Israeli Official Incitement: September 2021

Israeli Incitement Reports
October 12, 2021

I. Against Palestinian Prisoners, Martyrs and their Families

Nir Barkat – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 19 September)

“I congratulate the security forces who caught the six terrorists1 who escaped Gilboa prison. They2 have proven that through hard work, the hands of Israel will reach anyone who seeks to harm us - wherever they are. I ask to congratulate the members of the Public Security Service, the army and the police of Israel for their professional and dedicated work that led to the capture of the terrorists.”

Ofir Katz3 – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Twitter, 19 September)

“The soul of a man demands justice, so does the soul of the Jewish people. No escape, no matter where to, will prevent the security forces from capturing vile terrorists and serve justice. The end of any terrorist will be either in the grave, or in prison.”

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 25 September)

“A terrorist4 from the village of anti-Semitic killers, Beita, was killed during a violent riot. And Mossi Raz5 is concerned about the terrorists6 instead of the soldiers who were defending themselves from him.”

Miri Regev – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 30 September)

“A victory for the terrorism supporters.

The decision to give an Emmy award to the movie "Lea Tsemel7, Advocate"8, is a wrong and sad decision that supports terrorism9.

During my time as Minister of Culture and Sports, I managed to cancel the screening of this film in the Docoaviv festival10.

The reality in which Israeli movies receive awards for de-legitimizing Israel and supports terrorism is an unacceptable reality which we must change (…)”

II.  Against the Indigenous Palestinian Citizens of Israel

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 28 September)

“Terrorism supporter Ayman Odeh11 went to visit terrorist Khalida Jarrar12, who spent two years in prison, and is directly responsible for the death of Israeli citizens. Now do you understand why I call him terrorism supporter? He and his friends13 cannot remain in the Israeli Knesset.”

Amichai Chickli- Member of the Knesset for the Yemina party (Twitter, 21 September)

“There will be no solution to violence in Arab society without this, especially the leaders14 of this society, respecting the state and respecting its character and laws.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 25 September)

“To see Ayman Odeh demonstrate against Arab violence and crime is laughable, as he voted against the opening of police stations15 in villages, against the entry of the Public Security Service to eliminate weapons in Arab society. And now he is complaining about inaction.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 26 September)

“Judge Mohana16 came from Umm al-Fahm and there, unfortunately, they allow the flag of the PLO to be raised without any problem. It is recommended that Judge Mohana study the law and find out that the PLO has been declared as a terrorist organization and this decision has not yet been overturned. It is a disgrace that we have judges like those in Jerusalem.”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 29 September)

“If you17 continue to speak, and if you don't shut your filthy mouth soon, I will march with a flag of Israel to the Temple Mount18, the holliest place for the Jewish people19.”

Lach Yerushalayim Settlers’ Organizations20 (Facebook, 26 September)

Maor Tzemach, Chairman of “Lach Yerushalayim” organization:

“It is a shame and a disgrace that in the Israeli Knesset there is representation of the terrorist organization the PFLP in the image of MK Sliman21. It is time to root out terrorism supporters22 from the Knesset.”

Amichai Chickli – Member of the Knesset for the Yemina party (Twitter, 16 September)

“When we hear apologies from the Arab leadership23 for the Jews who were burned, stoned and severely beaten by the Arabs without any fault of their own24, when we hear an Arab leadership that encourages the Arab public to take a role in bearing duties and not just enjoying rights, when we hear an Arab leadership that respects the state of Israel as a Jewish and Democratic state, then we will listen with pleasure25.”

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 13 September)

“The problem of the police is not in their response to the attack, but rather in diagnosing the problem. Until we stop our politically correct rhetoric and stop ignoring the nationalist extremism of many of Israeli Arabs, we cannot restore calm and personal safety to the citizens of Israel26."

III.  Against President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Leadership

Orit Strock – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 26 September)

“The ostrich speech27 by Naftali Bennet:
Let us put our heads in the sand, and pretend there is no Palestinian terrorism
That there is no Palestinian Authority that funds it
That we fund the Palestinian Authority using the revolving door method
That is stealing our land daily
That has a case against us in the Hague28
That tonight we had to take action in its place29 in order to prevent terrorism in its territory,
That there are no injured soldiers in Rambam30.”

Orit Strock – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 26 September)

“The amazing operation31 executed by the security forces tonight is praiseworthy!
But on the backdrop of the speech – Abu Mazen’s32 threat in the UN, begs the question: What was the Palestinian Authority established for? Before Oslo, they promised us they will fight Hamas without The High Court of Justice or B’Tselem33. And there it is, fighting us in The Hague, pays wages to terrorists34, and we are the ones who must risk our soldiers.”

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 04 September)

“The terrorism and destruction brought to us by the "path of peace" and the Oslo Accords with the PLO are embedded in the national memory of the people of Israel. We will not let the Bennett – Abbas35 left government lure us to the next national disaster.”

Lach Yerushalayim Settlers’ Organizations (Facebook, 06 September)

“Abu Mazen’s36 organization, Fatah, are saluting the terrorists37 who escaped from Gilboa prison(…)”

Avi Dichter – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 19 September)

“Half a billion shekels, this is the amount that the government of Germany will transfer to the Palestinian Authority for construction, including construction in C- zone!

The minister of Foreign Affairs, that is, the head of government for Foreign Affairs, Lapid38, is asleep.

The minister of security, that is, the head of government for security affairs, Gantz39, ignores the fact that the C-zones belong to us, and is entirely the responsibility of Israel.

It is no surprise, as recently, the minister of security promised during his visit to President Abbas in Ramallah a loan of half a billion shekels to cover the resulting fiscal deficit of 1.3 billion shekels, which Abbas pays as wages to terrorists, and publicly revealing his intention to continue paying wages to terrorists40!

And what does Prime Minister Bennett say about it? Nothing!”

He reserves his right to be silent. This government is asleep when we talk about the crimes of the PA.”

Ad Kan Organization41 (Facebook, 29 September)

“Again, the High Court of Justice gives awards to lawbreakers42 and the Palestinian Authority.
The decision to postpone the evacuation of the illegal settlement “Khan Al-Ahmar” allows the Palestinian Authority to continue the takeover of Area C undisturbed.
Khan Al-Ahmar43 represents the inaction of the Israeli state against the one-sided takeover of Judea and Samaria44 by the Palestinian Authority.
It is time that the Israeli state stops this farce, and after Khan Al-Ahmar, there are hundreds of other illegal Palestinian construction clusters that need to be dealt with.”

IV. Additional Examples

Bezalel Smotrich – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Twitter, 02 September)

“Whoever still does not understand that we are deep into a dangerous political process. After years of hard work we managed to take down the crazy idea of a Palestinian state, Bennett brings it back on the agenda45.”

Galit Distel Atbaryan – Member of the Knesset for the Likud party (Facebook, 13 September)

“For over a decade, no right-wing man was forced to explain that the two-state solution is a disaster.

And no right-wing person had to scream - This is a religious war, not an occupation.

No panel on any TV channel discussed a political solution(…)”

Itamar Ben Gvir – Member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionism party (Facebook, 30 September)

“(…) We have previously filed a petition against the police on the lack of metal detectors on the gates that are used by Muslims46, but the High Court of Justice rejected the petition claiming there are other security measures (…)”
