At 13:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beitlo village and searched civilians and vehicles until 13:50.
  • At13:45, Israeli forces setup a checkpoint at the entrance of Aboud town and searched civilians and vehicles until 15:00.
  • At 13:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint on Ein Yabroud Bridge and searched civilians and vehicles until 15:00.
  • At 17:40, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at the entrances of Kafr Nimeh and Beit Ur villages and arrested 2 civilians.
  • At 22:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the roundabout of Ein Sinya and searched civilians and vehicles. 
  • At 17:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between the villages of Deir Ibzigh and Ras Karkar and searched civilians and vehicles.
Raid

At 20:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, stormed into a supermarket and confiscated surveillance cameras and construction material, and withdrew at 07:00. 

Air Patrols

The 2 civilians arrested in Beit Ur village are Youssef Hilmi Harfoush and Usaid Saadi Darraj (both from Kharbata Al-Misbah village). 

Attack

At 16:50, Israeli forces near bypass road alongside Silwad town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents (who were protesting against the continued Israeli Military and Settler assault on Al-Aqsa mosque compound) for alleged stoning. 

JENIN

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the road leading to the town of ‘Arraba east of the illegal settlement Dotan. 
Raid
  • At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Kafr Dan village, arrested 1 civilian and withdrew at 05:30.
  • At 04:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Hashimiyye village and arrested 1 civilian after storming into his home.
  • At dawn on 4 December 2015, Israeli forces raided Rumana village and arrested 1 civilian after storming into his home. 
Detention
  • At 05:40 on 3 December 2015, Israeli forces arrested in Qabatia civilian Mohammad Mufid Adel Nazzal (as mentioned in the previous report).
  • At 16:20, Israeli forces arrested 2 civilians from Qabatia while they were reporting to the military intelligence: Ahmad Ziyad Mahmoud Nazzal and Tawfiq Faisal Tawfiq Nazzal.
  • The civilian arrested in Al-Hashimiyye village is Ali Asad Kamel Hamran.
  • The civilian arrested in Kafr Dan village is Ahmad Adnan Ahmad Abed.
  • The civilian arrested in Rumana village is Said Ahmad al-Amour. 
Injuries

At 05:40, on 3 December 2015, 8 civilians were injured during clashes \with Israeli forces during a military raid by the Israeli forces on Qabatia: Ala’ Abdallah Hintawi, Bilal Usama Mohammad Abu Zaid, Hala Nasr Abdallah Hanfar, Ahmad Khalil Wajeeh Nazzal, Tareq Ziyad Sabaaneh, Tamer Maher Abu Al-Rub, Qais Saed Zakarneh and Ahmad Mahmoud Dheeb Nazzal. 

Closure of Wall Gates

Israeli forces continue to close the wall gate and only allow those holding special permits to enter through it.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 23:45, Israeli forces continue to intensify their restrictions at “Eniv” checkpoint located along the main road connecting Tulkarem and Nablus and impeded the free flow of traffic. 

Raid
  • At 01:20, Israeli forces raided Sayda village and stormed into the hi9me of martyr Izzedin Abdallah Mohammad Radad (who was shot in Jerusalem) and delivered to his family a home demolition order.
  • At 03:05, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and patrolled it until 04:30. 
Detention

On 2 December 2015, Israeli forces arrested at the Separation Wall gate alongside Kaf Jamal village child Abdallah Mahmoud Said Ali, 16 from Kafr Jamal village. 

Temporary Detention

At 16:25, Israeli forces detained 3 civilians near the Separation wall alongside Beta village: Ahmad Mohammad Tahsin Tayem, Imran Rateb Abdel Karim Miri and Jaafar Mohammad Mahmoud Numan and released them at a later time. 

Physical Assault

At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned at Jabara checkpoint physically attacked Bilal Fawzi Mohammad Amarneh from Yabud town and seriously injured him. 

QALQILIYA

Closure of Roads
  • Israeli forces continue to close with cement blocks agricultural roads east of Azzun town.
  • In addition to closing the gate installed since the outbreak the second Intifada, the Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the eastern entrance to Kafr Qaddum village.
  • Since 10:40 on 1 September 2015, Israeli forces closed an agricultural road leading to Far’ata village which is located near “Gillad” settlement with a steel gate. 
Detention

Ay 19:20, Israeli forces positioned at the eastern entrance of Qalqilya city arrested civilian Ashraf Mousa Issa Zeidan from Qalqilya city. 

Attack

At 14:20, Israeli forces guarding the Separation Wall alongside the western part of Qalqilya city fire rubber coated steel bullets, tear gas canister and stun grenades at civilians, injuring several civilians, and dozens were suffocated as a result of gas inhalation. 

Closure of Wall Gates
  • The Israeli army continues to restrict access at ‘Azzun ‘Atma Wall gate and impeded the free flow of traffic. The Israeli army continues to close with an iron gate the entrance to the village of Wadi Al- Rasha and to deny civilian access.
  • The Israeli army allows residents to access the village through Gate #109. Having removed the gate at the entrance to the village of Ras Atiya; the Israeli army only allows students to cross to their schools outside the village through the Habla gate. 

NABLUS

Closure

Since 17 December 2013, Israeli forces ordered the closure 500 dunumes of land in Qusra village as a closed military area. 

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the roads of Til-Burin and Beit Furik- Salem; the settler bypass road connecting the village of Deir al Hatab to the settlement of Alon Moreh; the road connecting the town of ‘Aqraba to the village of Osrin; and the detour road between the town of Qabalan and the village of Osrin.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the northern entrance to Qabalan town; the southern entrances to the town of Jamma’in and the villages of Duma and Qaryut.
  • At 06:30 on 22 November 2015, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Aqraba town with Yanun village with dirt mounds.
  • On 29 November 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance of Bourin, Awarta and Osrin villages and the agricultural road connecting Aqraba and Qabalan with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:00 on 1 December 2015, Israeli forces closed the road connecting Tel village with the bypass road alongside Yitzhar settlement and installed a steel gate in the place. 
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 15:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of Salem and Deir Al-Hatab villages, clashed with civilians and withdrew at 16:30.
  • At15:40, Israeli forces setup a checkpoint at the junction of Yitma village and searched civilians and vehicles until 16:40.
Attack

At 15:15, Israeli forces positioned south of Qusra village fired rubber bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning, injuring child Walid Nabil Abdel Hamid Hassan 17. 

SALFIT

Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close with dirt mounds the entrance to two detour roads connecting Marda village to its farmland.
  • Since 30 July 2012, Israeli forces have closed two roads leading to Abu Naser and Qatan Al-Jama’ located in western area of Deir Istiya with cement blocks. 
Military Checkpoints

Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Za’tara checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At 21:20, Israeli forces raided and patrolled Kafl Haris town. 

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

at 13:15, Israeli forces intensified restrictions Al-Hamra checkpoint and impeded free flow of traffic until 13:4. 

Flying Checkpoints
  • At 17:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance of Jericho and searched civilians and vehicles until 18:95.
  • At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance of Jericho and searched civilians and vehicles until 23:00. 

BETHLEHEM

Closure
  • The Israeli army continues to close roads to An Nu’man village, with the exception of the road leading to the Wall gate in the south-eastern area of the village. 
  • Since 15 September 2007, the Israel army has prevented civilians from accessing or staying on 22 dunums of confiscated land in Al Mazmuriya area in Beit Sahur and Bethlehem cities. 
Closure of main Roads
  • The Israeli army continues to close the Beit Jala-Wadi Ahmed road; a road between Um Tuba and Al-Jass; a road between Um Tuba and Khilat Nu’man: a road between Um Tuba and the wall; a road between Al-Khas village and the wall; the 2 by pass roads located south of Al-Walaja; a road between Talita Qumi and Nazlat Al-Sider in Beit Jala; the eastern road of Al-Khader; the road between Al-Khader and Beit Jala; Wadi Rahal road near “Ifrat” settlement ,the road between Al-Khader and road #60 which lead to the eastern neighbourhoods of Bethlehem; a road leading to Wadi Rahal, and a road east of Beit Fajjar town with dirt mounds.
  • The Israeli army continues to close the road leading to “Newe Daniyyel” settlement and agricultural land in Al-Khader; a road between Um Tuba and Wadi Al-Hums: Wadi Fukin, Al-Jaba, the Green Line; a road between Za’tara and a detour road, and a road between Taqou and Khirbet Al-Deir with cement blocks
  • Israeli forces continue to close the road connecting Cremisan area north of Beit Jala and Walaja village with barbed wires and steel gate, and the road connecting Surif town with Jabaa village with cement blocks.
  • Since 10:45 on 8 September 2015, the Israeli army agricultural road in Arab Rashaydeh near Ma’ale Amos settlement with dirt mounds.
  • At 15:30 on 20 November 2015, Israeli forces closed eastern entrance of Jinana town with dirt mounds.
  • At 13:10, on 22 November 2015, Israeli force closed the entrance of Marah Rabah town with dirt mounds.
  • At 18:00 on 27 November 2015, Israeli forces closed Barbara junction in Beit Jala with cement blocks.
  • At 14:50 on 28 November 2015, Israeli forces closed the entrance to Um Rukba area in Al-Khader with cement blocks. 
Flying Checkpoints
  • At 09:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Salah village at the eastern entrance of Bait Sahour and searched civilians and vehicles until 12:45.
  • (ii)  At 17:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinana town and searched civilians and vehicles until 18:30. 
Raid
  1. In the morning of 3 December 2015, Israeli forces raided Al- Rashaida village and arrested 2 civilians.
  2. At 21:15, Israeli forces raided Teqoa, clashed with civilians during patrol and withdrew at 22:10.
  3. At 02:40, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, stormed into the civilian home of martyr Issam Ahmad Thawabteh and withdrew at 04:30.
