WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Military Checkpoints

At 19:00, Israeli forces intensified their restriction at Jaba' military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Raid

1. On the morning of August 16th 2018 and again at 02:30 on August 17th 2018, Israeli forces raided Abu Dis town, detained a resident then clashed with several residents.
2. At 08:00 on August 16th 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Shiekh Sa'ed village , stormed and searched several homes then confiscated surveillance camera recorders.

Detention

1. At 01:30, Israeli forces detained Sbeih Musbah Sabih Abu Musbah at Qalandiya Military checkpoint.
2. Israeli forces detained Ahmad Alaa Yusef Erikat in Abu Dis town.

Attack

At 02:30 on August 17th 2018, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Abu Dis town.

Deportation

On August 16th 2018, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning Ghazi Assaliya {A Security Guard} form Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for a period of 30 days.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. At 09:00, Israeli Police forces prevented Employees of the Electricity company from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound to fix a problem in the electrical network in the mosque.
2. At 09:10, Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 24:00.

Settlers Attacks

At 22:15, Israeli settlers raided Al-Taybeh town and stole several red colored bricks then withdrew at 24:00.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Jaba' town junction and clashed with several residents for alleged stoning.

Raid

1. At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Ti'inik village and clashed with several residents.
2. At dawn on August 17th 2018, Israeli forces raided Rumana village.

Attack

1. At 23:00, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near Jaba' town junction fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 01:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Ti'inik village.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:45, Israeli forces set up a flying checkpoint near Al-Far'a village then searched residents and vehicles.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 18:40, the Israeli Military intensified their restrictions at "Enav" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:40.

Raid

1. At 01:25, Israeli forces raided Far'oun village then stormed and searched a home.
2. At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Shwikiya neighborhood in Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.
2. At 22:00, Israeli forces set up 2 checkpoints at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city and Jit village junction, impeded the free flow of traffic after traffic accident involving a settler being run over during which the driver of the vehicle turned him self in to Palestinian Police Forces in Nablus city then withdrew at 23:00.

Raid

At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Saif Marwan Assi in Qalqiliya city.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

1. At 11:00, the Israeli Military intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 12:30.
2. At 22:40, Israeli forces closed Huwara military checkpoint, after a traffic accident involving a settler being accidentally run over during which the driver of the vehicle turned him self in to Palestinian Police Forces in Nablus city, and reopened it at 23:10.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 21:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sara village junction then searched residents and vehicles until 01:55.
2. At 22:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Yitshar" settlement junction located in North Huwara town, impeded the free flow of traffic after a traffic accident involving a settler being accidentally run over during which the driver of the vehicle turned him self in to Palestinian Police Forces in Nablus city, then withdrew at 01:55.

Raid

1. On August 16th 2018, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites in the village.
2. At 03:55, Israeli forces raided Balata camp in Nablus city, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:15.

Detention

1. At 11:20, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara military checkpoint detained Nasser Al-Bazrat {A resident of Nablus city}.
2. Israeli forces detained Samer Jamal Al-Qutab in Balata camp in Nablus city.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 23:00, Israeli settlers positioned along the bypass road near "Yitshar" settlement, stoned vehicles passing along the road then stormed the area between Assira Al-Qibliya and Madma village and set fire a tractor owned by Ali Issa Suliman Makhlouf {A resident Assira Al-Qibliya village} then withdrew at 01:55.
2. At dawn on August 17th 2018, Israeli settlers from "Eli" settlement stormed agricultural land in Al-Liban Al-Sharqiya village and chopped off the limbs of approximately 60 Olive tree owned by Nael Eiweis.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Ballout town then searched residents and vehicles.

JERICHO

Raid

At 07:00 on August 17th 2018, Israeli forces raided Jericho city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed the church of temptation.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Faradis village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles until 13:30.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 19:55.

Raid

At 09:15, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, stormed Sa'ed boys private school, temporarily detained 3 children then released them after taking them to at a later time after taking them to "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement.

Assault on Educational sector

At 09:15, Israeli forces stormed Sa'ed boys private school during their raid into Al-Khader town, temporarily detained 3 children then released them after taking them to at a later time after taking them to "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement.

Temporary Detention

Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 children: Hamza Salah Salah {13 years old}, Mohammad Khalid Salah Salah {15 years old} and Ibrahim Hazim Ibrahim Issa {13 years old} after storming Sa'ed boys private school during their raid into Al-Khader town then released them after taking them to at a later time after taking them to "Kafr Itsiyon" settlement.

HEBRON

House Occupation

At 15:50, Israeli forces occupied the home of Abu Mushar family located in Bab Al-Zawiya area in Hebron city then converted its roof top onto a Military post.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip .

• Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Rafah district.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

At 06:30, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town, detained 4 fishermen and confiscated their fishing boat.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 fishermen: Tawfiq Sa'id Ashour Sultan, Rafat Mohammad Ali Yusef Al-Sultan, Mohammad Ahmad Ziyad and Tamer Mohammad Ahmad Ziyad after confiscating their fishing boat off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.

Confiscation of Property

On the morning of August 16th 2018, Israeli forces confiscated a fishing boats after detaining 4 fishermen off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Since August 15th 2018 Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the entry and exit of residents and for the entry of emergency humanitarian and medical supplies.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Since August 15th 2018 Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open in both directions.

Attack

At 12:00 on August 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Rafah city.
