WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Detention

1. At dawn on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces detained Khalid Zidan in Jabal Al-Mukabir neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
2. At dawn on December 25th 2018, Israeli forces detained 8 residents: Omar Muhammed Saeed Ghannam {A resident of Al Tur neighborhood}, Mohammed Naji Abu Jumaa {A resident of Al Tur neighborhood}, Mohammad Ali Abu Ghannam {A resident of Al Tur neighborhood}, Muhannad Khois {A resident of Al Tur neighborhood}, Yousef Abu Laban {A resident of Al Tur neighborhood}, Abu Dheim {A resident of Jabal Mukaber neighborhood}, Karam Raed Awaisat {A resident of Jabal Mukaber neighborhood}. after storming and searching their homes in Jerusalem city and Shu'fat camp.

Deportation

On December 24th 2018, Israeli authorities in Jerusalem issued a court order banning Intham Rushid Abu Ramouz {A resident of Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city} from entering Al-Aqsa mosque compound for a period of 15 days and fined him 2500 as a condition for his release after being detained at an earlier time.

Attack

1. At 11:05, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Quds University in Abu Dis town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 23:00, Israeli forces positioned near Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 09:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Military Checkpoints

Since 11:35 on December 13th 2018, Israeli forces continued its closure of "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint located near "Beit El" settlement in North Al-Bireh city {for the 13th consecutive day} and prevented residents and vehicles from crossing the checkpoint in both directions.

Raid

1. At 03:35, Israeli forces raided Al-Bireh city , detained a resident then withdrew at 05:50.
2. At 04:50, Israeli forces raided Silwad town then stormed and searched a home.
3. At dawn on December 25th 2018, Israeli forces raided Deir Intham village.

Attack

1. At 10:00, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in Beituniya town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained 2 residents.
2. On December 24th 2018, Israeli forces positioned near "Ofar" military base fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators participating in demonstrations in solidarity with Abdallah Abu Rahma {A Palestinian Detainees who was detained because of his participation and organization of a bicycle marathon more than 10 months ago} and as a result left several residents suffocated from tear gas inhalation.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Hamoudah in Al-Bireh city.
2. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammad Sayil {17 years old} and Nour Al-Din Mohammad Attallah Al-Qatiti {15 years old} during clashes in near the wall gate in Beituniya town.

Settlers Attacks

At 11:30, Israeli settlers positioned near Turmus'aya town stoned several residents and vehicles.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 20:30, Israeli forces raided Zibadat village then stormed and searched 3 homes.
2. At dawn on December 25th 2018, Israeli forces raided Jenin camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Nisir Nasser Ja'es in Jenin camp.

Attack

At dawn on December 25th 2018, Israeli forces fired live ammunition and rubber coated steel bullets towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched a home during their raid into Jenin camp.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 08:20, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 00:55, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city and its camp, clashed with several residents, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:35.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ameed Allam Abdel-Ghani Budier in Tulkarem city.

QALQILIYA

Flying Checkpoints

At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the east entrance of Qalqiliya city then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 23:25, Israeli forces raided Azzun town and clashed with several residents.
2. At 00:25, Israeli forces raided Kafr Qaddum village, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes and confiscated 2 vehicles owned by Saqer Obied and Nafez Ishtawi.

Detention

At 01:35 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces detained Abdel-Haleem Salah Al-Basha during their raid into Qalqiliya city.

Attack

1. At 23:25, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Azzun town.
2. At 00:25,Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Kafr Qaddum village.

Confiscation of Property

At 00:25, Israeli forces confiscated vehicles owned by Saqer Obied and Nafez Ishtawi during their raid into Kafr Qaddum village.

NABLUS

Raid

1. At 22:45, Israeli forces raided Majdal Bani Fadil village until 02:05.
2. At 00:15, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village until 03:55.
3. At dawn on December 25th 2018, Israeli forces raided Beit Furiq town then stormed and searched a home.

Detention

At 00:55 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces detained Read Bader Hamad Shibayta {A Natioonal Security Force officer} during their raid into Nablus city {as mentioned in the previous report}.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

At 09:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near "Arail" settlement junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Al-Zawiya town, stormed and searched a home then withdrew at 03:00.

Settlers Attacks

At 02:45, a group of Israeli settlers positioned near Za'tara junction checkpoint stoned residents and vehicles and as a result left 2 residents: Osama Adel Hassan Dudan {a resident of Balata camp in Nablus city} and Ehab Majed Hassan Nada {A resident of Bethlehem city} hospitalized with contusions.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Dar Salah village bridge {located at the east entrance of Beit Sahur city} then searched residents and vehicles until 11:45.
2. At 19:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 20:30.

Raid

At dawn on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces raided Beit Fajjar town and detained a resident.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Ahmad Kamal Mohammad Thawabta in Beit Fajjar town.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 11:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Bani Na'im town then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

At 08:10, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Arrub camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several homes for alleged stoning from the area.

Assault on Educational sector

On the morning of December 24th 2018, Israeli forces closed the main entrance gate of Al-Khadoury Poly-technical college and prevented students from entering of exiting the area.

Settlers Attacks

At 23:25, a group of Israeli settlers settlers stormed Tel Al-Rumayda neighborhood located in the old city of Hebron ,attacked the Al-Samoud and Tahadi Center, assaulted employees in the center and as a result injured 6 residents:
Mohamed Zoghair, Louay and Zouz, Mohamed Amr, Ahmed Ismail Amr, Rabie Adel Karaki, and Sannan Albaid. leaving them hospitalized with contusions.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza strip and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah and on July 17th 2018, Israeli forces reduced the fishing area from 6 nautical miles to 3 nautical miles, On August 15th 2018, Israeli forces increased the fishing area from 3 nautical miles up to 9 nautical miles from the coast of Al-Badeir area located in Central Gaza up to Rafah district located South of the Gaza strip and on October 6th 2018, Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit to 3 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts and on October 23rd 2018 increased the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles to the all Gaza strip coasts.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards North Gaza, Gaza,Central Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah district and as a result injured 8 residents and left 6 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
• Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah districts.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 08:00 on December 24th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 14:30 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in North west Beit Lahiya town during the march of return and as a result injured 8 residents and left 6 others suffocated from tear gas inhalation.
3. At 14:30 on December 24th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards 20 Palestinian fishing boats who were protesting off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in west Beit Lahiya town and chased them towards Gaza ports at 17:00.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 8 unidentified residents during clashes in North west Beit Lahiya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

1. At 12:30 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Gaza city.
2. At 13:30 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Gaza city during the march of return.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 12:15 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

1. At 07:30 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Khan Yunis city.
2. At 07:30 on December 24th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Khan Yunis city.
3. At 13:30 on December 24th 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Khuza'a town located in east Khan Yunis city during the march of return.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.

Attack

At 11:40 on December 24th 2018, Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Rafah city.
