DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at Al-Zaeem checkpoint, and obstructed traffic.
2. At 23:00, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at Qalandia checkpoint, and obstructed traffic.

Deportation

At 20:00, the occupation authorities in Jerusalem imposed the deportation of the citizen: Mustafa Abu Ramz, for a week from the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as a condition for his release after they arrested him earlier.

Attack

At 18:35, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the Ras Kabsa area in Abu Dis town, on the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.

House Demolition

On 14 August 2020, the occupation authorities in the Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city forced the citizen: Mahdi Al-Abbasi to personally demolish his house, after notifying him earlier, in order to avoid paying heavy fines in case the occupation authorities carried out the demolition, under the pretext of lack of permission.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 13:00, the occupation forces stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque (after the marches launched in the courtyards of the mosque after the Friday prayer, denouncing and rejecting the normalization agreement signed between the occupation government and the UAE under American auspices), and confiscated banners bearing slogans rejecting the agreement and normalization with the occupation.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Jarir village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 13:00, a force of the occupation army raided the village of Al-Mediyah, and clashes took place with the citizens while it was on patrol, wounding 2 civilians.

Detention

On 14 August 2020, the occupation forces arrested the citizen: Diaa Meshaal Al-Barghouti - residents of the town of Kober, while he was visiting the Israeli intelligence, based on prior notification.

Attack

At 13:00, the occupying forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, during the storming of the village of Medea, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones while on the patrol, wounding 2 civilians, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Injuries

The wounded man during clashes with the occupation forces in the village of al-Madiya (their names were not known).

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the village of Tainik, to search cars and verify citizens ’identities.

Raid

At 04:00, a special force of the occupation army raided Jenin camp, and arrested a citizen.

Detention

The detainee in Jenin camp is: Islam Mahmoud Al-Jarbu`.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 23:45,Israeli forces tightened their restrictions at Tayasir checkpoint and impeded traffic

TULKAREM

Attack

At 08:25, the occupation forces, present at the gate of the Segregation Wall near the village of Faroun, fired at a number of workers while trying to enter to work inside the Green Line, wounding a citizen - and he was admitted to the government hospital in Tulkarm for treatment.

Injuries

The wounded as a result of bullets fired by the occupying forces at the gate of the separation wall near the village of Faroun is: Muhammad Samer Sharafa - residents of Beita town in the Nablus governorate.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:00 and again at 01:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village to search cars and verify citizens ’identities until 04:40.
2. At 19:35,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Qalqiliya city and Hablat town until 21:00.
3. At 02:10,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city to search cars and check the identities of citizens until 04:40.

Raid

At 18:15, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar village.

Attack

At 13:25,Israeli forces positioned near the eastern entrance (closed) in the village of Kafr Qaddum fired rubber-coated metal bullets and sound and tear gas canisters towards the protesting citizens, protesting the closure of the village entrance, on the pretext that they were throwing stones and as a result injured 4 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 4 residents {including}: Adli Ali and Mohammad Aqel during clashes in the village of Kafr Qaddum .

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Murabba 'area near the entrance to Tal village, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 01:45, an Israeli force raided the town of Beita, and placed a dirt berm on the sidewalk - to prevent the trucks from stopping at the site.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 14:40, Israeli vehicle travelling along the main road in the center of Huwara town ran over the child: Khader Abbas Khader Samreen, 15 years old - resident of Ramallah and asa s result left him hospitalised with contusions.
2. At 21:25, a group of Israeli settlers assaulted several farmers from the northern town of Asira while they were on their land on the summit of Mount Ebal, north of Nablus, and the occupation forces also intervened and fired randomly at the farmers, while they were confronting the settlers.

Attack

1. At 16:15, the occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters in the Jabal al-Qa`da area near the town of Beita at the demonstrators, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones.
2. At 21:25, the occupation forces fired randomly at the summit of Mount Ebal, north of Nablus, at a number of Palestinian farmers from the northern town of Asira, while they confronted a group of settlers who attacked them.

Injuries

The child who was injured - wounds and bruises as a result of being run over by a settler while driving his vehicle on the main street in the center of Huwara town: Khader Abbas Khader Samreen, 15 years old - resident of Ramallah.

SALFIT

Raid

At 10:30, an Israeli force stormed the town of Kafr al-Dik, took pictures of a number of old houses, and withdrew at 11:20.

Closure of main Roads

At 12:45, the occupation forces closed the iron gate established at the entrance to Haris village, in front of traffic, and reopened it at 14:00.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the Al-Nashash area junction (the southern entrance to Bethlehem), to search cars and check citizens' identities until 12:15.
2. At 15:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Tuqu '. The checkpoint was established again at 19:30 to search cars and check citizens' identities until 21:00.
3. At 15:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to the town of Beit Fajjar, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

4. At 18:40, the occupation forces set up a roadblock at the entrance to Janata town, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 20:00.
5. At 22:10, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to the town of Tuqu ', to search cars and check citizens' identities until 22:00.
6. At 23:50, the occupation forces set up a roadblock near the cemetery of the town of Al-Khader, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 00:30.

Settlers Attacks

At 19:05, a group of settlers from the "Beit Ein" settlement, which is located on the citizens' lands northwest of the town of Beit Ummar, threw stones at Palestinian vehicles passing by on the main road leading to the village of Al Jab'a.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Beit Einoun village junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 13:15, an Israeli force stormed the town of Halhoul, stormed a petrol station, and confiscated the recordings of its surveillance cameras.

Attack

At 13:40, the occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on 26. 08. 2014 The permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings and introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, and to expand the area of fishing for 6 miles with an increase of up to 12 miles with At the end of this year, the area of the "buffer security" area will be reduced from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and the prevention of assassinations, and the remaining issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.
•Since the Morning of 28. 06. 2019 The occupying forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from the oasis area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza and even to the port of Gaza by 6 nautical miles, and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah beach to 15 nautical miles.

• At 20:00 on 12. 08.2020 The Occupation Forces announced that they had reduced the fishing area, from 15 nautical miles - to 8 nautical miles, off the shores of the Gaza governorates.

• The occupying forces violated the ceasefire by firing 3 artillery shells from their positions on the Green Line in the North Gaza Governorate, and by the warships firing at the fishermen's boats at sea in the North Gaza Governorate, and by air strikes with missiles from warplanes (in 4 successive raids) in the northern governorates Gaza, Al-Wusta, and Khan Yunis, and the firing of gunboats and aerial bombardment resulted in the wounding of 5 civilians (including 2 children and two female citizens - as a result of air strikes, and a fisherman by firing from gunboats).

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez" on 14. 08. 2020 is closed (excluding the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

Attack

1. On 14/08/2020, Israeli gunboats fired rubber-coated metal bullets at the fishermen's boats while they were chasing them at sea off the coast of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia, wounding one of the fishermen.
2. On the evening of 14/08/2020, the occupation forces fired 3 artillery shells from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural land north of Beit Lahia town.

Air Strike

1. On the evening of 14/08/2020, Israeli warplanes bombed a missile targeting agricultural land in Ezbet Beit Hanoun, wounding a citizen and inflicting material damage on a number of neighboring houses.
2. On the evening of 14/08/2020, Israeli warplanes bombed a site belonging to a Palestinian armed group northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya.

Injuries

1. The wounded fisherman at sea, off the coast of Al-Waha, northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya (his name was not known).
2. The citizen who was wounded by an airstrike in Ezbet Beit Hanoun (her name was not known).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Mantar-Karni crossing: closed since 02. 03. 2011 once and for all by unilateral Israeli decision.
* Shujaiya Crossing - "Nahal Oz" fuel crossing: closed since 04. 01. 2010 by unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Air Strike

At 22:25 on 14/08/2020, Israeli warplanes bombed two missiles, targeting agricultural land near citizens' homes east of Al-Bureij camp, wounding 3 citizens (a citizen and 2 children), and they were admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Injuries

The 3 wounded (a citizen, and 2 children), as a result of an airstrike on agricultural land near citizens' homes east of Al-Bureij camp (their names were not known).

KHAN YUNIS

Air Strike

At 23:25 on 14/08/2020, Israeli warplanes bombed a number of missiles, targeting a site of a Palestinian armed group near the new port, west of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: 14/08/2020 is closed (due to the Friday holiday).
* Al-Awda crossing - Rafah: on 14 August 2020 closed.
