WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. On the evening of January 9th 2020, Israeli forces positioned near Hata gate { a main gate entrance of Al-Aqsa mosque} located in the old city of Jerusalem detained Ibrahim Al-Natsha.
2. At dawn on January 10th 2020, Israeli forces positioned in Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem city detained Jamil Al-Abbassi.

Temporary Detention

On 09. 01. 2020, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem issued a six-day house arrest warrant for 3 citizens - residents of the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem, and imposed on each of them a financial guarantee of 500 shekels and a third party guarantee of 5,000 shekels, and not to communicate with each other For 20 days, as a condition for their release after they arrested them earlier: Salah Abu Asab, Nour Ghaith, and Ihab Skafi.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Confiscation of Property

On January 9th 2020, Israeli forces confiscated a mobile trailer owned by Imad Ghannan {a resident of Kafr Nima vilage}{approximately 30 m2} located near the main road near Ras KarKar town.

JENIN

Raid

1. At dawn on January 10th 2020, Israeli forces raided Jenin city and detained 3 residents after storming and searching their homes.
2. At dawn on January 10th 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Yamoun town and detained a resident after storming his home.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sabah, Muhammad Fathi Merhi, and Salim Yasir Merhi in Jenin city.
2. Israeli forces detained Fadi Faysal Samoudi in Al-Yamoun town.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jit village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

On the evening of January 9th 2020, Israeli forces raided the east neighborhood of Nablus city and clashed with several residents.

Detention

At 18:00, Israeli forces detained Amr Zahran Yusef Sawadin near the entrance of Azzun town.

Attack

On the evening of January 9th 2020, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into the east neighborhoods of Nablus city.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 08:30,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furik military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

JERICHO

At 08:40,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Hamra Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 16:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles until 16:55.
2. At 20:30,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 21:30.

HEBRON

Attack

At 19:15, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Zawiya area located in Hebron city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

At 00:15 on January 10th 2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in Jahr Ad Dik town located in south east Gaza city.

Detention

At 00:10 on January 10th 2020, Israeli forces detained 3 unidentified residents in east Jahr Ad Dik town located in south east Gaza city as they attempted to climb the border fence into Israel.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 22:15 on January 2nd 2020,Israeli forces opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
