Demonstrations

• On December 18th 2017,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 22:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Eisawiya village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 12:40, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village.

Detention

1.At 18:00, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Jaser Abu Al-Hawa in Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city after he refused to closed down his shop.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Jihad Damdoum at Ras Kabsah area in Al-Eizariya town.
3. At dawn on December 19th 2017, Israeli forces detained 2 children: Ehab Iskafi {14 years old} and Salah Abu Assab {13 years old} in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.

Temporary Detention

At 18:00, Israeli forces confined Mustafa Dudan {A University student} to his home as a term for his release from Israeli custody after he was detained at an earlier time.

Attack

1. At 12:40, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya Military checkpoint opened fired towards a woman after she allegedly attempted to stab a Israeli soldier and as a result left her hospitalized.
2. At 13:00, Israeli forces positioned at Hizma town junction fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned at Ras Kabsah area located in Al-Eizariya town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. On the evening of December 18th 2017,Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

On the evening of December 18th 2017, Israeli forces closed the main road leading to Bab Al-Abssat gate {the main gate entrance leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound} in the old city of Jerusalem and at the entrance of Jabal Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city thus impeded the free flow of traffic.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 11:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Rantis village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Raid

1. At dawn on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Jalazoun camp and detained 2 resident.
2. At dawn on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Mughier village and detained a resident.
3. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Nabi Saleh village, stormed and searched the home of Bassam Al-Tamimi, detained his daughter then confiscated several cellular telephones, computers and Digital camera's from the home.

Attack

1. At 09:30 and at 17:40, Israeli forces positioned near Deir Ijrier village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 10:30, Israeli forces positioned near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in N orth Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning then detained a child.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 resiednts: Tahreer Mohammad Arshiya and Hamad Mughmas in Al-Jalazoun camp.
2. Israeli forces detained Hamza Sa'id Abu Aliya in Al-Mughier village.
3. Israeli forces detained the child Ahmad Munthir Hafith Daraghma during clashes near "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city.
4.Israeli forces detained the child Ahed Bassam Al-Tammimi in Al-Nabi Saleh village.

Confiscation of Property

At 01:00, Israeli forces confiscated several cellular telephones, computers and Digital camera's after storming and searching the home of Bassam Al-Tamimi during their raid into Al-Nab i Saleh village.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 09:00 and again at dawn on December 18th 2017 , Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town and detained 2 residents.
2. At 20:10, Israeli forces raided Arraba town and clashed with several residents .
3. At 00:45, Israeli forces raided Al-Zababda and Maythaloun town, Abba, Jalqamous, Deir Abu Da'if, Beit Qad, Sanur and Talfit villages, detained 5 residents in Abba and Jalqamous villages then withdrew at 04:55.
4. At dawn on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces raided Sarsir village and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mahmoud Niyazi Hamdan and Hadi Mahmoud Hamdan in Ya'bad town.
2. Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Abdullah Ahmad Mohammed Qasrawi, Ali Hassan Ahmed Al-Bazour, Abdullah Ahmad Kasrawi, Maawiya Taher Al-Qurum and Ihab Arsan Al-Bazour during their raid into in Abba and Jalqamous villages.
3. Israeli forces detained Abdel-Basset Mohammad Qataqit in Saris village.

Attack

At 20:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Arraba town.

TUBAS

Raid

1.At 04:40, Israeli forces raided Tubas village until 06:50.
2. At 05:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Far'a camp and 2 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Falah Faris Sawalma and Abdel-Rahman Ibrahim Abu Shaqir in Al-Far'a camp.

Confiscation of Property

On the evening of December 18th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a tractor owned b y Khalid Bani Odeh as he was working on agricultural land near Attuf village.

TULKAREM

Attack

At 12:05, Israeli forces positioned at "Ghishouri" factories area in west Tulkarem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 13:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Kafr Thulth town until 04:15.

Detention

On December 17th 2017, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Yusef Ibrahim Salim and Ayham Yusef Ibrahim Salim after storming their home in Azzun town.

Attack

1. At 09:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:00, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Al-Naqqar neighborhood in Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified resident during clashes near the wall gate in Al-Naqqar neighborhood in Qalqiliya city.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 20:10, Israeli forces intensified their restriction at Beit Furiq Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 06:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Bithan village then searched residents and vehicles until 06:45.

Raid

1.At 10:35, Israeli forces raided Beita town until 12:45.
2. At 21:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Furiq town, clashed with several residents, injured 2 residents then withdrew at 02:15.

Attack

1. At 09:00, Israeli forces positioned near Burin village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 13:45, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Jabaliya area in Beit Furiq town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 21:45, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Hamid Mustafa Abdel-Latif Hanini and Sayef Hamdan Hussien Abu Samra during clashes in Beit Furiq town.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Bruqin town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 11:00 and again at 18:00, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Deir Istiya town then searched residents and vehicles until 19:30.

Raid

1. At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Kafr Al-Dik town until 05:25.
2. At 01:00, Israeli forces raided Salfit city and summoned Salah Yazid Al-Arid to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning then withdrew at 03:45.

Detention

At 14:40, Israeli forces positioned at a Za'tara Military checkpoint junction detained Mohammad Kamil Abdel-Karim Al-Jallad {A National Security Force Officer}{A resident of Tulkarem city}.

JERICHO

Raid

At 10:45, Israeli forces raided Jericho city as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers {who stormed a Synagogue} during which they clashed with several residents and as a result injured 15 residents and left 3 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation then withdrew at 11:35.

Attack

1. At 10:45, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers {who stormed a Synagogue} during their raid into Jericho city and as a result injured 15 residents and left 3 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Closure of main Roads

At 17:04, Israeli forces closed Al-Nashash area junction {located in south Bethlehem city} which leads to road 60 because of an alleged shooting incident towards a bus carrying Israeli settlers near Beit Ummar town in Hebron district.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Samou' town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Huwaweir area {located at the North entrance of Halhul town} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. On December 18th 2017, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 00:20, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and Yatta town.
3. At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Al-Fuwar camp then stormed and searched 2 homes.
4. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Surif town.

Attack

At 09:40, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Arrub camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Assault on Educational sector

On December 18th 2017, Israeli forces stormed the Campus of the Technical College of Palestine near the entrance of Al-Arrub camp as they dispersed a demonstration rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by storming opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza, Central Gaza and Rafah districts.
•Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

1. At 08:00 on December 18th 2017,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 18:00 on December 18th 2017,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

At 13:00 on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 08:00 on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Maghazi camp.
2. At 14:00 on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit of 720 residents{including medical patients, University students and Egyptian Passport holders}.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.

Raid

At 07:45 on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 70m into the vicinity of east Rafah city and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 09:45.

Attack

At 14:00 on December 18th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Rafah city.
