WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

On the evening of December 22nd 2019, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Ram town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 20:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 3 residents.
2. At 01:15, Israeli forces raided Hizma town and clashed with several residents.
3. At dawn on December 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp and detained a resident.

Detention

1. On the evening of December 22nd 2019, Israeli forces detained Abdel-Rahman Mahmoud {a resident of Al-Eisawiya village} in the French Hills area located in Jerusalem city.
2. At dawn on December 23rd 2019, Israeli forces detained 2 residents {including a child}: Amr Amer Abu Madi and Mohammad Salah Abu Madi {17 years old} in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
3. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Ahmad Muneer Obeid , Ahmad Maher Obied and Ameer Awad in Al-Eisawiya village.
4. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Nayef Abu Shanab in Qalandiya camp.

Deportation

On December 22nd 2019, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued orders banning Nathim Abu Ramouz {a resident of Jerusalem city} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for a period of 1 week as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.

Attack

1. At 19:30, Israeli forces positioned at Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 01:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Hizma town.

Closure of main Roads

At 13:30, Israeli forces closed the steel entrance gate in Tabalas area in Hizma town and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

1. At 08:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Police forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.
2. At 09:00, Israeli Police forces raided Bab Al-Rahma area in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

At dawn on December 23rd 2019, Israeli forces raided Ni'alin town then detained 3 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammad Salah Sarour, Hamad Ibrahim Sarour and Sadeq Yasser Sarour in Ni'lin town.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the bypass road in east Jenin city then searched residents and vehicles.

TUBAS

Confiscation of Property

At 15:35, Israeli forces confiscated a forklift owned by Yusef Foqaha in Ein Al-Bayda village located in the North Jordan valley.

Settlers Attacks

At 12:00, a Israeli settler stormed agricultural land owned by Majed Hamid Abdel-Raziq{a resident of Tubas city} located in Al-Hadadiyat area in the North Jordan valley then ploughed the land in an attempt to seize it.

TULKAREM

Raid

1. At 13:45, Israeli forces raided Ramin village.
2. At 04:55, Israeli forces raided Sayda village then stormed and searched a home.
3. At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Allar town and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Diya Adnan Nimr Taqatqa in Allar town.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Eliyas village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 14:20, Israeli forces raided Far'ata village, temporarily detained a resident then released him at a later time.

Temporary Detention

At 14:20, Israeli forces temporarily detained Mohammad Ali Shin'at during their raid into Far'ata village then released him at a later time.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at "Shavie Shamron" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles until 12:00.
2. At 19:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beita town then searched residents and vehicles.

Physical Assault

At 21:20, Ahmad Ali Qur'an {a resident of Balata camp in Nablus city} was hospitalized with contusions after he was assaulted by Israeli forces located at Za'tara military checkpoint in Salfit district.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles until 11:50.
2. At 21:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Marda village then searched residents and vehicles until 21:55.

JERICHO

Raid

At 10:05, Israeli forces raided Al-Oja village, clashed with several residents as they stormed several merchant shops then withdrew at 13:35.

Attack

At 10:05, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed several merchant shops during their raid into Al-Oja village.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:35,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 13:45.
2. At 11:50 and again at 19:50,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 22:50.
3. At 12:20,,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area {located along the main road leading to the west villages of Bethlehem district} then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.
4. At 14:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the West entrance of Tuqu' town then searched residents and vehicles until 16:45.

Raid

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town, stormed and searched a wood work shop owned by Kifah Shihada Thawabta in Beit Fajjar town.
2. At 22:35, Israeli forces raided Beit Jalla city, stormed and searched 2 homes then withdrew at 00:15.

Temporary Detention

At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Teqou' town temporarily detained the head of Teqou' town council then released him at 14:30.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 11:50,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar town then searched residents and vehicles until 13:00.
2. At 16:55,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Idhna town searched residents and vehicles then detained a resident.
3. At 02:00,Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Wadi Al-Huriya area in Hebron city then searched residents and vehicles until 03:00

Raid

At dawn on December 22nd 2019, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained 3 residents.

Detention

1.Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the entrance of Idnha town detained Shaher Zidan Tumayzi.
2.Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Nadeem Khalid Ghanimat, Uday Khalid Ghanimat and Loia Hassan Abu Saleh in Surif town.

Attack

On the evening of December 22nd 2019, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Thaer area located in Beit Ummar town and near "Karmi Tsur" settlement fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Assaults on Property

At 12:30, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military demolished several merchant shops and leveled plots of land in Al-Hasbat area in the old city of Hebron.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 12:50, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of the Israeli Military stormed the old city of Hebron and placed candlesticks on the rooftop of Al-Ibrahimi mosque.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

•Israeli forces broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Central Gaza and Khan Yunis districts.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

1. At 08:30 on December 22nd 2019,,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 11:10 on December 22nd 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in North Beit Lahiya town.
3.At 18:00 on December 22nd 2019,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town and as a result damaged the fishing boat.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 20:35 on December 22nd 2019,Israeli forces opened fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 12:20 on December 22nd 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Qarara town located in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 00:30 on December 23rd 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.
3. At 01:00 on December 23rd 2019,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
