Military Checkpoints

On the evening of December 16th 2018, Israeli forces closed Qalandiya military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic after a stoning incident.

Raid

On the evening of December 16th 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and clashed with several residents.

Detention

1. On December 16th 2018, Israeli forces detained Jihad Ghazawi as he was exiting Al-Aqsa Mosque in the old city of Jerusalem.
2. On the evening of December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya Military checkpoint detained Issam Al-Halabi.
3. On the evening December 16th 2018, Israeli forces detained 2 children: Hamza Zuhier Al-Rajabi and Mohammad Fayez Al-Rajabi in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
4. At dawn on December 17th 2018, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mustafa Abu Sineienah and Tawfiq Najib in Jerusalem city.

Attack

1. On the evening of December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya Military checkpoint fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. On the evening of December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and a as result injured 2 residents.
3. On the evening of December 16th 2018,Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.
4. At 19:30, Israeli forces positioned in Wadi Al-Juz neighborhood fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 children: Yusef Al-Sha'er and Islam Al-Rajabi during clashes in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city .

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 15:30, a group of Israeli settlers positioned in Bab Al-Khalil area in the old city of Jerusalem attacked a vehicle and broke its windshield.
2. On the afternoon of December 16th 2018, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Bab Al-Amoud area in Jerusalem city, held signs inciting for violence and for the assassination of Mahmoud Abbas { The President of the State of Palestine} and also chanted racist slogans and called for killing of Arabs and the destruction of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in-order to replace it with the Jewish Temple.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since 11:35 on December 13th 2018, Israeli forces continued its closure of "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city {for the 4th consecutive day} and prevented residents and vehicles from crossing the checkpoint in both directions.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 07:45 on December 16th 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 13:55.
2. At 08:05, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Dibwan village then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 12:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village round about then searched residents and vehicles until 12:55.
4. At 19:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the west entrance of Silwad town and opened fire towards a vehicle and injured the driver.

Raid

1. At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Deir Abu Mash'al village.
2. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town and detained 3 residents.
3. At 03:30, Israeli forces raided Abboud town and detained a resident.
4. At 04:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and as a result left a woman suffocated from tear gas inhalation and detained 7 residents {including 3 children}.
5. At 04:20, Israeli forces raided Ramallah city.

Detention

1. At 11:50, Israeli forces detained Baha Khalid Shija'iya {A resident of Deir Ijrier village}.
2. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned at "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city detained the child: Moayad Ziyad Qindah {17 years old} {a resident of Abu Shikhiudum village} after his motorcycle was rammed by an Israeli Military Jeep.
3. At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned along the main road leading to Al-Jalazoun camp near "Beit El" settlement detained Mohammad Ziyad Abu Awwad {17 years old}{A resident of Bir Zeit town}.
4. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ahmed Barghouthi, Ameed Munther Turkesh, and Abdullah Rimawi in Beituniya town.
5. Israeli forces detained Ala Al-Dahnoun in Abboud town.
6. Israeli forces detained 7 residents: Jibril Nasr al-Zubaidi {17 years old}, Abed Mohammed {16 years old}, Riyad Salah 'Alian {16 years old}, Yusuf Guanameh, Rifai Sami Al-Dweik, Majid Riyad Al-Safi and Basil Nasr Al-Zubaidi.in Al-Jalazoun camp.

Attack

1. At 14:20, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 19:55, Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint located at the entrance of Silwad town opened fire towards a vehicle and as a result injured the driver.
3. At 04:10, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Al-Jalazoun camp and as a result left a woman suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

1. At 15:30, Israeli forces injured 2 residents {including}: Moayad Ziyad Qindah {17 years old} {a resident of Abu Shikhiudum village} after deliberately ramming their military vehicle into a motorcycle near "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.
2. Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint located at the entrance of Silwad town injured Musa Abdel-Azziz Hamad after opening fire towards his vehicle.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 11:20, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Turmus'aya town and uprooted several Olive trees owned by Salim Abu Abdallah.
2. At 11:55, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village and damaged several Green Houses and stole water-pipe hoses owned by Kamal Abdel-Hafith Shartih.
3. At 14:45, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Beitin town and stoned several homes.
4. At 16:20, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Mughier village and chopped off the limbs of approximately 100 Olive trees owned by Jameel Al-Na'san and Rateb Al-Na'san.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 10:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at "Tayassir" military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Assaults on Property

At 12:00 on December 16th 2018, the Israeli military removed 14 families from their homes in Khiriet Ibziq village located in the North Jordan valley from 12:00 on December 16th 2018 until 06:00 December 17th 2018 for alleged military training in the area.

TULKAREM

Raid

1. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Shewika neighborhood in Tulkarem city, clashed with several residents as they prepared to demolish the interior walls located the first floor of a 3 floor home owned by Ashraf Na'awla {who was killed by Israeli forces} and as a result injured a resident and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 01:55, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and detained a resident after storming his home.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ahmad Mohammad Bashir Al-Jayousi in Tulkarem city.

Attack

1. At 15:55, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate located in west Shweikiya neighborhood fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 01:00, Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they surrounded and demolished the interior walls located the first floor of a 3 floor home owned by Ashraf Na'awla {who was killed by Israeli forces} during their raid into Shewika neighborhood in Tulkarem city and as a result injured a resident and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Sayef Abdel-Khaliq Abu Sa'da during clashes in Shewika neighborhood in Tulkarem city.

House Demolition

At 01:00, Israeli forces demolished the interior walls located the first floor of a 3 floor home owned by Ashraf Na'awla {who was killed by Israeli forces} during their raid into Shewika neighborhood in Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Hablat town and Wadi Al-Rasha village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Izbit Al-Tabib village and Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 16:15, Israeli forces raided Wadi Al-Rasha village and detained 3 residents {including a child}.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ibrahim Ziad Mohammed Abu Shkheidm {13 years old}, Ziad Salim Mohammedin, and Dahi Mohammed Abu Shkaidm during their raid into Wadi Al-Rasha village.

Attack

At 14:30, Israeli forces positioned at the wall gate near Al-Naqqar neighborhood in Qalqiliya city fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result critically injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces critically injured Sa'ed Ibrahim Nofal during clashes near the wall gate near Al-Naqqar neighborhood in Qalqiliya city.

Settlers Attacks

At 14:40, a group of Israeli settlers stormed the area near the entrance of Kafr Laqif village and stoned residents and vehicles.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Shavie Shamron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village until 05:40.

Detention

At 18:25, Israeli forces positioned at Huwara military checkpoint detained Yusef Salem Hashash {A resident of Balata camp in Nablus city}.

On December 16th 2018, Israeli forces detained Zahra Mustafa Ishtaya {80 years old}{A resident of Tel village} as she was visiting her son in Israeli Prison.

At 12:25, Israeli forces positioned near the bypass road near Burin village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Settlers Attacks

1. At 12:55, Israeli settlers positioned near the entrance of "Yitshar" settlement stoned residents and vehicles passing near the area.
2. At 12:55, Israeli settlers opened fire towards Al-Libban Al-Sharqiya village then withdrew under the protection of the Israeli military.
3. At 20:30, Israeli settlers positioned near "Shavie Shamron" settlement junction stoned residents and vehicles passing near the area.
4. At 22:15,Israeli settlers positioned near "Yitshar" settlement junction stoned residents and vehicles passing near the area.

SALFIT

1. At 08:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Deir Istiya town then searched residents and vehicles until 10:30.
2. At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 12:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Kafil Harris town then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.

1. At 02:20, Israeli forces raided Harris village and detained a child.
2. At 03:40, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya town and detained a resident.

1. Israeli forces detained Sa'ed Najeh Abdel-Rahim Souf {17 years old} in Harris village.
2. Israeli forces detained Daoud Radwan Abu Ali in Deir Istiya town.

On December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned at Allenby bridge detained Ghayth Nasser Ghayth {A resident of Jerusalem city} as he was returning from Jordan.

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Aqbat Hasnat area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 13:30, Israeli forces raided Nihalin village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 14:00.
2. At 20:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town, clashed with several residents and detained a child.
3. At 04:15, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town, detained 2 residents {including a child} then withdrew at 05:20,

1. Israeli forces detained Abdel-Rahman Yassin Da'dou' {17 years old} in Al-Khader town.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ehab Khalid Sabah {17 years old} and Sa'ed Hassan Mohammad Al-Ammour in Teqou' town.

1. At 13:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Nihalin village.

3. On December 16th 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Beit Einoun village junction and detained a resident.

Raid

1. At dawn on December 17th 2018, Israeli forces raided Yatta town then stormed and searched a home.
2. At dawn on December 17th 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya town then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint located at Beit Einoun village junction detained Hassan Khalil Shiladat {A resident of Sa'ir town}.

Attack

On the afternoon of December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned in the old city of Hebron fired stun and tear gas canisters into a school and left 35 school children suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Closure of main Roads

On the evening of December 16th 2018, Israeli forces closed the steel gate of the east entrance of Teqou' town and the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp and as a result impeded the free flow of traffic.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza and Gaza districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 07:40 on December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Beit Hanoun town.
2. At 07:40 on December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in North Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 07:30 on December 16th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Gaza city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
