DAILY SITUATION REPORT

 08:00,14th December 2020 -08:00, 15th December  2020

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At 19:30, the occupation forces raided the village of Al-Issawiya, where clashes took place with the citizens as they stormed a number of houses, and detained 9 citizens (including a child and 2 brothers), and 2 citizens were also handed notifications for review by the Israeli intelligence Saleh Abu Asab and Muhammad Bakr.
2. On the morning 15/12/2020 the occupation forces raided the town of Hizma and detained a citizen (the mother of a martyr).

Detention

1. At 20:30, the occupation forces arrested the child: Omar Ahmed Khalil Mahmoud, 17 years old - resident of Al-Issawiya village, while he was leaving Al-Aqsa Mosque.
2. The 9 detainees in the village of Issawiya are: Muhammad Samer al-Jabbar, Ruhi Samer al-Jayar, Muhammad Issa Badr, Rashid Darwish, Muhammad Musa Mustafa, the child - Muhammad Hamza Ubaid, Muhammad Haitham Mustafa, Mahmoud Sultan, and Adam Fadi Mustafa.
3.The detainee in the town of Hizma is: Najla Kanaan (mother of the martyr - Muhammad Fathi Kanaan).

Attack

At 19:30, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during their raid into the village of Al-Issawiya, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones as they stormed a number of houses.

Physical Assault

On 14/12/2020, the occupying forces attacked the occupying forces in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem, against the head of Al-Aqsa Mosque guards and a number of guards who prevented extremist settlers from entering the menorah and performing "Talmudic" rituals in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

House Demolition

On 12/14/2020, the occupation forces dismantled the Bedouin community of Za'atarah, east of the town of Al-Zaim, two (Al-Barakas) used for housing, each estimated at 45 square meters, owned by the two brothers: Murad and Amran Muhammad Za'atarah, and they seized their equipment, under the pretext of not being licensed.

Settlement Activities

At 08:00, the Israeli occupation forces levelled the area near the entrance to the Yusufiya cemetery in the Old City of Jerusalem, razed a week after the stairs and walls of the Yusufiya cemetery located near Bab al-Asbat (one of the doors leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque) were demolished, as part of the implementation of the "path of the biblical garden" inside The cemetery.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:00, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 22:55, Israeli forces raided the city of Al-Bireh, where clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a house, which left 2 civilians - suffocated due to tear gas inhalation, and detained a citizen.
2. At 03:25, Israeli forces raided Bir Zeit town, stormed and searched a house, and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The detention in Al-Bireh is: Jihad Al-Nahas.
2. The detainee in Bir Zeit is: Ibrahim Shamasneh.

Attack

At 03:25, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, as they stormed and searched a house during their raid into the city of Al-Bireh which left 2 civilians - suffocated due to tear gas inhalation.

TUBAS

Temporary Detention

At 14:15, the occupying forces positioned in the Umm al-Qaba area in the northern Jordan Valley detained the head of the council of the village of al-Malih, the Bedouin mudarib and 3 farmers, while they were working on cultivating their agricultural lands. They also seized a private vehicle and an agricultural tractor belonging to the council, and released them later while keeping the vehicle and the agricultural tractor.

Confiscation of Property

At 14:15, the occupying forces detained a private vehicle belonging to the citizen: Mahdi Daraghmeh (head of the council of the village of Al-Maleh and Bedouin Mudarib) in the Umm Al-Qaba area in the northern Jordan Valley, and an agricultural tractor belonging to the council.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

1. At 10:50, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at "Ainaf" checkpoint, and blocked traffic until 13:20.
2. At 19:05, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at Shoufah checkpoint, and blocked traffic until 19:50.

Detention

On 12/14/2020, the occupation forces detained the citizen: Alaa Abdel Nasser Jamil Abu Shanab -a resident of Tulkarm.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:20 and again at 19:20, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint in the Al-Murabaa area near the entrance to the village of Tal to search cars and check citizens' identities.
1. At 15:10, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Beita town junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided the city of Nablus, and clashes took place with citizens as they stormed and searched of a number of homes, wounding a citizen, and withdrew at 03:20.
2. At dawn on 15/12/2020, Israeli forces raided the village of Iraq Burin then stormed and searched a home.

Attack

At 01:00, the occupying forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the citizens, during the storming of Nablus, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones, while they were raiding a number of houses, wounding a citizen.

Injuries

The wounded man during clashes with the occupation forces in Nablus is: Qusay Omar Muhammad Hajjar.

Settlers Attacks

At 13:10, a group of settlers entered the lands of citizens in the Burnat area, southeast of Asira al-Shamaliyah, and carried out survey work in the vicinity of the area.

SALFIT

Military Checkpoints

At 14:30, the occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Zaatarah Junction Checkpoint, and obstructed traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Deir Ballut, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 20:25, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the town of Kafeel Haris, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

At 01:40, Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, and patrolled until 04:00.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:25 and again at 18:35, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho to search cars and check citizens' identities until 19:50.

Raid

At 09:35, Israeli forces raided the city of Jericho while escorting a group of settlers who stormed the Mount on temptation synagogue and the Tal Al-Sultan area in the city, and as a result clashes took place with the citizens, and withdrew at 13:05.

Attack

At 09:35, the occupying forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during their raid into Jericho city, on the pretext that they had been thrown with stones while accompanying a group of settlers who the Mount on temptation synagogue and the Tal Sultan area in the city.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:35, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the western entrance to the town of Tuqu ', to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 13:15.
2. At 11:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Al-Fardis village roundabout, to search cars and verify citizens ’identities until 12:00.
3. At 15:35, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint near the Al-Nashash area junction (the southern entrance to Bethlehem), to search cars and check citizens' identities until 17:10.
4. At 15:40, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Tuqu 'town, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Raid

1. At 05:40, Israeli forces raided Aida camp in Bethlehem, and detained 2 citizens.
2. At 07:05, Israeli forces raided Beit Sahour, stormed and searched a house.

Detention

The two detainees in Aida camp in Bethlehem are: Montaser Riyad Abu Sorour and Hamza Abdel Aziz Abu Sorour.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:10, the Israeli occupation forces set up 3 checkpoints at the entrance to the town of Beit Ummar and at the Al-Kushouk intersections east of Hebron and the village of Zif, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 22:50, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Halhoul town bridge, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 00:15.

Raid

1. At 23:10, Israeli forces raided the town of Idna and Yatta, and conducted a patrol.
2. At 07:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Arroub camp, stormed and searched a number of homes, and detained 2 citizens.

Detention

1. At 17:05, the Occupation Police detained the citizen (elderly): Wadha Khalil al-Najjar, 65, (sister of the prisoner: Bakr al-Najjar - sentenced to 7 life sentences), from her home in the al-Musafir area, east of Yatta.
2. The two detainees in Al-Aroub camp are: Muhammad Jaber Abu Sell and Rabah Bilal Fadilat.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. Other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within a month of the ceasefire.

• On the morning of June 28, 2019, the occupation forces allowed the expansion of the fishing distance from opposite the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles.
• On 01/09/2020, the occupation forces re-expanded the fishing distance from the front of the Al-Waha area northwest of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza governorate and up to the Gaza port by a distance of 6 nautical miles, and from opposite the Gaza port to the south of the coast of Rafah to 15 nautical miles. After it imposed on 08/16/2020 a complete closure on the maritime domain in front of the fishermen's boats in front of the Gaza Strip.
• The occupation forces violated the ceasefire by firing an artillery shell from their positions on the Green Line in the Central Governorate.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanoun Crossing - "Erez": 12/14/2020, closed (except for the passage of emergency humanitarian cases).

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar-Karni crossing: closed since 02/03/2011, permanently, and by unilateral Israeli decision.
* The Shejaiya Crossing - “Nahal Oz” for fuel: closed since 04. 01. 2010 by an Israeli unilateral decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 22:00 on 12/14/2020, the occupation forces fired an artillery shell from their positions on the Green Line, hitting an (abandoned) house northeast of Al-Bureij camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser Arafat International Airport: closed.
* Sofa Crossing: closed.
* Kerem Shalom Crossing - “Kerem Shalom”: on 14/12/2020, partially open (for the entry of foodstuffs, goods and building materials, and limited quantities of fuel).
* Al-Awda- Rafah crossing: on 14/12/2020 is closed.
