WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

• At 14:00, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Jaba checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Ein Al-Loza area in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem and searched civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint under the bridge of the town of Bir Nibala and searched civilians and vehicles.
(iii) At 01:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Anata and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At 18:00, Israeli forces raided the towns of Izariyye and Abu Dis and patrolled them until 19:30.

Detention

(i) On 31 July 2016, Israeli forces arrested 3 civilians in a coffee shop in Salaheddin road. The civilians are Samer Sayel, Waseem Sayel and Yazan Salameh.
(ii) On 31 July 2016, Israeli forces arrested 2 civilians in Shufat neighborhood in Jerusalem. The civilians are Nasr Abu Khdeir and Mohammad Abu Khdeir.

Attack

• At 20:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Hizma town fired tear gas canisters, stun grenades and rubber coated steel bullets for alleged atoning.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of extremist settlers guarded by Israeli forces raided the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

• At 00:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the village of Deir Ammar and searched civilians and vehicles until 02:00.

Raid

At 01:40, Israeli forces raided the village of Shuqba and patrolled it until 03:00.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Mithelon and searched civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the village of Al-Jadida and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At 03:40, Israeli forces raided the village of Barta’a Al-Sharqiyyeh, arrested 2 civilians and withdrew at 06:30.

Detention

The 2 civilians arrested in Barta’a Al-Sharqiyyeh are Sufyan Abdellatif Mahmoud Mari and Kamal Abdelqader Hussein Kubha.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

• At 19:30, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Einav checkpoint, impeded traffic and reopened it at 21:00.

Raid

At 13:20, Israeli forces raided the city of Tulkarem and patrolled it until 14:10.

QALQILIYA

Raid

(i) At 14:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Azun and patrolled it until 16:50.
(ii) At 24:00, Israeli forces raided the city of Qalqilya, clashed with civilians during raid on 2 workshops, physically assaulted with gun butts civilian Haitham Khaled Ramadan Hotari and injured him, and withdrew at 05:25.

Attack

At 24:00 Israeli force fired during raid on Qalqeleh live bullets, rubber coated steel bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters for alleged stoning while storming 2 homes and a workshop.

Detention

(i) At 23:30, Israeli forces at Iyal checkpoint north of the city of Qalqilya arrested university student Hussein Rajab Abu Kheit, a resident of Askar refugee camp in Nablus.
(ii) At 00:20, Israeli forces arrested civilian Riyad Awad Ibrahim Amer, a resident of the town of Habla.

Physical Assault

• At 24:00, Israeli forces assaulted with gun butts during a raid on the city of Qalqilya civilian Haitham Khaled Ramadan Hotari seriously injuring him.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

• At 14:55, Israeli forces closed Huwara checkpoint in the aftermath of the killing of a civilian by Israeli forces positioned at the checkpoint.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the junction of the village of Deir Sharaf (on Nablus-Tulkarem main road) and searched civilians and vehicles until 09:45.
(ii) At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the town of Beta and searched civilians and vehicles until 22:15.
(iii) At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bourin village and searched civilians and vehicles until 22:15.

Raid

(i) At 10:00, Israeli forces raided the village of Qusra, clashed with civilians during patrol and withdrew at 11:50.
(i) At 21:00 and 06:15, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the city of Nablus and arrested a military office from the Preventive Security Forces.
(ii) At 23:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Huwara and patrolled it until 23:45.
(iii) At 02:05, Israeli forces raided the town of Qiblan, arrested 2 brothers and withdrew at 05:25.
(iv) At 03:45, Israeli forces raided the village of Roujib, arrested 1 civilian and withdrew at 04:30.
(v) At 04:35, Israeli forces raided the village of Madma and stormed into and searched 1 civilian home.

Detention

(i) The civilian arrested in Nablus is Military Officer Mahyoub Burhan Rashad Qanaze.
(ii) The 2 civilians arrested in Qiblan are Ramah Imran Khalil Aqra and his brother Mohammad.
(iii) The civilian arrested in Roujib village is Ali Hani Rawajbeh.

Attack

(i) At 10:20, Israeli forces fired during raid on the village of Qusra stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards civilians for alleged stoning.
(ii) At 14:55, Israeli force positioned at Huwara checkpoint opened fire towards civilians killing 1 civilian for alleged stabbing attempt.

Killings

The civilian killed at Huwara checkpoint is Rami Mohammad Ali Awartani, 31, from Nablus.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

• At 22:30, Israeli forces intensified restrictions at Zaatara checkpoint and impeded flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town and searched civilians and vehicles.
(ii) At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Kafr Al-Dik town and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

• At 15:40, Israeli forces raided the town of Deir Ballout, set up a checkpoint and raided it until 16:20.

Temporary Detention

• At 20:00, Israeli forces detained near Ariel settlement civilian Ibrahim Jamal Asmar (taxi driver) from Salfit and released him at a later time.

Settlers Attacks

• At 23:20, a group of settlers from Ariel settlement stoned civilian vehicles and damaged the windscreen of a vehicle owned by civilian Mohammad Ahed Sleiman from Deir Istiyya.

Destruction of Property

At 23:20, Israeli settlers from Ariel settlement damaged windscreen of a vehicle owned by civilian Mohammad Ahed Sleiman from Deir Istiya.

JERICHO

Detention

On 30 July 2016, Israeli forces arrested at Al-Karama “Allenby” Crossing civilian Said Ishteiwi Abu Fayyad from the village of Izbet Nasser in Tulkarem.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

(i) At 08:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village on the east entrance of Beit Sahour and searched civilians and vehicles until 09:45.
(ii) At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of Zaatara town and searched civilians and vehicles.

Raid

(i) At 02:15 on 31 July 2016, Israeli forces raided Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem and delivered notification to civilian Shadi Mohammad Mustafa Atta Abu Aker to report to the military intelligence.
(ii) At dawn on 31 July 2016, Israeli forces raided the city of Al-Khader and arrested 1 civilian.
(iii) At 03:120, Israeli forces raided Teqoa town and arrested 2 civilians (including 1 child).
(iv) At 05:30, Israeli forces raided Dheisheh refugee camp, clashed with civilians during house search, injured 2 civilians (including 1 child), arrested 2 civilians and withdrew at 07:25.

Detention

(i) The civilian arrested in Al-Khader town is Ahmad Rizeq Issa.
(ii) The 2 civilians arrested in Teqoa are Abdallah Youssef Al-Badan, 17, and Mustafa Taleb Ibrahim.
(iii) The 2 civilians arrested in Dheisheh refugee camp are Yazan Mohammad Saleh Jueidi and Mustafa Attieh Jibril Hasanat.

Attack

• At 03:55, Israeli force fired during raid on Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem live bullets, rubber coated steel bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters, injuring 2 civilians (including 1 child).
• Injuries: The 2 civilians injured in Dheisheh refugee camp are Mohammad Yasser Saleh Rizek, 17, and Ramzi Nasser Hussein Abu Ajamiyyeh.

Injuries

The 2 injured in Duhesheh Camp are: Muhammad Saleh 17, and Naser Abu Ajameh

Closure of main Roads

At 23:20, Israeli forces closed the main entrance of the village of Marah Barah.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

• At 10:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Arroub refugee camp and searched civilians and vehicles until 12:00.

Raid

(i) At 20:40, Israeli forces raided and patrolled the city of Hebron.
(ii) At 01:15, Israeli forces raided the town of Dura, stormed into several civilian homes, arrested 16 civilians and withdrew at 05:35.
(iii) At 02:40, Israeli forces raided the town of Sair, arrested 3 civilians and withdrew at 05:35.
(iv) At dawn on 1 July 2016, Israeli forces raided the town of Surif and arrested 1 civilian.

Detention

(i) The 16 civilians arrested in Dura are Mohammad Ismail Faqih, Hussein Jabara Faqih, Haitham Ismail Talahmeh, Asharaf Mohammad Khalil Amro, Ayed Mohammad Faqih, Firas Ayed Faqih, Mohammad Ayed Faqih, Badr Ziyad Abu Hleil, Iyad Ziyad Abu Hleil, Ahmad Abdel Majid Amayreh, Mufid Mousa Abdelmajid Shadid, Anas Ibrahim Abdelmajid Shadid, Khalid Ali Sleiman Tbeish, Ahad Azmi Tbeish, Shaher Abdel Majid Yaryoush and Mohammad Abdelmajid yaryoush.
(ii) The 3 civilians arrested in the town of Sair are Issa Mousa Tarayreh, Ra’a al-Tarwa and Musab Izzat Shalaldeh.
(iii) The civilian arrested in the town of Surif is Mohammad Ibrahiim Al-Hoor.

Attack

At 02:50, Israeli forces in the area of Wadi Ayyash near the town of Beit Ummar opened fir towards 2 civilians.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area from 300 to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the sea port and airports in the coming month. On 3 April 2016 the decision to expand the fishing area from 6 to 9 nautical miles entered into effect but the Israeli authorities reduced the area back to 6 nautical miles on 26 June 2016.
Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their position behind the Green Line towards Khan Younis and central Gaza. Israeli navy boats opened fire towards fishing boats in Northern Gaza and injured 1 female civilian.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

• Beit Hanun (Erez) is partially open for humanitarian cases, international journalists, employees working for humanitarian agencies, businessmen and passengers traveling though Al-Karama Crossing.

Attack

At 08:30 on 31 July 2016, Israeli navy boats opened fire towards fishing boats in Soudaniyye area west of Beit Lahia.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
(ii) Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

• At 18:30 on 29 July 2016, Israeli forces opened fire from their position behind the Green Lines towards agricultural lands east of Maghazi refugee camp injuring 1 female civilian.

Injuries

The female civilian injured east of Maghazi refugee camp is Samah Mohammad Al-Nuami.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

(i) At 08:00 on 31 July 2016, Israeli forces opened fire from their position behind the Green Line towards agricultural lands east of the town of Qarara.
(ii) At 08:00 on 31 July 2016, Israeli forces opened fire from their position behind the Green Line towards agricultural lands east of the town of Abasan Al-Kabira.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

(i) Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
(ii) Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
(iii) Sufa Crossing is closed
(iv) Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
