DAILY SITUATION REPORT

 08:00, 19th April  2021 -08:00, 20th April  2021

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 10:30 and again at 23:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Al-Issawiya, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. At 20:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned the Old City of Jerusalem detained citizen: Samer Zahir.
2. At 21:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the Bab al-Amud area in the Old City of Jerusalem detained the citizen: Omar al-Nabulsi.
3. At 23:20, the Israeli occupation forces detained 4 citizens: Yusef Al-Hazina, Nawras Abu Ghazal, Isa Muteb, and Yazan Harbawi in Al-Saadia neighborhood in the Old City of Jerusalem.
4. On the evening of 19/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city detained the citizen: Muhammad Haroun.
5. The detainee in the village of Al-Issawiya is: Abdullah Mustafa.

Temporary Detention

On 19/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem delivered a decision to prevent the sheikh: Ikrimah Sabri (preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and head of the Supreme Islamic Authority in Jerusalem) from traveling outside the country for a period of 4 months.

Attack

At 22:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned in the vicinity of Bab al-Amud in the Old City of Jerusalem, fired stun and tear gas canisters towards the citizens as they left Al-Aqsa Mosque after performing Tarawih prayers.

House Demolition

On 19/04/2021, the Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem forced the citizen: Amjad Muslim Jaabis - a resident of Jabal Al Mukaber neighborhood in Jerusalem city, to personally demolish his house (under construction), after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in case of the occupation authorities demolished for allegedly being built with out a license.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:30, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 21:30, a group of settlers attacked a number of citizens near the Hebron Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem, wounding a number of citizens - with bruises.
2. At 22:00, a group of settlers in the city of Jerusalem threatened to kill the child: Ahmed Abu Khdeir - resident of the Shuafat neighborhood of Jerusalem (after being interrogated and released due to the slapping of a settler in the light rail).

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Settlers Attacks

At 02:10, a group of settlers were present near the "Al Mahkama" checkpoint established near the settlement of "Beit El" north of the city of Al-Bireh, and threw stones at civilians' vehicles passing through the checkpoint.

TUBAS

Detention

At 11:40, the Israeli occupation forces detained the citizen: Ali Thalji Abu Ara - a resident of the town of Aqaba, while he was trying to enter to work inside the Green Line.

Settlement Activities

1. At 11:55, a group of settlers under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces razed and paved roads in the lands of the citizens in the Al-Hama area located north of the settlement outpost established on the lands of the citizens in the Khallet Hamad area in the northern Jordan Valley.
2. On 19/04/ 2021, the Israeli occupation forces began building 23 new settlement units in "Maskiyot" settlement, which is built on citizens' lands in the northern Jordan Valley.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Azzun, and arrested a citizen, and confiscated his private vehicle.
2. At 21:00, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint under the Azzun bridge (on the main road Qalqilya - Tulkarm), to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 21:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Kafr Laqif village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Detention

The detainee at a flying checkpoint located at the western entrance to the town of Azzun is: Abd al-Rahman Nizar Suleiman Oudeh al-Azazma - a resident of Azzun town.

Confiscation of Property

At 18:00, the Israeli occupation forces confiscated a private vehicle, owned by the citizen: Abd al-Rahman Nizar Suleiman Oudeh al-Azazma, while setting up a flying checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Azzun.

NABLUS

Raid

1. At 12:15, the Israeli occupation forces raided Yatma village.
2. At 01:45, the Israeli occupation forces raided Burin village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 00:55, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the city of Salfit, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 01:40.

Detention

At 01:15, the Israeli occupation forces detained 2 civilians:Mahmoud Sumait and Muhammad Khalil Dumairi - a resident of Tulkarm Camp in Tulkarm at the Zaatarah Junction checkpoint: .

Settlement Activities

At 14:10, a group of settlers under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, razed a settlement road in the citizens' lands belonging to the town of Burqin and the villages of Sirta and Haris.

JERICHO

Raid

At 11:30, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of Marj Naaja, and detained 2 citizens (brothers).

Detention

At 11:30, the Israeli occupation forces detained 2 citizens (brothers): Anis Khader Muhammad Bisharat, and his brother Aref in the village of Marj Naaja { both are residents of Tammun town in the Tubas governorate} .

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:45, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 02:00.

Raid

At 16:50,the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Tuqu ', where clashes took place with the citizens while on patrol.

Physical Assault

On 19 04. 2021, the Israeli occupation forces positioned Al-Walaja checkpoint, assaulted and severely beating the citizen: Talib Jwehan { a residents of Jerusalem city}, while he was returning to the city of Jerusalem and as a result left him hospitalized with contusions.

Attack

At 16:50, the Israeli occupation forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards citizens for alleged stoning in the town of Tuqu '

HEBRON

Detention

1. At 22:00, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar, the citizen: Nasr Hisham Al-Natsheh - a resident of Hebron city, under the pretext of trying to run over a settler.
2. At 02:30, the Israeli occupation forces positioned 2 citizens (one of them is a soldier from the National Security Forces): Al-Askari - Tamer Sami Abdullah Awaidat, and Ayyad Khalil Issa Ayyad { both are residents of Sheikh Al-Aroub village}.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• The Israeli occupation forces violated the ceasefire agreement by firing from their positions on the Green Line towards Gaza and Khan Yunis governorates.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": On 04/19/2021, it is closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Attack

At 09:00 on 19/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Gaza City.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 09:15 on 19/04/2021, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire and launched stun and tear gas canisters from their positions on the Green Line, towards a number of citizens near the border fence east of Khuza'a town, east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sufa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 19/04/2021, partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs, goods, building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 19/04/2021, is open in both directions (for the entry and departure of citizens).
