DAILY SITUATION REPORT

WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Raid

At 17:30, the occupation forces raided the village of Al-Issawiya, where clashes took place with the citizens while they were on patrol.

Detention

1. At 10:30, the occupation forces positioned in the Bab al-Mughrabi area (one of the doors leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque) in the Old City of Jerusalem, the citizen: Muhammad Al-Ajlouni.
2. At 16:00, the occupation forces detained 2 citizens (brothers):Muhammad Sarhan and his brother Sultan in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem.
3. At 16:00, the occupation forces positioned near one of the doors leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem detained Qasim Derbas - a resident of Al-Issawiya village.

Attack

At 17:30, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens during their raid into the village of Al-Issawiya, under the pretext that they had been throwing stones while on patrol.

Destruction of Property

At 11:45, the occupation forces demolished livestock dens, and also demolished a car garage, under the pretext of not having a permit in the town of Al-Ram.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and conducted provocative tours in its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Al-Taybeh junction (on the Al-Maarajat road connecting the Ramallah and Jericho governorates), to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 15:00.

Raid

1. At 02:30, Israeli forces raided the city of Ramallah, where clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a home, detained a university student, and withdrew at 04:00.
2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Bir Zeit town, and patrolled until 06:40.
3. At dawn on 12/17/2020, Israeli forces raided al-Mughayir village and detained a citizen.

Detention

1. The detainee in Ramallah city is Mutassim Zalloum (university student).
2. The detainee in Al Mughayer village is Jamal Al-Hajj Muhammad.

Attack

At 02:30, the occupying forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens for alleged stoning as they stormed a house during their raid into Ramallah city.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:30, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the Araba town junction, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

TULKAREM

Military Checkpoints

1. At 16:40, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at Shoufah checkpoint, and obstructed traffic.
2. At 16:55, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at "Ainaf" checkpoint, and obstructed traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:55, the occupying forces set up a checkpoint under the Jabara village bridge, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 18:00.

Raid

At 02:30, Israeli forces raided the town of Anabta, detained a citizen, and withdrew at 07:10.

Detention

1. At 16:40, the occupation forces positioned at the Shoufah checkpoint detained Muhammad Muadh Qasim - a resident of Tulkarm.
2. The detainee in the town of Anabta is Muhannad Abdul Karim Mahmoud Abdel Dayem.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:20, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint under the Azzun bridge (on the main road to Qalqilya - Tulkarm), to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 19:35, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Nabi Elias, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
3. At 19:45, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Azzun town, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

NABLUS

Raid

On the morning of 12/16/2020, Israeli forces raided Sebastia village, escorting a group of settlers while they were visiting the archaeological area in the village.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the northern entrance to Jericho, to search cars and verify citizens' identities until 21:45.

Confiscation of Property

On 12/16/2020, the occupation forces confiscated two agricultural tractors belonging to the citizens of Zubeidat village, north of Jericho: Fadi Abdullah Zubeidat and Mansour Hassan Zubeidat.

BETHLEHEM

Raid

At 04:40, Israeli forces raided the town of Doha and the Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem, where clashes took place with citizens as they stormed a number of houses, and detained 2 residents in the camp, and withdrew at 05:30.

Detention

The two detainees in Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem are: Hussein Iyas Hussein Shaheen and Muhammad Suleiman Abdel Fattah Dereyeh.

Attack

At 04:40, the occupation forces fired sound and tear gas canisters at the citizens, during their raid into the town of Doha and Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem, under the pretext that they had been thrown with stones as they stormed a number of houses.

Settlers Attacks

On 12/16/2020, a group of settlers from the settlement outpost "Ibi Hanahl" established on the lands of Kisan village, accompanied by trained (police) dogs, a number of citizens and chased them while they were grazing their sheep, and the dogs smashed a number of sheep heads, where the residents managed to confront the settlers and forced them to leave the area.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:50, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to the town of Bani Naim, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.
2. At 09:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the southern entrance to Hebron, to search cars and verify citizens' identities.

Settlers Attacks

1. On 12/16/2020, a group of settlers in the area of ​​al-Baqa 'adjacent to the settlement of "Kiryat Arba", east of Hebron, rebuilt an settlement room that the citizens demolished days ago, in an attempt to establish a new settlement outpost.
2. On 12/16/2020, a group of settlers entered the lands of citizens on Jabal al-Jumma in the town of Halhul, and set up a number of tents on the site, in an attempt to establish a settlement outpost.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on 26/08/2014, the permanent and comprehensive ceasefire came into effect with the initiative and patronage of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, the introduction of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction requirements, and expanding the fishing area to a distance of 6 miles with the increase in distance Up to 12 miles by the end of this year, reducing the "security buffer" zone from 300 meters to 100 meters, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. At 10:00 on 12/16/2020, the occupation forces fired from their positions on the Green Line, towards agricultural lands east of Al-Bureij camp.

RAFAH
