WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

• On March 26th 2018, Israeli Military imposed a full closure on the on the West Bank and Gaza for a period of 8 days for the Jewish Passover holidays starting on midnight of Thursday March 29th 2018 until April 7th 2018.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Anata town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 15:30, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several merchant shops and detained 3 residents.
2. At dawn on April 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 6 children.

Detention

1. At 13:00, Israeli forces detained Yacoub Jamal Al Halabi {A resident of Abu Dis town}.
2. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ayman Samreen {A resident of Shu'fat Camp in Jerusalem}, Hamdi Samara {A resident of Bab Al Amud area in Jerusalem city} and Yousef Omar {A resident of Dura village in Hebron district} in Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.
3.Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Mahmoud Ashraf Obaid {13 years old}, Saleh Ashraf al-Fakhouri {13-year-old} Ismail Ali al-Aasi{15-year-old} Yunus Sufian Obaid{14-year-old} Radha Mohammed Khader Obaid{ 17 years old} and Ali Amjad Attia {13-year-old} in Al-Eisawiya village.

Attack

At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Quds University campus in Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 5 residents and left 87 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 5 residents{those identified are}: Nader Sa'id Hussein Eid {A resident of Bethlehem City}, and Basil Mohammed Ibrahim Masnat {A resident of Deir Bze'a village} during clashes near Al-Quds University campus in Abu Dis town.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Halmish" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 21:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. At 10:10, Israeli forces detained Malik Mahmoud Al Arouri {A resident of Aroura village}
2. At 16:15, Israeli forces detained Salah Barghouthi {A resident of Deir Ghassana town}.

Attack

On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Turmus'aya town fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning towards a Israeli settler bus along the main road.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

1. On the evening of April 1st 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Silah Al-Harthiya town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafr Dan village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. On the evening of April 1st 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Arraba town then searched residents and vehicles.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bardala village located in the North Jordan valley then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 19:45, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

At 14:50, Israeli forces raided Quffin town.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city and detained a University student.
2. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nabi Eliyas village{located along the main road connecting Qalqiliya and Nablus} then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 13:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinsafut village then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 14:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jayyous town and detained a resident.

Detention

1.Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city detained Mohammed Ali Mohammed Sweilem {A resident of Qalqiliya city}{A University student}.
2. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at the entrance of Jayyus town detained Bilal Mohammed Jamil Yousef {A resident of Jayyus town}.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 16:00 and again at 19:15, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwaara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

1. At dawn on April 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Nablus city and detained 3 residents.
2. At dawn on April 2nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Aqraba town and served a military order for the demolition of a home owned by the family of Abdel-Rahman Maher Bani Fadil {who was killed by the Israeli Military}.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Khaled Alaa Al Taweel, Mohammed Al-Kouni, and Hamza Khouira in Nablus city.

Settlers Attacks

At 16:20, a group of Israeli settler from "Yitmar" settlement herded their goats on civilian owned agricultural land in Khirbiet Yanoun area located in Aqraba town.

SALFIT

Attack

On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned in Khirbeit Ta'mar area located in Deir Ballout town near the wall fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents who were participating in a Olive tree planting event on land which is under threat of confiscation by the Israeli Military and as a result injured a resident and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Fawaz Nasser during clashes near in Khirbeit Ta'mar area located in Deir Ballout town.

JERICHO

Raid

At 02:25, Israeli forces raided Jericho city then stormed and searched a home.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Husan village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 16:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinata town then searched residents and vehicles.

At 01:50, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town , stormed and searched a home then detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Mohamed Alyan Thawabtain Beit Fajjar town.

Settlers Attacks

On April 1st 2018, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Fuwar area located in Wadi Fuqin village and positioned near Agricultural ponds then obstructed the work of several farmers.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar town, fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents then detained a resident.
2. At 21:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 23:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Huwar area {located at the North entrance of Halhul town} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Jawiya village located in east Yatta town , served a military order to halt construction on a home owned by Hussien Al-Jamal Al-Nawaj'a and a water well owned by Issa Hassan Hussien Al-Shawahin for allegedly being built with out a licence.
2. On the evening of April 1st 2018, Israeli forces raided Hebron city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the area then withdrew at a later time.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar town detained Saed Imad Mohammad Al-Salibi.

Attack

On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Beit Ummar town fired stun and tear gas grenades towards several residents as they detained a resident.

Assaults on Property

On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Tuwani village located in east Yatta town temporarily seized a agricultural tractor owned by Mahmoud Hussien Al-Hamamda.

Settlers Attacks

1. On April 1st 2018, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Ein Al-Far'a archaeological site located in North Dura town and installed a tent and conducted Talmudic rituals.
2. On April 1st 2018, a group of Israeli settler from "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement pumped sewage waste from the settlement onto agricultural land in Beit Umar town and as a result damaged 40 dunumes of agricultural land planted with grape vines.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire their positions behind the Green Line towards demonstrators in North Gaza, Gaza ,Central Gaza and Khan Yunis district and as a result injured 11 residents including a handicapped resident who sustained life threatening injuries after being shot in the head}.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for residents leaving the Gaza Strip for humanitarian emergencies from 07:30 to 13:00, and entering the Gaza Strip for citizens with ID cards only until 15:00.

On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators located in east Al-Jabaliya town and as a result injured 5 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Israeli forces injured 5 unidentified residents during clashes in east Al-Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators located in east Al-Zaytuneh neighborhood located south east Gaza city and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident during clashes in east Al-Zaytuneh neighborhood located south east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

On April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators located in east Al-Buriej camp and as a result injured 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents during clashes in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 15:10 on April 1st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators located in east Khuz'a town located in Khan Yunis city and as a result injured 2 residents { including a handicapped resident who sustained life threatening injuries after being shot in the head} and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified residents { including a handicapped resident who sustained life threatening injuries after being shot in the head} during clashes in east Khuz'a town located in Khan Yunis city.

Detention

1. On the morning of April 1st 2018, Israeli forces detained a unidentified residents as he was attempting to climb the border fence from Khan Yunis into Israel.
2. On the evening of April 1st 2018, Israeli forces detained 3 unidentified residents as he was attempting to climb the border fence from Khan Yunis into Israel.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
