WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

• On December 24th 2017,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Raid

1. At dawn on December 24th 2017, Israeli forces raided Biddu town and detained a resident.
2. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 3 residents.

Detention

1. At 18:00, Israeli forces detained Midhat Obied {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village}.
2. At 18:30, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Ahmad Hassan Abu Khdier and Mohammad Hassan Abu Khdier {A resident of Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
3. Israeli forces detained Yusef Azziz Ibrahim Abu Eid in Biddu town.
4. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Yusef Issa, Ali Aysha Mustafa and Husam Samih Aliyan in Al-Eisawiya village.

Attack

At 21:00, Israeli forces positioned in Bab Al-Majlis area in the old city of Jerusalem fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

On December 24th 2017, Israeli forces closed "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near Bet El settlement in North Al-Bireh city thus impeding the free flow of traffic.

Raid

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town, temporarily detained a child and released him at a later time then withdrew at 12:10.
2. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Nabi Saleh village and detained 2 residents.

Attack

1. At 09:40, Israeli forces positioned in Beituniya town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 09:40, Israeli forces positioned at "Pesagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning then detained a child.
3. At 09:45, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mu'tasim Samih Al-Tamimi and Iz Al-Din Abdel-Hafith Al-Tamimi in Al-Nabi Saleh village.
2. Israeli forces positioned at "Pesagot" settlement located in east Al-Bireh city detained Mohammad Shahit {16 years old}.

Temporary Detention

At 10:00, Israeli forces temporarily detained the child Arafat Nader Arafat {15 years old} during their raid into Beituniya town then released him at a later time.

Injuries

At 21:45,Israeli forces in Al-Bireh city assaulted and beat 2 employees of Al-Bireh Municipality: Issa Shalabi {A resident of Al-Amari camp} and Ahmad Hussien Ziyad {A resident of Khirbithat Al-Misbah} as they were transferring solid waste to a dumping site and as a result;t left them hospitalized with fractures and contusions.

Closure of main Roads

On December 24th 2017, Israeli forces closed the main road leading to Al-Jalazoun camp near "Bet El" settlement and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Settlers Attacks

At 22:20,a Israeli settler positioned at "Atarot" settlement opened fire towards the vehicle of Abdel-Rahman Al-Khatib {A resident of Awarta town} as he was travelling in the area.

JENIN

Raid

At 04:45, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp and detained 4 residents {including 2 children}.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Ayman Mohammed Amer {16 years old}, Farid Mohammed Matahn, Saeed Ali Wahdan {17 years old}, and Mahmoud Ali Wahdan.

TULKAREM

Attack

At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned at "Ghishouri" factories area in west Tulkarem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several University students for alleged stoning and as a result left several them suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:10, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Kafr Laqif village junction then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 12:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles.

1. At 00:30, Israeli forces raided Qalqiliya city and detained 2 residents.
2. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Azzun town.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Islam Adnan Owinat Sharim and Abdallah Abdel-Rahman Hamdan in Qalqiliya city.

Attack

At 11:30, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Muntar area located near Jayyous town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Sarah village junction {located along the main road connecting Nablus and Qalqiliya districts} then searched residents and vehicles until 12:30.

Raid

1. At 00:05, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, clashed with several residents as they stormed a home and detained a resident.
2. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Zuwata village and detained a resident.
3. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Qusra town and detained 8 residents.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Omar Othman Al-Shami in Nablus city.
2. Israeli forces detained Anis Hamdi in Zuwata village.
3. Israeli forces detained 8 residents:Ehab Zuhdi Hassan, Ayman Odeh, Atef Kanaan, Youssef Rami Darwish, Thaer Odeh, Ibrahim Wadi, Aboud Marar and Rizkullah Abu Rida in Qusra village.

At 00:05, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a home during their raid into Nablus city.

At 11:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Qarwat Bani Hassan town then searched residents and vehicles until 14:20.

At 12:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 12:55.

At 01:05, Israeli forces raided Aqbat Al-Jabr camp, detained a National Security Force officer then withdrew at 01:55.

Israeli forces detained Ahmad Jihad Yusef Abu Al-Assal during their raid into Aqbat Al-Jabr camp in Jericho.

At 11:00, Israeli forces positioned near the south entrance of Jericho fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

At 03:05, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town, stormed and searched 3 homes, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:25.

Israeli forces detained Mohammad Khalid Za'al Jibril in Teqou' town.

2. At 11:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Huwar area {located at the entrance of Halhul} then searched residents and vehicles until 13:20.
3. At 11:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Samou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 13:30.

1. At 03:00, Israeli forces raided Hebron city and detained a resident.
2. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Deir Sammit village and detained a resident.
3. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Qom village then stormed and searched a home.
4. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Yatta town and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. At 12:30, Israeli forces detained Yazan Yaseri Taha Abu Sineneh in the old city of Hebron.
2. Israeli forces detained Arqam Khaled Ahmour in Hebron city.
3. Israeli forces detained Ahmad Mohammad Thiyab Al-Haroub in Deir Sammit village.

Assault on Educational sector

At 11:10,Israeli forces raided the campus of the Technical College of Palestine located near Al-Arroub camp and fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards the campus for alleged stoning from there and as a result injured a photojournalist and left several University students suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

1. At 10:15, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Arrub camp fired live ammunition,rubber coated steel bullets,stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 residents and left several others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
2. At 10:15, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Fuwar camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 11:10, Israeli forces positioned the campus of the Technical College of Palestine located near Al-Arroub camp and fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards the campus for alleged stoning from there and as a result injured a photojournalist and left several University students suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
4. At 11:40, Israeli forces positioned in Wadi Jinis area in Sa'ir town rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards the campus for alleged stoning.
5. At 18:00, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Halhul town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards the campus for alleged stoning.

Injuries

1. Israeli forces injured 3 residents: Jabr Muhannad Abu Shamaa and Malik 'Alaa Hassan Abu Shamaa during clashes near the entrance of Al-Arrub camp.
2. Israeli forces injured Mash'hour Wah'wah positioned near the campus of the Technical College of Palestine located near Al-Arroub camp.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by storming opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Central Gaza districts. A resident died of injuries sustained on December 8th 2017.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 14:00 on December 24th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

Killings

On December 24th 2017 Mohammad Sami Hisham Al-Dahdouh {19 years old}{A resident of Al-Zaytouneh neighborhood in south east Gaza city} died after being hospitalized for injuries sustained during clashes in east Gaza city on December 8th 2017.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 15:00 on December 24th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Buriej camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
