Demonstrations

• On December 16th 2017,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Kasarat road near Qalandiya camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

1. On December 16th 2017, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Jaradat {a journalist} in Jerusalem city.
2. On the evening of December 16th 2017, Israeli forces detained 6 residents: Sultan Ashour 16 years, Mahmoud Taha 15 years, Mohammed Bilal Hamada 15 years, Mahmoud Adnan Siam 16 years, Musa Shaalan and Mustafa Qasim Abu Mayala in Jerusalem city.
3. At 16:30, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Siyam {A journalist} at Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city.

Deportation

At 21:10, Israeli courts in Jerusalem city issued ,Awad Salama, a deportation order preventing him from entering Jerusalem city for a period of 14 days as condition for his release after he was arrested earlier.

Attack

1. At 12:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Anata town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2.At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned at Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 journalist.
3. At 20:30, Israeli forces positioned near Ras Kabsah area in Al-Eizariya town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 22:30, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Maysa Abu Ghazalah {A journalist} and Mohammad Ayyad {A journalist} during clashes Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city.

Physical Assault

1. At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned near Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city assaulted Najib Al-Razim {A journalist}.
2. On the evening of December 16th 2017, Israeli forces assaulted 5 residents: Bashar al-Khatib, Anan Ghaith, Ashraf al-Salaymeh, Nasser Ajaj and Su'ad Abu-Rukim as they stormed and searched a coffee shop at Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city.

Assaults on Property

At 15:30, The Israeli Military forces several merchants to close down their shops at Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city.

Closure of main Roads

At 14:00, Israeli forces closed Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city with steel checkpoints thus preventing residents from reaching the area to demonstrate against the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Silwad town and Ein Yabrud village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 18:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along Al-Taybeh town junction {along Al-Murajat road -the main road connecting Ramallah and Jericho districts}then searched residents and vehicles until 20:00.
4. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles.
5. At 07:30 on December 17th 2017, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Silwad town and detained a resident.

Raid

At 05:25, Israeli forces raided Kafr Malik village and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Yusef Al-Shayib and Mohammad Mustafa Bajis in Kafr Malik village.
2. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at the entrance of Silwad town detained Tamer Musa Hamad.

Attack

1. At 13:45, Israeli forces positioned at "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 13:45, Israeli forces positioned at "Pesagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 15:35, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning then temporarily detained a child and released him at a later time .
4. At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
5. At 21:15, Israeli forces positioned near Ras Kar Kar village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Temporary Detention

Israeli forces temporally detained the child Adam Ahmad Masarwa {6 years old} during clashes near Al-Jalazun camp then released him at a later time.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint between Ya'bad town and Kafrit village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 22:20, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town, clashed with several residents and as a result left 3 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation then with drew at 22:50.
2. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya town , stormed and searched the family home of Mohammad Riyad Mohammad Zakarnah {who was detained by Israeli forces} and confiscated 1800 JD then withdrew at 04:15.
3. At dawn on December 17th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Arqa village, stormed and searched the home of Nihad Raed Mohammad Salem Waqad {who was killed by Israeli forces} and confiscated 4500 NIS and his personal vehicle.

Attack

At 22:20,Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left 3 residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Confiscation of Property

1. At 03:00, Israeli forces confiscated 1800 JD as they stormed and searched the family home of Mohammad Riyad Mohammad Zakarnah {who was detained by Israeli forces} during their raid into Qabatiya town.
2. At dawn on December 17th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated 4500 NIS and a personal vehicle as they stormed and searched the family home of Nihad Raed Mohammad Salem Waqad {who was killed by Israeli forces} during their raid into Al-Arqa village.

TUBAS

Detention

On the morning of December 16th 2017, Israeli forces detained the child Omran Nidal Ali Daraghma {15 years old}{A resident of Tubas city}.

Raid

At 00:55, Israeli forces raided Quffin town.

Attack

At 16:30,Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate in Zieta town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning, temporally detained a child then released him at 20:35.

Temporary Detention

Israeli forces temporarily detained the child Mohammad Ziyad Taye' {15 years old} during clashes at the wall gate in Zieta town then released him at 20:35.

QALQILIYA

Attack

1. At 15:50, Israeli forces positioned near the east entrance of Qalqiliya city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:55, Israeli forces positioned near the east entrance of Kafr Qaddum village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators for alleged stoning.
3. At 16:40, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Al-Naqar neighborhood in Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators for alleged stoning.
4. At 16:50, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators for alleged stoning.
5. At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Azzun town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Raid

At 04:55, Israeli forces raided Einbus village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Mashat village then searched residents and vehicles until 19:40.

At 15:40, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Salfit city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along road {90} in east Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 15:30.

Detention

At 23:20, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Hamra Military checkpoint detained Hassan Faris Ali Massa'id Daraghma {A resident of Tubas city}.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Jallah city then searched residents and vehicles until 16:00.
2.At 17:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Al-Khader town then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 18:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 20:00.
4. At 18:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Marah Rabah city then searched residents and vehicles until 20:00.
5. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Jinata town then searched residents and vehicles until 19:15.
6. At 21:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the south entrance of Al-Khader town then searched residents and vehicles until 21:25.

Raid

1. At 01:10 on December 16th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Doha town and summoned Mohammad Mustafa Abdel-Rahman Al-Barmil to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.
2. At 15:35, Israeli forces raided Aayda camp in Bethlehem city and detained 2 children.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 children: Assid Mohammed Hassan Abu Sorour {14 years old} and Mohammed Nael Masalma {17 years old} during their raid into Aayda camp in Bethlehem city.

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned at Billal Bin Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned at Ayada camp in Bethlehem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Khader town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Temporary Detention

At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned at Container Military checkpoint temporarily detained Yusef Ghanam Yusef Kahlil {A resident of Bethlehem city} then released him at a later time.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Al-Asssal village, clashed with several residents, temporally detained Mohammad Abdel-Latif Harbiyat {A National Security Force Officer} and released him at a later time then withdrew at 15:30.
2. At 23:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fah's area located in south Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles until 00:40.

Raid

1. At 23:20, Israeli forces raided Deir Al-Assal village, detained a child then withdrew at 00:30.
2. At 23:50, Israeli forces raided Al-Salhalt area in Yatta town.
3. At 23:50, Israeli forces raided Wadi Al-Shanjat village.

Detention

Israeli forces detained the child: Sami Yusef Shawamra {15 years old} in Deir Al-Assal village.

Temporary Detention

At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the entrance of Deir Al-Assal village temporally detained Mohammad Abdel-Latif Harbiyat {A National Security Force Officer} then released him at a later time.

Attack

1. At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near the entrance of Deir Al-Asal village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

At 22:40, Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed Khirbeit Mas and Khirbeit Tabqiya area's in Halhul town then performed Talmudic rituals.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza, Central Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts and as a result injured 5 residents.
•Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Attack

At 07:10 on December 16th 2017,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 13:00 on December 16th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city and as a result injured 4 residents and left several other residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation..

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 4 unidentified residents as they opened fire towards then during demonstrations near in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 12:40 on December 16th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp and as a result injured 1 resident and left several other residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident as they opened fire towards him during demonstrations in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 12:40 on December 16th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in Al-Farahin area located in east Abbassan Al-Kabira town.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is closed.

Attack

At 13:00 on December 16th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Rafah city.
