WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on April 16th 2018, the Israeli Military imposed a total closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian cases and emergency medical cases until 24:00 on April 19th 2018.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 01:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Al-Eisawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Halmish" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 23:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city.

Attack

1. At 13:10, Israeli forces positioned at "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near Bet El settlement in North Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents as they were commemorating {Palestinian Prisoner Day} for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.
2. At 17:30, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Naji Ali Attiya {A resident of Ramallah city} during clashes at "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near Bet El settlement in North Al-Bireh city.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 08:10, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town and Fahma village.
2. At 01:10, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a steel mill and confiscated its equipment.

Detention

At 02:10 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Mustafa Yassin Yahya during their raid into Al-Arqa village.

Attack

At 01:10, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a steel mill and confiscated its equipment during their raid into Jenin city .

Confiscation of Property

At 01:10, Israeli forces confiscated steel mill equipment owned by Hisham Al-Rakh after storming a steel mill during their arid into Jenin city.

TUBAS

Raid

At 10:30, Israeli forces raided Ein Al-Bayda village located in the North Jordan valley.

Detention

1. On April 16th 2018, Israeli forces detained Mustafa Mohammad Mustafa Sawafta {A resident of Tubas city}.
2. At 10:00 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Naji Salah Harbi {A resident of Al-Far'a camp}.

TULKAREM

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous town and Kafr Al-Jamal village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 09:05, Israeli forces raided Kafr Sur and Safarin villages.
2. At 09:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Lid town.
3. At 16:10, Israeli forces raided Baqa Al-Sharqiya and Zeita towns, Nazlat Issa and Nazlat Al-Gharbiya villages.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:30 and again at 00:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 19:40, Israeli forces raided Hablat town.
2. At 21:40, Israeli forces raided Azzun town, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes.

Attack

At 21:40, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters toward several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Azzun town.

Land Levelling

On the morning of April 17th 2018, Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed Immatin village and leveled 15 dunums of agricultural land owned by Fawzi Nasser Ghanam for the purpose of expanding "Immanuel" settlement after Israeli Military courts issued an order for the leveling.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

On the evening of April 17th 2018, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Settlers Attacks

At 14:30, a group of Israeli from "Yitshar" settlement stormed agricultural land in Madma village and assaulted several farmers and uprooted several trees during which Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents as they attempted to prevent the settler attack.

Attack

At 14:30, Israeli forces fired fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents as they attempted to prevent Israeli settlers from "Yitshar" settlement who stormed agricultural land in Madma village, assaulted several farmers and uprooted several trees .

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 15:10.

Detention

On April 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Container Military checkpoint detained Ameed Ahmed Abdel-Karim Deek {A resident of Kafr Al-Dik town in Bethlehem city}.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 19:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na'im town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 21:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sa'ir town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Ithna and Beit Awwa towns and Deir Sammit villages then summoned 2 residents:
Lotfi Hassan Awad {A resident of Ithna town, and Mohammed Yusri Harob {A resident of Deir Sammit village} to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 04:20.
2. At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir and Bani Na'im towns then stormed and searched several homes.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on April 11th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 9 nautical miles for a period of 3 months.

•The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards Gaza district.
•The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire and launching 5 tank artillery shells from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza , Khan Yunis and Rafah districts and as a result injured 13 residents {including a child and 5 Palestinian gunmen {1 of whom is critically injured}.
•Palestinian Gunmen broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from east Al-Buriej camp in Central Gaza towards Israeli forces positioned near the border fence.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients and the entry of Gaza I.D holders until 13:00.

Attack

At 16:00 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} located in east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Raid

At 14:20 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 meters into the vicinity of east Al-Zaytoun neighborhood located in south east Gaza city and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 16:20.

Attack

At 16:00 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} located in east Gaza city and as a result injured 4 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 4 unidentified residents during clashes in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 13:30 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} located in east Al-Buriej camp and as a result injured 2 residents including a child.
2. At 19:45 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched tank artillery shells towards Palestinian gunmen in east Al-Buriej camp.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents {including a child} during clashes in in east Al-Buriej camp.

Palestinian Attacks

At 19:35 on April 17th 2018, Palestinian Gunmen positioned in east Al-Buriej camp opened fire towards Israeli forces positioned near the border fence.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 16:00 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} located in east Khuz'a town located in Khan Yunis city and as a result injured 2 residents.
2. At 04:00 on April 18th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired 3 tank artillery shells towards Palestinian gunmen in east Khuz'a town located in Khan Yunis city and as a result injured 5 Gunmen {including 1 critically injured}..
3. At 04:30 on April 18th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khuz'a town located in east Gaza city.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents during clashes in east Khuz'a town located in east Gaza city.
2. Israeli injured 5 unidentified Palestinian Gunmen {including 1 critically injured} after firing 3 tank artillery shells towards Palestinian gunmen in east Khuz'a town located in Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.

At 16:00 on April 17th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canister towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} in east Al-Nahda neighborhood located in east Rafah city.
