WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

At 24:00 on April 16th 2018, the Israeli Military imposed a total closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian cases and emergency medical cases until 24:00 on April 19th 2018.

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 11:30 on April 16th 2018, Israeli forces raided Kafr Aqab town.
2. On April 16th 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village, stormed and searched several homes and merchant shops then detained a resident.
3. At 00:10 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces raided Biddu town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Nasim Harbi Obied in Al-Eisawiya village.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

Settlers Attacks

On the evening of April 15th 2018, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Bab Al-Rahma Islamic Cemetery in the old city of Jerusalem and demolished a tomb stone.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Yabroud village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 11:35, Israeli forces raided Rantis village.
2. At 02:55, Israeli forces raided Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh city and detained 3 residents.
3. At 04:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Mughier village and assaulted 2 residents after storming their home.

Detention

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces detained Musa Salah Samhan{A journalist} {A resident of Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village}.
2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ahmed Abdel Mohsen, Dawood Soliman Ghabb, and Nadir Abbas in Al-Amari camp in Al-Bireh city.

Physical Assault

At 04:10, Israeli forces assaulted 2 residents: Nabil Shahir Abu Aliya and Wissam hahir Abu Aliya after storming their home in Al-Mughier village.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Burqin town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 06:00.
2. At 02:10, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qud and Arqa villages.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Khalid Ali Qabalawi, and Nour al-Din Hamada in Bruqin town.

Attack

At dawn on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Bruqin town and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Settlers Attacks

On the evening of April 16th 2018, a group of Israeli settler stormed Homish settlement {which was abandoned} then stoned and threw glass bottles towards the vehicle owned by Mohammad Za'rour {A resident of Silat Al-Thaher town} and as a result damaged the vehicle.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Bardala village junction located in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Raid

1. At 16:20, Israeli forces raided Quffin and Baqa Al-Sharqiya towns, Nazlat Al-Sharqiya, Nazlat Al-Gharbiya and Nazlat Issa villages.
2. At 02:15, Israeli forces raided Anabta town and Kafr Al-Labad villages, stormed and searched the home of Abdel-Jaber Ahmad Ghazalat, confiscated 1600 NIS and a Gold Dinar from the home.

Confiscation of Property

At 02:15, Israeli forces confiscated 1600 NIS and a Gold Dinar after storming and searching the home of Abdel-Jaber Ahmad Ghazalat during their raid into Kafr Al-Labbad village.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 20:15, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qaddum village.
2. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and detained 5 residents {including 2 children}.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 5 residents {including 2 children}: Jafar Muhannad Dahbour, Yazan Shabaita {17 years old}, Abdul Hafeez Shabita, Ahmed Mohammed Abu Haniya, and Usama Bilal Suwaidan {16 years} in Azzun town.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beita town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 11:20 and again at 23:30, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured a child and left him hospitalized and then detained a resident.
2. At 11:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Nassira village.
3. At 14:20, Israeli forces raided Qabalan town.
4. On April 16th 2018, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the village then clashed with several residents and withdrew at a later time.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Husam Muhisien Al-Razat in Nablus city.

Attack

1. On April 16th 2018, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several resident for alleged stoning as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites during their raid into Sabastiya village.
2. At 23:30, Israeli forces fired live ammunition,rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several resident for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result injured a child and left him hospitalized and then detained a resident during their raid into Nablus city.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Mohammad Osama Kharaz {16 years old} during clashes in Nablus city.

Settlers Attacks

At dawn on April 17th 2018, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village and slashed the tire of approximately 30 vehicles and spray painted racist graffiti on the vehicles and home walls.

SALFIT

Raid

At 00:40, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan and summoned 2 residents: Saed Yousef Mar'i and Harbi Hamad Mari to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles until 12:20.
2. At 10:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages in Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 15:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 01:30,Israeli forces raided Bethlehem and Beit Sahur cities.
2. At 03:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, stormed and searched a home, detained a secondary school student and confiscated his cellular telephone.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ibrahim Sulaiman Jamil Dadaoua {a secondary school student} in Al-Khader town.

Destruction of Property

At 10:45, Israeli forces stormed B'ir Unat area located near "Gilo" bridge located in North Beit Jallah city and demolished a storage den owned by Emad Abdel Aziz Abdel Hadi Hamida.

Confiscation of Property

At 03:10, Israeli forces confiscated a cellular telephone owned by Ibrahim Sulaiman Jamil Dadaoua {a secondary school student} after detaining him in Al-Khader town.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:00, Israeli forces set up 5 checkpoints at the entrance of Jorat Bahlas {located at the North entrance of Hebron city}, the entrances of Bani Na'im town and Al-Fuwar camp, at Beit Einun village junction and along bypass road 35 located in North Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 00:10, Israeli forces raided Yatta and Al-Thahriya towns then stormed and searched several homes.
2. At 00:35, Israeli forces raided Hebron city.
3. At 02:15,Israeli forces raided Halhul town then stormed and searched several homes.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

On April 16th 2018, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military raised Israeli flags on the walls of Al-Ibrahimi mosque compound in the old city of Hebron {on the east and west walls} in celebration of Israel's 70 Independence day anniversary.

Settlers Attacks

At 18:45, a group of Israeli settlers assaulted the home of Abu Rajab family in the old city of Hebron.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on April 11th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 9 nautical miles for a period of 3 months.

•The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards North Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.
•The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards demonstrators in Central Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Raid

At 09:30 on April 16th 2018, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 meters into the vicinity of east Jabaliya town and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 15;30.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

On the morning of April 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired towards several Sheppard who were herding their goats in east Al-Maghazi camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 09:30 on April 16th 2018, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 meters into the vicinity of east Khan Yunis city and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 15:30.

Attack

1. At 10:00 on April 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in North east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 13:00 on April 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} located in east Khuz'a town located in Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
