WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. On January 2nd 2020, Israeli forces raided Hizma town and detained a resident.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp then stormed and searched a home.
3. At dawn on January 3rd 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 6 residents.

Detention

1. At 19:00, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammed Al-Shawish, Abdullah Al-Bizra, and Omar Fawzi Muhaisen in Bab Al-Rahma prayer area in Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem city.
2. Israeli forces detained Issam Abdel-Qadder Subieh in Hizma town.
3. Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Anwar Obaid, Fayez Muhaisen, Nadim Al-Safadi, Adam Mahmoud, Nidal Farroukh, and Saleh Abu Asab in Al-Eisawiya village.

Temporary Detention

On January 2nd 2020, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city placed Shadi Al-Matour {a resident of Beit Hanina town} under home detention for a period of 4 days as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.

House Demolition

At 09:00, Israeli authorities forced Maher Mohammad Musa Sari to demolish his home in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city in order to avoid a fine in the event that the Israeli Military demolishes the home for being allegedly built without a license.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1.At 11:00,a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
2. At 13:30 and again at 19:00, Israeli Police officers stormed Bab Al-Rahma prayer area in Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem then assaulted worshipers and forcibly removed them from the mosque after spraying them with pepper spray.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ras Kar Kar village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 13:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Mughier village, detained 3 residents and confiscated a tractor.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Nader Khalil Abu Aliya, Rasim Khalil Abu Aliya, and Hazem Khalil Abu Aliya in Al-Mughier village.

Confiscation of Property

At 13:10, Israeli forces confiscated a tractor owned by Khalil Abu Aliya during their raid into Al-Mughier village.

Settlers Attacks

At 14:20, a group of Israeli settlers leveled agricultural land located in Harshat Aarea in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village.

TUBAS

Raid

At 15:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Malah village in the North Jordan valley, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 16:45.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jit village then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.

Raid

1. At 15:20, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, stormed and searched a home and summoned the child: Akram Tayseer Awad Mansour to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning then withdrew at 23:05.
2. At 21:20, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town until 00:10.

Attack

At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned at the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village {which is closed by the Israeli Military} fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents {protesting against the continued closure} for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

On the morning of January 2nd 2020, Israeli forces leveled a plot of agricultural land in Assalat village near "Alvi Manshat" settlement.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 09:35,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furik military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

At dawn on January 1st 2020, Israeli forces raided the east neighborhoods of Nablus city, stormed and searched a steel mill located near Salem village junction and confiscated equipment.

Confiscation of Property

At dawn on January 2nd 2020, Israeli forces confiscated equipment owned by Mohammad Atta Shara'tiya after storming his steel mill located near Salem village junction during their raid into the east neighborhoods of Nablus city.

Settlers Attacks

At 04:10, a group of Israeli settlers riding a vehicle raided Nablus city as they attempted to storm Joseph's Tomb then were chased away by Palestinian Police force officer who were guarding the Tomb.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:20.
2. At 21:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 10:10, Israeli forces raided Rafat village until 13:30.
2. At 11:20, Israeli forces raided Deir Ballout town.
3. At 01:10, Israeli forces raided Yasuf village.

JERICHO

Military Checkpoints

At 09:10,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Hamra Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 17:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road in Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 22:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 00:30.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1.At 15:05 and again at 19:30,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jalla city then searched residents and vehicles until 19:30.

Attack

At 15:25, Israeli forces positioned at "Kafar Itsiyon" settlement junction opened fire towards and injured a resident before detaining him.

Settlers Attacks

At 19:25, a Israeli settler driving his vehicle along the main road near Al-Minat village located in south Teqou' town ran over Billal Sa'id Ghazal and as a result left him hospitalized with a fractured leg.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured Hussien Mohammad Musa Yunis {a resident of Bethlehem city} after opening fire towards him near "Kafar Itsiyon" settlement junction.
2. Billal Sa'id Ghazal was hospitalized with a fractured leg after he was run over by a Israeli settler vehicle travelling along the main road near Al-Minat village located in south Teqou' town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Hussien Mohammad Musa Yunis {a resident of Bethlehem city} after opening fire towards him near "Kafar Itsiyon" settlement junction.

HEBRON

Raid

At 17:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Samou' town, detained 2 residents then confiscated surveillance camera footage from a merchant shop.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Qassim Khalil Musalam Khalayla and Mohammad Harb Mahariq in Al-Samou' town.

Attack

On the evening of January 2nd 2020, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Thaher area located in Beit Ummar town and near " Karmi Tsur" settlement fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several resiednts and homes for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Temporary Detention

At 12:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 Palestinian employees of the Ministry of Health : Dr. Firas Abu Ali, Abdel-Rahman Sami, and Adel Jabour.in the Al-Musafer area, east of Yatta. The vehicle of the Ministry was also seized (equipped with some tools, emergency devices, and some medications) , While they were going to provide medical services in the area, and they were later released.

Closure of main Roads

At 08:30, Israeli forces closed the road leading to the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp and impeded the free flow of traffic.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Central Gaza and Khan Yunis district.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 09:00 on January 2nd 2020,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Deir Al-Balah city.
2. At 21:00 on January 2nd 2020, Israeli forces opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards agricultural land in east Deir Al-Balah city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 03:20 on January 3rd 2020,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
