WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

• At 24:00 on April 18th 2019, The Israeli Military imposed a total closure on the West Bank governorates on the occasion of the "Passover holiday" of the Jews, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except for humanitarian cases after prior coordination with diplomatic and international staff until 24:00 on April 27th 2019.

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 10:50, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp and clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a merchant shop.
2. At 21:00, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city and took photograph's of several building near the checkpoint.

Detention

At 21:00, Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Ziad al-Rajabi, Mohammed Samih Alian, Anas Khatib, Mutasim Abu Nab and Mohammed Khatib in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Attack

At 10:50, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several merchant shops during their raid into Qalandiya camp.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On April 18th 2019, , the Israeli occupation forces reopened Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city for all civilians for 24 hours daily except for Saturdays during which the checkpoint will be open from 22:00 until 10:00 on Sunday.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bir Ziet town then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atara town bridge then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.
3. At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint beneath Yabroud village bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 18:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.
5. At 21:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Abu Mash'al village then searched residents and vehicles.
6. At 21:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 14:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city, stormed a supermarket owned by Osama Alawi and confiscated surveillance camera footage from the store.

Detention

On April 18th 2019, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Shaher Hassan Al-Najjar {a resident of Al-Jalazoun camp}.

Confiscation of Property

At 14:10, Israeli forces confiscated surveillance camera footage from a supermarket owned by Osama Alawi during their raid into Al-Bireh city.

Closure of main Roads

At 21:55, Israeli forces closed the steel gate located along the main road leading to Al-Jalazoun camp near Bet El settlement then reopened it at 03:40.

JENIN

Detention

At 09:25, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mahmoud Mu'ayyad 'Abd al-Latif al-Sa'di {17 years old}, and' Abdul Ra'uf Muhammad Shehadeh al-Natour {16 years old} {both are residents of Jenin camp} as they were reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning based on a prior summon.

TUBAS

Detention

At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned at Tayassir military checkpoint temporarily detained 2 residents: Wael Fawaz Saleh Sawafta and Samah Ibrahim Sawafta then released them at 14:30.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 15:35,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Enav military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 18:20.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:50,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Iraq Burin village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 11:00.
2. At 12:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Muraba' area located near the entrance of Tel village then searched residents and vehicles until 12:30.

Raid

At dawn on April 18th 2019, Israeli forces raided Burqa village, temporarily detained 2 residents then released them at a later time.

Detention

At 13:45, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Labban Al-Sharqiya village detained Shaheen Mahmoud Shaheen {15 years old}{a resident of Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village} for alleged stoning towards Israeli settler vehicles.

Temporary Detention

At dawn on April 18th 2019, Israeli forces temporarily detained 2 residents: Maan Nour El Din El Shaer and Mostafa Mohamed Said Hajja during their raid into Burqa village then released them at a later time.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 01:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya town, stormed and searched then home of Omar Abu Lielah {who was killed by Israeli forces} and took measurement and photograph's of the home in order to prepare it for demolition then withdrew at 04:30.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 22:30.

Detention

At 16:20, Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Ali Issa {a resident of Al-Khader town} as he was reporting to Israeli Intelligence for questioning based on a prior summon.

Attack

At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Teqou' town fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a child.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured the child: Osama Ali Mohammad Al-Badan {16 years old} during clashes near the entrance of Teqou' town.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 21:35, Israeli forces raided Hebron city,demolished 2 apartment buildings owned by Al-Assir family clashed with several residents then withdrew at 04:30.

Detention

At 02:40 on April 18th 2019, Israeli forces detained Omar Mahmoud Ghanimat during their raid into Surif town {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}.

Attack

At 21:35, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they demolished 2 apartment building owned by Al-Assir family during their raid into Hebron city.

House Demolition

At 21:35, Israeli forces demolished 2 apartment buildings owned by Al-Assir family

Settlers Attacks

On the evening of April 18th 2019, Israeli settlers stormed Al-Shuhada road in the old city of Hebron and attacked the home of Ishaq Ramadan and sprayed pepper spray onto his face leaving him suffocated then attacked several other residents.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip and on April 1st 2019 allowed the increase of fishing area from Al-Waha area which is located northwest o Beit Lahiya town in the northern Gaza Strip and up to the port of Gaza to 6 nautical miles , increase from the port of Gaza and to Wadi Gaza to 12 nautical miles, Gaza and up to Khan Yunis beach to 15 nautical miles, and from Khan Yunis beach and south of Rafah beach to 12 nautical miles.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis and Rafah district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 09:35 on April 18th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 09:00 on April 18th 2019, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khuz'a'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 09:15 on April 18th 2019, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.
3. At 15:45 on April 18th 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Abbassan town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.

Attack
