Israeli Official Incitement: November 2022

Israeli Incitement Reports
December 14, 2022

I. Against the Palestinian People

Avi Dichter – Member of Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 4 November 2022)

“In the equation of the Islamic Jihad, if Israel terminates terrorists in Judea and Samaria[1], they are allowed to shoot rockets from Gaza. This is how it is when you do not strengthen deterrence – when faced with the Jihad in Gaza. We will fix this also (…).”

Orit Malka Strock – Member of Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 8 November 2022)

“As expected, the ministers from the left, on their way out of the government, are putting in every effort to prove to the public how right its vote was in the ballot boxes.[2]  Administrative arrest[3]  is one of the most draconian measures[4], in a reality where the field is filled with Arab stone throwers, which no one even attempts to catch, and with weapons that shoot at us daily (…)”

Miri Regev – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 11 November 2022)

“(…) No vote[5] will change the simple reality: The land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel. Legally. The Parasha “Vayeira” [6] exposes the roots of the Israeli – “Palestinian” conflict. The big lie of the violent Palestinian impersonation as heirs to the land of our forefathers.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of Knesset for the Otzma Yehudit party (Facebook, 15 November 2022)

“(…) we must pass the law for the death penalty to terrorists[7] that will end terrorism. Only an iron fist will stop the terrorists."

Almog Cohen – Member of the Knesset for the Otzma Yehudit party (Twitter, 23 November 2022)

“A security prisoner[8] is supposed to suffer! Period. A security prisoner must be punished. A security prisoner is not supposed to invite [9] female prison guards by demand. A security prisoner is not supposed to eat red meat. And most definitely should not be allowed to watch [10] the world cup in his cell. Some of the things I said to Almez Mengistu [11]on News 12 today.”

Almog Cohen – Member of the Knesset for the Otzma Yehudit party (Facebook, 23 November 2022)

“We want as many dead terrorists[12] as possible. It’s the most moral thing to do.”

Tvika Foghel – Member of Knesset for the Otzma Yehudit party (Twitter, 23 November 2022)

“Deterrence will not be accomplished with moderate means. We have great force. It must be used. Nablus, Ramallah, Gaza, and Jenin must now feel it until the white flags are raised[13] (…).”

Ad Kan [14] (Twitter, 17 November 2022)

“We bring [15] the truth to the light regarding “human rights” organizations. We demand the government to stop the destructive mechanism between the organizations of delegitimization[16] and Hamas (…)”

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 23 November 2022)

“Murderous Arab terrorism is knocking on our door, we must establish a national government immediately!  I call upon the intended Prime Minister Netanyahu to assemble the heads of parties to reach agreements and immediately establish a right-wing government that will make real change and return the security to the citizens of Israel.”

Gilad Erdan – Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, retweeted an article published by JNS on 30 November 2022, in which it quoted Erdan during the opening of  an exhibition in New York highlighting the expulsion of Jews from Arab countries.

“A day after the decision[17], Jews were violently and cruelly expelled from Arab countries and Iran. This year, after a long struggle, we managed to place an exhibition with photos that document the story of the real Nakba. I will continue to fight for the truth and against the false narrative that the Palestinians and their supporters spread.”

II. Against the Palestinian Citizens of Israel

Almog Cohen – Member of Knesset for Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Might) party (Facebook, 17 November 2022)

“Following a publication of the organization “Btsalmo[18]” that next Sunday there will be an event in the Culture center in Haifa, where terrorist supporter Lubna Zoabi [19] will appear, who publicly supported terrorists (…)[20] I just sent an urgent letter to the Minister of Culture, Chili Tropper, and Haifa Mayor, Einat Kalisch- Rotem, to immediately cancel the event and not allow the use of public funds to fund terrorism supporters (…)”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of Kennest for the Otzma Yehudit party (Twitter, 7 November 2022)

“It is time! May we only hear of such news, and may they not return here.” [21]

Avigdor Lieberman – Minister of Finance, Member of Knesset for the Yisrael Beitenu party (Facebook, 30 November 2022)

“We will not allow the dishonor of IDF[22] soldiers. I have directed the professional team in the Ministry of Finance to work on revoking the budget given to Al-Saraya theatre in Jaffa, which chose to screen the Jordanian movie “Farha[23]” – an inciting film filled with lies against IDF soldiers.  I find it crazy that Netflix chose to upload a movie that’s sole purpose is to present a false image that incites against IDF soldiers, but the choice of a culture institute[24] funded by the state of Israel to screen this movie is an unacceptable decision that requires all possible steps, including withdrawing budgets from that institute to prevent maybe to the screening of the horrible film or similar films in the future (…).”

Shlomo Karhi – Member of Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 28 November 2022)

“I was ashamed to see the images of the terrorist outside the courthouse. These images cannot be ignored. Punishment must be severe to return deterrence and security to the state of Israel. And Aida[25]? Terrorism supporters should not even be in the Knesset (…).”

Itamar Ben Gvir- Member of Knesset for Otzma Yehudit party (Twitter, 28 November 2022)

“This terrorist is called Adham Bashir, a resident of Acre who committed a lynching in Mor Jenashvili during the Guardian of the Wall operation[26]. The judge noted that "the accused repented and apologized" and sentenced him to only 10 years in prison, instead of life imprisonment (…) we must make a change in the justice system! It is a must!!!”

Miri Regev – Member of Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 28 November 2022)

“This is how they celebrate in our education system. Waving Palestinian flags[27] in the Tel Aviv University, which is funded with public funds. This is what happens when the Minister of Education gives up bible lessons. When the departing government relinquishes our Jewish identity, when you grovel to terrorism supporters.[28]

III. Against President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Leadership

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 1 November 2022)[29]

“The Palestinian Authority is calling for the Israeli Arabs to go and vote for the Arab parties so that they prevent the establishment of a right-wing government. According to the data from the field, there is already an expected increase of 10% in the voting rate in the Arab sector (…).”

Yair Lapid – Alternate Prime Minister, Member of Knesset for Yesh Atid party (Twitter, 12 November 2022)

“Israel vehemently rejects the proposed Palestinian resolution[30]. Again, it is a one-sided Palestinian step that undermines the basic principles of conflict resolution and might harm any possibility for a future process. They are again using the UN to attack Israel.”

Benjamin Gantz – Minister of Defense, Member of Knesset for the National Unity Party (Twitter, 12 November 2022)

“The Palestinian’s approach for steps in the court in Hague is an own goal[31] that will distance them from any political achievement. The intention of the UN to allow this will only damage the stability in the region and the ability to reach future understandings. It is a political move that is not based on the reality in the field. As the Minister of Defense, I have led the processes to prevent these moves, and in the future, I will also work to prevent them in whatever position I hold.”

Avigdor Lieberman – Minister of Finance, Member of the Knesset for Yisrael Beitenu (Twitter, 12 November 2022)

“The UN decision is a despicable and unacceptable decision[32]. The decision comes following clear political terrorism from Abu Mazen[33], who came to cover up his failures in managing the Palestinian Authority and his inability to strengthen the economy and the public’s trust in him. We will continue to support the security forces and the IDF soldiers and safeguard the interests of the State of Israel.”

Regavim Movement[34] (Twitter, 17 November 2022)

“1. The people elected to return sovereignty over the Negev and Galil.

2. The people elected to stop the Palestinian Authority, which works to establish a terrorist state in Judea and Samaria.

3. The people elected to return the personal security to the citizens of Israel in the North, South, and in mixed cities (…).”

Im Tirtzu [35] (Twitter, 19 November 2022)

“We embark on the most important battle – safeguarding the national home! A combined force of the Palestinian Authority, Jordanian organizations, and the EU are taking over lands of the state in a deliberate manner. The solution is simple – plant trees that will cement the Jewish grip and deter hostile factors (…).”

IV. Additional Examples

Gilad Erdan – Israel’s Ambassador to the UN (Twitter, 30 November 2022)

“Those who really suffered from ‘Nakba’... were Jews ... the UN has been telling a completely false story about the ‘disaster’ Palestinians brought on themselves.”

Shlomo Karhi – Member of Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 26 November 2022)[36]

“Qatar is a radical Islamic dictatorship, anti-Semitic to the bone, and stomps on human rights. In many ways, Qatar is the Suni twin of Iran. It is the main sponsor of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other terrorist organizations. You should not expect much of it; it’s redundant to be disappointed by it. It is an enemy state in the deepest meaning of the word.”

Avi Dichter – Member of Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 29 November 2022)

“We did not score one goal in Qatar, but our people on the frontlines of the world cup are blamed for occupation. The Palestinian media publishes an Anti-Semitic poster of Israeli reports being hit with shoes (the biggest insult in the Arab world) (…) Qatar is a Hamas supporting state, and a boarding house for terrorists (…).”
