DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

• At 19:00 on 13/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces imposed a complete closure on the governorates of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, due to their celebration of the establishment of the State of Israel, and prevented citizens and workers, including those holding permits, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, with the exception of diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian cases and emergency medical cases after prior coordination, until 24:00 on 15/04/2021.

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. On the evening of 14/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the Bab al-Amud area in the Old City of Jerusalem detained the citizen: Abdullah Al-Shalabi.
2. At 19:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained Muhannad Bashiti in the Old City of Jerusalem.
3. At 20:45,the Israeli occupation forces detained Mahmoud Al-Shawish in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Attack

At 20:45,the Israeli occupation forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards the citizens in the vicinity of Bab al-Amud in the Old City of Jerusalem to prevent them from sitting in the area.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. At 08:30, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.
2. On the evening of 14/04/2021, the occupation forces prevented the entry of hundreds of Iftar meals that are distributed to fasting people who break their fast in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque (for the second day in a row), and they also prevented those fasting from breaking their fast in Al-Ghazali Square adjacent to the eastern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Detention

On 13/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at one of the military checkpoint detained 2 citizens: Mahmoud Walid Ismail and his brother Uday - both are residents of Ein Arik, while they were returning from Jericho.

Settlers Attacks

At 00:25, a group of settlers from the settlement of "Beit El" threw stones at the citizens' vehicles passing on the main road near the colony, which led to the smashing of the windows of the vehicle of the citizen: Ali Salahat.

JENIN

Raid

At 09:20, the Israeli occupation forces raided the towns of Araba and Jaba Wassila al-Dhahr, and conducted a patrol.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:30, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Jeet, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 18:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint under the Azzun bridge (on the main road Qalqilya - Tulkarm), to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the "Shafi Shimron" settlement junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to Jericho city, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 20:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho city, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the village of Al-Jaba, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 22:15, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 17:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Khader town, and patrolled until 18:55.

Detention

At 13:15, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Nadi Hassan Muhammad Ismail - a resident of Artas village.

HEBRON

Detention

At 16:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of Hebron detained the citizen: Moamen Salem Idris.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": 14/04/2021 is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently and by a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010, by unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sufa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 14/04/2021, partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs, goods, building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 14/04/2021, is open in both directions (for the entry and departure of citizens).
