DAILY SITUATION REPORT
08:00, 3rd January 2020 – 08:00, 4th January 2020
1. At 13:00,Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Alaa Munther Dawood Naguib, Rami Al-Fakhouri and Jihad Qousin the old city of Jerusalem.
2. At 13:30, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Raed Maatouk and Abdul Qadir Nasser, after assaulting them at Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city.
1. At 12:20, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Sahil area in Al-Mugheir village fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators protesting against Israeli settler violence and land confiscation for the purpose of settlement expansion and as a result injured 3 residents.
2. At 13:20, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 16:40,Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Deir Intham village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 16:40,Israeli forces positioned at Ein Harshat area located in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators protesting against Israeli settler violence and land confiscation for the purpose of settlement expansion.
Israeli forces injured 3 residents: Qusay Najeeb al-Na`san, Muhammad Thaer Abu Alia, and Na`san Faris al-Na`san during clashes in Al-Sahil area in Al-Mugheir village.
1. At dawn on January 3rd 2020, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town and detained a resident.
2. At 14:40, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town until 16:55.
1. On the evening of January 3rd 2020, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Nizar Mustafa Jarban {a resident of Rumana village}, and Bakr Amin Abu Bakr {a resident of Jenin city} near "Salem" Military base located in North West Jenin city.
2. Israeli forces detained Uday Tayseer Musa Ghawadrat {a resident of Bi'r Al-Basha village}.
At 13:15, Israeli forces confiscated 5 tractors owned by: Jamal Al-Hamdan, Salim Daraghmeh, Ibrahim Khadr Daraghmeh, Kamal Ghazi Daraghmeh, and Naseem Ali Mahmoud. as they were working on agricultural land in Um Al-Baqa area in the North Jordan valley for allegedly being located in an alleged closed military zone.
At 23:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jit village junction and detained a Palestinian Intellegnce force officer.
1. At 14:50, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and detained a resident.
2. At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Hablat town until 03:50.
1. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near Jit village junction detained Firas Nidal Ahmad Aqel {a resident of Kafr Qaddum village} {a Palestinian Intelligence force officer}.
2. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Abdel-Fattah Othman Radwan in Azzun town.
1. At 12:40,Israeli forces positioned at the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village {which is closed by the Israeli Military} fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents {protesting against the continued closure} for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:20,Israeli forces positioned near Jaljuliya military checkpoint located at the south east entrance of Qalqiliya city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sabastiya village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 18:00.
1. At 11:40, Israeli forces raided Qabalan town and Yitma village until 17:00.
2. At 13:40, Israeli forces raided Qusra town and Jawarish viillage until 17:00.
3. At 14:40, Israeli forces raided Salem, Azmmout and Deir Al-Hatab villages until 15:45.
4. At 16:00, Israeli forces raided Burin and Iraq Burin villages.
At 21:15, Israeli forces positioned near Salem village junction detained 3 children: Hassan Husam Azmi Oshibi {16 years old}, Muhammad Azzam Oshibi {16 years old}, and Asem Hatem, Asim Darwish {17 years old}, {all are residents of Askar camp in Nablus city}.
At 11:15,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Al-Hamra Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.
At 11:40 and again at 19:45,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 20:40.
At 12:50, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city until 16:55.
1. At 17:20, Israeli forces positioned at Container Military checkpoint detained Soliman Habas Al-Mahariq {a resident of Al-Samou' town in Hebron district}.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned at Container Military checkpoint detained Salah Abdel-Kareem Abu Sineneh {a resident of Hebron city}.
At 16:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles until 18:00.
1. At dawn on January 3rd 2020, Israeli forces raided Halhul town and detained a resident.
2. At dawn on January 3rd 2020, Israeli forces raided Al-Arrub camp and detained a resident.
3. At 17:30, Israeli forces raided Hebron city until 18:00.
4. At 23:55, Israeli forces raided Bani Na'im town until 03:30.
1. Israeli forces detained Sami Abdel-Fattah Al-Turat in Halhul town.
2. Israeli forces detained Ahmad Mohammad Nimr Jawabrat {14 years old} in Al-Arrub camp.
3. At 18:20, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Arrub camp detained 2 children: Ahmad Muhammad Dalloul {17 years old}, and Khaled Jasser Al Sharif {14 years old}{both are residents of Al-Arrub camp}.
4. At 19:10, Israeli forces positioned at the North entrance of Hebron city detained Salah-Al-Din Ayman Abu Shamsiya {a resident of Hebron city}.
5. At 24:00, Israeli forces positioned at Abu Al-Rish Military checkpoint located in the old city of Hebron detained Ameer Abdel-Ma'az Shihada {a resident of Hebron city}.
6. On the evening of January 3rd 2020, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Shuda road detained Soliman Habas Mahariq {a resident of Al-Samou' town}.
• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.
•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.
* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.
* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
At 10:15 on January 3rd 2020,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land located in east Gaza city.

*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.
