WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jaba' village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:30 on August 22nd 2019, Israeli forces raided Qutnat village and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At 11:00, Israeli forces detained 4 residents {including a Security guard at Al-Aqsa mosque compound and 2 women}: Bader Al-Rajabi (one of the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque), Madeleine Issa, and Shifa Abu Ghalia and Habib Abu Shousha near Bab Al-Rahma prayer area in Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
2. On the morning of August 22nd 2019, Israeli forces detained Ashraf Abu Irmala {a security guard at Al-Aqsa mosque compound} after he was summoned for questioning at an Israeli Police stat
3. Israeli forces detained Fadi Samer Musbah Tabanja in Qutnat village.

Physical Assault

At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned at Bab Al-Rahma prayer area in Al-Aqsa mosque compound assaulted Bader Al-Hashlamoun {a security guard at Al-Aqsa mosque compound} .

Attack

At 10:30, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Jabal area junction in Abu Dis town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 11:00, a group of Israeli settlers led by "Yehuda Glik" {A member of the Israeli Parliament} under the protection of Israeli Military and Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On August 22nd 2019,Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city is open to residents exiting from the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh from 10:00 until 23:00 daily, and is open for the entry of residents into the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh from 06:00 Until 22:00 daily and on Friday the checkpoint will be open from 07:00 until 23:00 and on Saturday will be open from both directions from 10:00 until 23:00.

Attack

At 10:25, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of "Ofar" settlement fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators protesting in solidarity with Palestinian detainees who are on Hunger strike and as a result injured a resident then detained him.

Israeli forces injured Zied Fawzi Sawafta {a resident of Tubas city} during clashes near the entrance of "Ofar" settlement.

At 13:00, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem camp located in Tulkarem city , clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched a vehicle maintenance Garage, detained 2 residents then withdrew at 14:30.

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Abdel Nasser Hassan Shafei, and Hassan Shehadeh Shafei in Tulkarem camp located in Tulkarem city.

Attack

At 13:00, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a vehicle maintenance Garage during their raid into in Tulkarem camp located in Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 17:35,Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

1. At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Ijinsinya and Zawata villages then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Deir Sharaf village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Tulkarem} then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 19:05, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Qibliya village until 20:50.
2. At 23:40, Israeli forces raided Osarin village.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:10,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 15:00.
2. At 15:55 and again at 20:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Jinata town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 17:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Khader town Cemetery then searched residents and vehicles until 17:55.
4. At 21:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 21:45.
5. At 21:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles until 22:15.

Raid

At 21:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town , stormed a wedding Ceremony then withdrew at 23:05.

Settlers Attacks

1. On August 21st 2019, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed agricultural land in Al-Ju'ba village and planted several trees in {Ein Al-Himam , Wadi Al-Janzir, Al-Qurnat and Abu Al-Tawim areas } which is an area which consists of ​​thousands of dunums and part of it is planted with fruit trees for decades on an area's approximately 300 meters from the nearest house in the village.
2. At 17:50, an Israeli settler vehicle travelling along the main road near the entrance of Jub'a village ran over the child" Jana Muneer Abu Lihat {6 years old} and as a result left her hospitalized with contusions.

Injuries

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

At 09:00 on August 22nd 2019,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

At 22:40 on August 22nd 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards Palestinian Gunmen near the border fence in east Gaza city and as a result injured a gunman.

Israeli forces injured a unidentified Palestinian gunmen after opening fire towards him near the border fence in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Raid

At 09:00 on August 22nd 2019,,Israeli forces escorting military bulldozers stormed 50 m into the vicinity of east Al-Buriej camp and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 12:00.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the entry and exit of travelers.

* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
