Demonstrations

• On December 24th 2017,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Raid

At dawn on December 16th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1.On December 25th 2017, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Khalid Abu Qwiedar {A resident of Al-Tur neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
2. On December 25th 2017, Israeli forces detained Bahaa 'Ala Abu Al-Hamam - {residents of Ein Al-Luza area in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem city}.
3. On the evening of December 25th 2017, Israeli forces detained Mohammad Al-Ju'ba {A resident of Al-Thuri neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
4. At 12:45, Israeli forces detained Saif Izzat Abu Khdeir {13 years old}{A resident of Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city}.
5. At 14:30, Israeli forces detained Fakhri Al-Bakri in Salah Al-Din road in Jerusalem city.
6. At 03:00, Israeli forces detained 10 residents: Uday Samer Ishaq Abu Tayeh, Louay Fouad Al Qaq, Abdul Karim Yousif Ahmed Al Shiokhi, Mohammad Ziad Zaidani, Mohammad Samer Sarhan, Hamada Odeh, Ahmed Yassin Al Rajabi, Mufid Mohammed Al Abbasi, Mo'men Al Abbasi and Mohammed Mousa Al Abbasi in Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem city.
7. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Abed Darwish and Khalis Mustafa in Al-Eisawiya village.

Attack

1. At 19:00, Israeli forces positioned near the North junction of Al-Ram town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces positioned at Ras Kabsah area located in Al-Eizariya town fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Settlement Activities

At 12:30, The "Elad" settlement organization placed mobile homes (caravans) belonging to the Israeli municipality in order to accommodate the families of new settlers in the area of Bedouin in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 11:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

At 19:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Atara town bridge the searched residents and vehicles until 21:30.

At 16:50, Israeli forces raided Beir Sira village.

JENIN

Raid

1. At 11:35, Israeli forces raided Markat village.
2. At 12:00, Israeli forces raided Arraba town and Al-Hafirat village as they escorted several employees from the Israeli Water Authority who conducted tests on several water wells.
3. At 21:25, Israeli forces raided Al-Silah Al-Harthiya town, Zubaba and Ti'inik villages.
4. At 01:30, Israeli forces raided Qabatiya, Ya'bad, Araba, Kafr Ra'i towns and Imrayha village then clashed with several residents in Qabatiya town.
5. At 01:35, Israeli forces raided Jenin city and its camps, stormed a steel mill and confiscated several equipment,

Detention

At 04:45 on December 25th 2018, Israeli forces detained the child Suhayeb Muthqal Fayez issa {17 years old} during their raid into Jenin camp.

Confiscation of Property

At 01:35, Israeli forces confiscated steel mill equipment owned by Omran Alam Amran as they stormed his steel mill during their raid into Jenin city.

Attack

At 01:30, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Qabatiya town.

TUBAS

Military Checkpoints

At 19:40, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Tayassir Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic.

TULKAREM

Raid

At 00:25, Israeli forces raided Tulkarem city, shwakiya neighborhood, Zeita and Allar towns and Sayda village, detained 4 residents in Tulkarem city , shwakiya neighborhood and Sayda town then withdrew at 04:55.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Dhargham, Tulkarem, Omar Khaled Liftawi, { A residents of Tulkarem city}, Amr Mohammed Ghanem, {resident of Shuweika neighborhood} and Ahmed Mohammed Mahmoud Hamdan, {resident of Sayda village} during their raid into Tulkarem city , shwakiya neighborhood and Sayda town.

QALQILIYA

Raid

At dawn on December 26th 2017, Israeli forces raided Azzun town then stormed and searched a home.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 17:30, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 19:30.

Flying Checkpoints

At 14:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Madma village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 13:55, Israeli forces raided Sabastiya village, clashed with several resiednts then withdrew at 15:00.
2. At 15:15, Israeli forces raided Rujieb village, clashed with several residents then withdrew at 17:00.
3. At 15:50, Israeli forces raided Tel village, chased Mu'tasim Hassan Yusef Rihan {who was able to flee} then withdrew at 17:00.
4. At 17:40, Israeli forces raided Assira Al-Shamaliya town until 20:30.

Attack

1. At 13:55, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Sabastiya village.
2. At 15:15, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid Rujieb village.

Settlement Activities

On December 15th 2017, Israeli Authorities in he settlement outpost "Hayya" built on the lands of the citizens of the village of Jalud, the construction of more than 15 new housing units, in addition to the construction of new settlement roads in the vicinity of the settlement outpost.

SALFIT

Raid

At 02:30, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan town and detained a resident.

Detention

1.On the evening of December 24th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at Za'tara Military checkpoint detained Muhanad Munthir Sabri Qanat {A resident of Kafr Qalil village in Nablus district}.
2. Israeli forces detained Abdel-Rahman Allam Mir'i in Qarwat Bani Hassan town.

JERICHO

Attack

1. At 12:45, Israeli forces positioned at the south entrance of Jericho city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several resiednts for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:30, Israeli forces positioned at the North entrance of Jericho city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several resiednts for alleged stoning.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 13:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the North entrance of Bethlehem city then searched residents and vehicles until 15:00.
2. At 15:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction { located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched resiednts and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 10:45, Israeli forces raided Teqou' town until 12:00.
2. At 13:35, Israeli forces raided North Bethlehem city, set up a checkpoint at the north entrance for alleged maintenance work on the checkpoint then withdrew at 15:00.
3. At 01:10, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and Ayda camp, clashed with several residents as they stormed and searched several homes, detained 7 residents in Ayda camp then withdrew at 04:50.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 7 residents: Abdullah Hammad and his two brothers Ali, Mahmoud, Ammar Mustafa Ali Abu Akkar, his brother Majdi, Mahmoud Ayed Abu Akkar, and Adham Ibrahim Aweys during their raid into Bethlehem city and Ayda camp.

Attack

At 01:10, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Ayda camp in Bethlehem city.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 14:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Yunis area {located along the main road connecting Hebron and Bethlehem} then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Fuwar camp then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At dawn on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces raided Surif town and detained a resident after storming his home.
2. At 09:00, Israeli forces raided Al-Arroub camp then stormed and searched a home.
3. At 23:50, Israeli forces raided Dura town until 02:15.
4. At dawn on December 26th 2017, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town, summoned 4 residents : Mohammed Ayesh Abu Maria, Moatasem Jamal Mahmoud Alqam, Alaa Jihad Sbararna 17, and Khaled Mohammed Abu Maria to report to Israeli Intellegnce for questioning.

Detention

1. At 03:00 on December 25th 2017, Israeli forces detained Bashar Sami Ishaaq Al - Jaabari as they stormed and searched his home during their raid into Hebron city.

2. Israeli forces detained Rami Ibrahim Mohamed Al - Hadosh in Surif town.

Attack

At 17:00, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Arrub camp fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured 2 children.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured 2 children: Ayman Abdul Rahman Abu Amer {17 years old} and Ahmed Ahmed Jawabra {15 years old}

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by storming opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 21:15 in December 25th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Jahr Al-Dik town located in east Gaza city.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
