Demonstrations

• On December 23rd 2017,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 23:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Bi'r Ayoub area in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city then searched residents for alleged stoning.

Raid

At 00:35, Israeli forces raided Hizma town and clashed with several residents.

Detention

1. At 19:45, Israeli forces positioned at a gate entrance leading to Al-Aqsa mosque compound in the old city of Jerusalem detained the child Jibril Billah {17 years old}.
2. At 21:30, Israeli forces detained the child Mohammad Waleed Abu Khdeir {13 years old} {A resident of Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
3. At 22:55, Israeli forces detained 4 residents {including 2 children}: Hisham Mohammed Al-Bashiti {17 years old}, Mahmoud Nasser Abu Sabeeh {13 years old}, Nabil Sidr, and Yazen Hashima in the old city of Jerusalem.

Deportation

On the evening of December 23rd 2017,Israeli authorities in Jerusalem city issued deportation orders for 2 residents {including a Photo Journalist}: Amin Siam and Rami Obeidat banning them from entering the old city of Jerusalem for a period of 20 days as well as fining them 5000 NIS as condition for their release after they were arrested earlier.

Attack

1. At 19:45, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Tur neighborhood fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 00:35, Israeli force fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Hizma town.

House Demolition

On December 23rd 2017, Israeli forces stormed Silwan neighborhood forced Omar Abu Rajab to demolish his 45 square meter home for allegedly being built with out a licence and made him pay a financial penalty as well as the cost of demolition.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ein Sinya village roundabout then searched residents and vehicles until 14:30.
2. At 18:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge and detained a resident.
3. At 18:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Detention

Israeli forces positioned at a checkpoint near Atarah town bridge detained Mujahid Abdel-Qadder Abdel-Fattah {A resident of Kafr Ein village}.

Attack

At 13:20,Israeli forces positioned at "Al-Mahkama" Military checkpoint located near "Bet El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Ya'bad town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 18:25, Israeli forces raided Ya'bad town, stormed and searched a home, assaulted 3 residents and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.

Physical Assault

At 18:25, Israeli forces assaulted 3 residents {including a child}: Yazen Ahmed Bajawi {15 years old}, Majd Ahmed Bajawi and Ali Abdul Rahman Bajawi after storming and searching a home during their raid into Ya'bad town and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 17:10, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Ein Al-Bayda village {which is located in the North Jordan valley} then searched residents and vehicles.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

1. At 16:00, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Munthar area located near Jayyous town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned near the North entrance of Qalqiliya city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 21:30, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Hajja village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

1. At 19:40, Israeli forces intensified their restriction at Beit Furiq Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 21:25.
2. At 20:50, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Huwara military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Muraba'a area located near Tel village then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 18:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Deir Sharaf village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
3. At 19:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in the area between Nablus city and Assira Al-Shamaliya town then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

On December 22nd 2017, Israeli forces detained Abdel-Hadi Kan'an {A resident of Beit Dajjan village}.

Settlers Attacks

At 15:35, a group of Israeli settlers stormed agricultural land in Al-Qa'adat area located in Madma village and chopped off the limbs of 30 Olive trees during which Israeli forces fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent the settler attack and as a result injured 4 residents.

Attack

At 15:35, Israeli forces positioned in Al-Qa'adat area located in Madma village fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents who attempted to prevent Israeli settlers from damaging Olive trees and as a result injured 4 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 4 residents: Saed Shaher Ziadeh, Akram Jibril Ziadeh, Mohammed Amer Abdul Latif Nassar and Saeed Salah Al Qatt during clashed in Al-Qa'adat area located in Madma village .

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Salfit city then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 12:30, Israeli forces detained Husni Yousef Mohammed Sultan {54 years old}, Yusuf Husni Yousef Mohammed Sultan {16 years old}, and Habib Husni Yousef Mohammed Sultan {21 years old}, while trying to prevent the Israeli forces from arresting his son, Yusuf for allegdly attempting damage a barbed wire fence in Harris village.

Temporary Detention

At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned near Harris village temporarily detained Munwa Sultan and Aladeen Husni Sultan as they attempted to prevent Israeli forces from detaining Yusef Sultan {for allegdly attempting damage a barbed wire fence in Harris village} and fined them 1700 NIS. then released them at 19:55.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint along the main road in Al-Oja village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 21:00, Israeli forces raided Fasayil village, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 23:45.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 15:45, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Ush Al-Ghurab area located in east Beit Sahour city then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar then searched residents and vehicles until 22:15.

Attack

At 13:05, Israeli forces positioned at the North entrance of Bethlehem city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 residents: Yusuf Hussein al-Sharqawi, and Hisham Kamel Abu Shakra during clashes near the north entrance of Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Military Checkpoints

At 12:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Abu Al-Rish Military checkpoint located in the old city of Hebron and impeded the free flow of traffic until 13:20.

Flying Checkpoints

At 20:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Arub camp then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Raid

At dawn on December 24th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Shiyoukh town, stormed and searched the home of Mohammad Abdel-Qadder Obieda then confiscated his vehicle.

Detention

At 20:15 on December 23rd 2017, Israeli forces detained Ghassan Ahmad Al-Qawasmi after confiscating his vehicle during their raid into Hebron city.

Confiscation of Property

1. At 20:15 on December 23rd 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Ghassan Ahmad Al-Qawasmi after detaining him during their raid into Hebron city.
2. At dawn on December 24th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a vehicle owned by Mahmoud Abdel-Qadder Ayyadat after storming and searching his home during their raid into Al-Shiyoukh town.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza and and Khan Yunis districts and as a result injured 2 residents

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is closed.

Attack

At 15:00 in December 23rd 2017, fire Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire and launched stun and tear gas canister towards several demonstrators near Jabaliya town and as a result injured 2 residents.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 unidentified resident as they opened fire towards then during demonstrations near Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

1.At 14:30 on December 23rd 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Shaja'ia neighborhood in east Gaza city.
2. At 1755 on December 23rd 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Jahr Al-Dik in east Gaza city.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 17:50 on December 23rd 2017,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire,towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.

RAFAH

* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
