WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Hizma town and Al-Khan Al-Ahmar area then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlement Activities

The Israeli occupation authorities approved plans at various stages to build more than 1,000 settlement units (370 settlement units in the Adam settlement in Jerusalem district and 55 settlement units in the Beit El settlement in Ramallah district) , 200 settlement units in " Ma'ale Efraim" settlement located in Jericho district, 30 settlement units in " Otniel" in Hebron, in addition to hundreds of units in the settlements of " Alfei Menashe" in Qalqilya , and "Beit Arye" in Ramallah district), within the territories occupied in 1967.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Mughier village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 03:00 on August 23rd 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Mughier village, detained a resident and summoned the child :Mohammad Kathim Al-Haj Mohammad {14 years old} to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Shadi Yahya Abu Na'im in Al-Mughier village.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ajja village then searched residents and vehicles until 00:40.

TUBAS

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Attouf village then searched residents and vehicles until 20:30.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

At 20:15, the Israeli Military intensified their restrictions at "Enav" checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 21:45.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 08:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Raid

At 17:10, Israeli forces raided Madma village and clashed with several residents and as a result injured a resident.

Attack

At 17:10, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Madma village as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Imad Ibrahim Sa'adat Ziyadat during clashes in Madma village.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 16:55, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Khilat Rajih area located near Rujieb village and installed a tent under the protection of the Israeli military.
2. At 05:00 on August 23rd 2018, Israeli forces from "Yitshar" settlement stormed Orif village and smashed the windows and slashed the tires of 3 vehicles owned by Ziyad Abdel-Azziz Shihadeh, Mahmoud Mahfouth Shihadeh and Bakr Nabil Shihadeh.

SALFIT

Raid

At 20:15, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik town , stormed and searched 3 homes then withdrew at 00:30.

Settlers Attacks

At 01:55, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Za'tara junction checkpoint assaulted 2 residents: Suliman Idris Sabri Al-Qani and Yahya Na'im Sabri Al-Qani {both are residents of Kafr Qalil village in Nablus city} leaving them hospitalized with contusions.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 19:45.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Wadi Al-Sharq area {located near Sa'ir town} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Halhul town then searched residents and vehicles.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip .

• Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Khan Yunis district.
•Israeli forces broke the ceasefire agreement by raiding and opening fire towards Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed {with the exception of emergency medical and humanitarian cases from the Gaza strip}.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Raid

At 08:30 on August 22nd 2018, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity in east Gaza city and leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 19:00.

Temporary Detention

At 13:00 on August 22nd 2018, Israeli forces temporarily detained 2 residents: Waleed Ameen Al-Rafi and Mohammad Ali Al-Sakni in east Gaza city as they attempted to climb the border fence into Israel then released them at 21:30.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 11:00 on August 22nd 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khuz'a town located in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is open for the entry and exit of residents and for the entry of emergency humanitarian and medical supplies.
