WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

Closure

Since 24:00 on April 16th 2018, the Israeli Military imposed a total closure on the West Bank and Gaza Strip on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel, and prevented citizens and workers, including permit holders, from entering Jerusalem and Israel, except diplomatic and international missions, humanitarian cases and emergency medical cases until 24:00 on April 19th 2018.

JERUSALEM

Detention

At 22:30, Israeli forces detained 2 children: Ahmed Kazem Abu Rajab {17 years old}, and Ahmad Ziad Zaidani {14 years old} in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Attack

1. At 22:00, Israeli forces positioned in the vicinity of Shu'fat military checkpoint in Jerusalem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left several of them suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 22:30, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Ziyad Zidani {65 years old} during clashes in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Settlers Attacks

1. On April 19th 2018, a group of armed Israeli settlers stormed Ein Al-Harsha area in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village during which Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent the settlers from entering the area.
2. At dawn on April 20th 2018, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Burqa village, slashed the tires of approximately 45 vehicles and spray painted racist graffiti then withdrew after local residents approached them

Attack

1. At 13:10, Israeli forces positioned at "Pesagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained a child.
2. At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned at "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a resident.
3. On April 19th 2018, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Harsha area in Al-Mazara'a Al Gharbiya village fired tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent a group of Israeli settlers from entering the village.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Faris Ali Al-Anati {15 years old}{ A resident of Al-Bireh city} during clashes in "Pesagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified residents during clashes near "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Faqu'a village then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 19:35, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 20:30.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 09:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 16:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Jayyous town and Sir village then searched residents and vehicles.
4. At 23;15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 17:30, Israeli forces raided Jayyous town and assaulted a child.

Physical Assault

At 17:30, Israeli forces assaulted the child: Iz-Al-Din Mohammad Wasfi Shamasnah {15 years old} during their raid into Jayyous.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 19:45, the Israeli military intensified their restrictions at Huwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Burin city then searched residents and vehicles.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 19:45, the Israeli Military intensified their restrictions at Za'tara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:50, Israeli forces positioned at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 12:55.
2. At 17:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlers Attacks

At 20:45, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near "Ba't Ein" settlement attacked a vehicle with 5 passengers {Several Chess Game Referees}: Hani Muhammad Helmi {A resident of Qira village in Salfit district}, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Majd {A resident of 'Azzun town in Qalqilya district}, Mahmoud Qatawi, Khaled Ezzeddin Ahmed Higari {Both are residents of Al Yamoun village in Jenin district} and Hatem Yusef Mohammad Al-Sha'er {A resident of Qalqiliya city} as they entered the road leading to the settlement entrance and as a result shattered the windshield glass before managing to flee the settler during which Israeli forces temporarily detained the 5 residents then released them after questioning at "Betar Eliyat" settlement.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Sa'ir town then searched resident and vehicles .

Assaults on Property

On April 19th 2018, the Israeli military forced several residents to halt construction on a agricultural road in Al-Abed area (Khallet Taha) located west of the town of Dura near "Negohot" settlement.

Closure of main Roads

On the morning of April 19th 2018, Israeli forces closed the east entrance of Hebron city {located near the entrance of Al-Nabi Yunis area along the main road connecting Hebron and Bethlehem} and impeded the free flow of traffic after a Israeli settlers was allegedly injured from stoning.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on April 11th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 9 nautical miles for a period of 3 months.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza , Khan Yunis and Rafah districts and as a result injured 1 resident.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

*Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Attack

1. At 07:05 on April 19th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 07:30 on April 19th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.
3. At 15:00 on April 19th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day}located in east Al-Jabaliya town and as a result injured a resident.
4. At 06:25 on April 20th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 1 unidentified resident during clashes in east Al-Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

At 14:00 on April 19th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} located in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 14:00 on April 19th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} located in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 08:15 on April 19th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards several residents located in east Abbassan town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 13:00 on April 19th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canister towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed {with the exception of the entry of several fuel trucks.

At 14:30 on April 19th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canister towards demonstrators {commemorating the 42nd anniversary of Land Day} in east Al-Nahda neighborhood located in east Rafah city.
