Israeli Official Incitement: October 2021

Israeli Incitement Reports
November 09, 2021

I. Against the Palestinian People

Shlomo Karhi – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 08 October)

“The first anti-Zionist government is eradicating Zionism and allowing "the right of return." Shaked, Silman, Kalfon and Orbach1, you can't say "Our hands did not shed this blood2”, it’s on your hands! Examine who were the attackers3 during “Operation Guardian of the Wall”4  and you will understand the level of danger (...).”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 19 October)

"I arrived at Kaplan hospital, to understand how the terrorist Al-Qawasmi5 is given the conditions and respect of the kings, and how he is still alive after 90 days of fasting. And who came to defend him and attack me? Of course, Ayman Odeh6. Don't worry, I didn't surrender. Two terrorists in one swoop.”

Ayelet Shaked - Minister of Interior (Facebook, 23 October)

“An important work by Minister of Defense Benjamin Gantz, following the confirmed intelligence information from the General Security Agency and the headquarters of the economic fight against terrorism. These organizations7 have, for many years, been wearing the masks of "human rights" organizations, but in reality they are organizations that support terrorist acts by the Popular Front and provide fuel for the BDS group. Many countries have funded these organizations and it is good that we put an end to that.”

II. And Against the Indigenous Palestinian Citizens of Israel

Amichai Chikli – Member of the Knesset for the Yemina party (Facebook, 15 October)

“(...) the rampant violence in Arab society8 is a product of the cultural genes that characterize many Arab societies in the Middle East (see what is happening in Syria and Lebanon).

These genes venerate (...) violence as a legitimate mean for solving problems in the family, community and national sphere. When we add to these genes Islamic religious zeal and Palestinian nationalism, the result will be an explosive device that cannot be dealt with kindly or in conversation.

This progressive discourse, which divides the world into oppressors9 and the oppressed10, and believes that violence in Arab society is the result of oppression, is the central obstacle today in the way of dealing with the most serious national challenges which the State of Israel is facing (…)”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 16 October)

“The terrorist Ahmad Tibi11 came to support another terrorist, Miqdad Al-Qawasmi12, at Kaplan hospital. What more needs to happen for the Israeli government to expel the terrorists13 from the Knesset?”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 27 October)

“Yesterday, the terrorists from the Joint List14 arrived in Ramallah to support terrorist organizations15 that the state of Israel declared as terrorist organizations.

In what other country in the world would this pass quietly? I call on Attorney General Mandelblit to immediately investigate them for compromising the state’s security. We are talking about terrorists16 working in the Israeli Knesset, until when will we be stepped on?”

Ofir Katz – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 04 October)

“But what, yes? A coalition with a supporter of the investigation in The Hague against IDF soldiers17, with a party that embraces killers of Jews18, and calls terrorists as freedom fighters19, and MKs who call for the release of terrorists20 who lynch Jews, and an MK21 who disgraces the Holocaust alarm and memory. Simply shameful22.”

Matan Peleg - Director of Im Tirtzu Settlers’ movement (Twitter, 20 October)

“When the state employs Arabs23 who have never served it24 and support terrorism, what is the message we are sending to the minorities serving in the IDF and Sherut Leumi25 ?”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 08 October)

“I am happy that the Welfare Ministry met my demand and cancelled the campaign with the anti-Zionist, B.D.S. supporter, who has called for the harm of Israel26, and we will continue to fight against those opposing the state of Israel27.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 03 October)

“I wish a speedy recovery to the Minister of Heath of the State of Israel who will soon return to office. Giving legitimacy to supporters of terrorism and smile is a disease that is difficult to cure28.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 14 October)

“I support the words of my friend Bezalel Smotrich29, and the story here is not Ahmed Tibi, Ayman Odeh30, or Abbas31. For decades, the Supreme Court has allowed these supporters of terrorism32 to run in parliamentary elections even when their hands are stained with blood, from Bishara to Hanin Zoabi and Hiba Yazbek33. Only a real change in the judiciary system can remove supporters of terrorism from the Knesset.”

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 13 October)

“If Ben-Gurion34 knew that the fifth column35 (enemy from within) he left here supports terrorism that calls for the annihilation of the State of Israel and sits in the Knesset of Israel and shouts that Zionism is racist and that this state is not Jewish and does not have the right to maintain a Jewish majority, he would not have stopped the caravans of Arab refugees who fled here in 1948.”

III.  Against the European Union /UN Organizations

Gilad Erdan - Israeli Ambassador to the UN (Facebook, 05 October)

“The UN proved yesterday that it is not only biased against us, it also silences (our) voices. This will not help them. I will uncover their lies from any stage, and I will expose the truth. It is hard to believe, but yesterday during the debate about UNRWA, its inciting agency, the United Nations prevented me from showing pictures that prove that UNRWA teachers are anti–Semitic and inciters. I did not remain silent and threw the truth in their face (…)”

Im Tirtzu movement36 (Twitter, 26 October)

“The political subversion and colonial impudence of the European Union knows no bounds. Aside from turning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict into a thriving business for propaganda organizations37, they have never acted and done anything to calm the winds. We very much hope that Prime Minister Bennett will not show weakness and will stand firm against foreign intervention, and will give support to the Minister of Defense Benny Gantz.

Lach Jerusalem Settlers’ Organization38 (Facebook, 29 October)

“This week, the Bennett-Abbas39 government rejected a law solidifying the restriction set in the Oslo accords regarding the Palestinian Authority's activities in the Israeli territory. In the existing law40, there are no criminal sanctions for those working against the law from the Palestinian Authority, and as a result, it is not possible to prosecute them criminally, and anyway, they cannot be stopped to enforce the law. The organizations associated with the Palestinian Authority allow themselves to work in Jerusalem, knowing there is no one to stop them.  The police and Ministry of Public Security sign warrants shutting down events.  But they do not dare to shut down these organizations once and for all! And with the absence of the law, the directors of the organizations cannot be prosecuted.”

Lach Jerusalem Settlers’ Organization (Facebook, 16 October)

Statement by “Lach Jerusalem” organization and “Im Tirtzu” movement: "The European Union continue to harm the state of Israel and undermine its existence by funding anti-Israeli organizations that perpetuate the conflict.  UNRWA does not have a right to exist anyway, as there are no population in the world deserving of their own special refugee agency. "The astronomical amount that the EU is transferring to UNRWA, in which corruption and racism has been exposed multiple times, and it was proven that Hamas has used their buildings in the past, will not promote any "peace", just money for the hatred of Israel".

IV. Against President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Leadership

Ayelet Shaked - Minister of Interior (Facebook, 04 October)

“Not going to happen. I will not meet with a Holocaust denier41 who is suing IDF soldiers in The Hague and pays wages to killers of Jews42Good night.”

Simcha Rothman – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party retweeted Amit Segal’s43 tweet (Twitter, 04 October)

“Sometimes we make peace with tyrants. This happens in two combined situations: the renunciation of war and political power. An hour before the meeting between Abu Mazen and Meretz, he called to pay his condolences to families of terrorists44, whom he pays millions. He45 can't get any agreement. Meeting him is a spit in the face of bereaved families46 just for the sake of a picture (…)”

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 03 October)

“And now in all seriousness: This government is causing great strategic damage.  After becoming a persona non grata47 in the international scene, Bennett48 and Shaked's49 partners50 have brought Abu Mazen back to life and turned him into a relevant player, and now through a clever international politics he is presenting himself on the international stage as a messenger of peace and we are presented as seekers of war.”

Nir Barkat – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 20 October)

“Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh reveals the truth behind the pressure to open the Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem51: divide Jerusalem and turn it into a Palestinian capital. We waited thousands of years to return to Jerusalem, fought for it and lost our best sons to take it back – we will not cede Jerusalem as the united capital of Israel and will fight the pressure to establish the (US) consulate that will divide it!"

V. Additional Examples

Ayelet Shaked - Minister of Interior (Facebook, 06 October)

“During my successful visit to the United Emirates, I clearly reasoned and explained – we will not support a Palestinian state (…)”

Amichai Chickli – Member of the Knesset for the Yemina party (Facebook, 05 October)

“If it is important for our grandchildren to live in an independent Jewish state, we should go back to speaking and working in accordance with Zionism. The Judaization of the Negev, the Judaization of Galilee, and the fight for every inch of the land52 of the state of Israel!”

Nir Barkat – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 15 October)

“The Americans plan to open a Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem. We are talking about a unilateral move that sets a precedent that will lead to a wave of opening of many Palestinian consulates and embassies in Jerusalem.

The goal of opening the Palestinian consulate is to impose Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine on the field, and to work towards the establishment of a Palestinian state (...)”

Nir Barkat – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 26 October)

“Tonight, 34 U.S. senators, who are true friends of Israel, submitted a bill that would prevent the establishment of the Palestinian consulate53 in Jerusalem. I thank my friends who rallied for the state of Israel and our eternal capital Jerusalem(...) This proposed bill54 joins the bill that I submitted in the Knesset and is intended to prevent the division of Jerusalem and the establishment of Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. Jerusalem is our eternal capital, it is the place that, for two thousand years, we dreamed of returning to it. We fought for Jerusalem and we will continue to fight to preserve our capital.”
