Demonstrations

• On December 27th 2017,Mass rallies were launched in all cities and towns in all districts, rejecting the decision of the American president to declare Jerusalem as the "capital of the occupying state" and the transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem. The participants in the marches stressed that the decision will not change the situation Which is protected by international resolutions and laws as an occupied Palestinian city, and that Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian people and its independent state.

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Eizariya town then searched residents and vehicles until 17:00.
2. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Hizma town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At dawn on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces raided Qautna village and detained a resident.
2. On the evening of December 27th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Eisawiya village and clashed with several residents.
3. At 02:00 on December 28th 2017, Israeli forces raided Qalandiya camp, clashed with several resiednts as they stormed and searched several homes and detained a resident.

Detention

1. At 00:15 on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Mohammed Munther Badwan and Saif Shehdeh Samara during their raid into Biddu town {in addition to those mentioned in the previous report}..
2. At 20:00, Israeli forces positioned at Al-Shiekh Sa'ed Military checkpoint detained 2 residents: Adham Ayoub Ahmed Shukairat, and Alaa Youssef Ahmed Shukairat

3. At 20:40, Israeli forces positioned at Qalandiya Military checkpoint detained Arij Amjad Hoshiya -{A Residents of Qatna village}.

4. At 24:00, Israeli forces positioned at Jaba' Military checkpoint detained Ahmed Ayman Abu Arab {A resident of the Amari camp in Ramallah}
5. Israeli forces detained Mohammed Aziz Faqih in Qutna village
6. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Raed Khaled Hamad and Ahmad Khaled Abdul Raouf in Qalandiya camp.

Attack

1. On the evening of December 27th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance of Anata town fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. On the evening of December 27th 2017, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Eisawiya village.
3. At 20:50, Israeli forces positioned in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
4. At 20:45, Israeli forces positioned near Ras Kabsa area located in Al-Eizariya town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
5. At 02:00, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Qalandiya camp.

Closure of main Roads

At 21:00, Israeli forces closed the main road in Al-Shiekh neighborhood in Jerusalem city and impeded the free flow of traffic.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

Settlers Attacks

On December 27th 2017, a group of Israeli settlers stormed Beit Safafa village and threw a Molotov cocktail fire bomb towards the home of Riyad Hatab and also set fire to his vehicle.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Raid

1. At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Kobar and Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya villages , detained a resident in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya then withdrew at 02:00.
2. At 01:40, Israeli forces raided Beitin village.
3. At 02:00, Israeli forces raided Beituniya town, detained a resident then withdrew at 04:35.
4. At 02:30,Israeli forces raided Deir Abu Mash'al village until 03:30.
5. At 05:10, Israeli forces raided Silwad town, detained 2 residents {including a Palestinian Intelligence agency officer} and summoned Mohammed Omar Abdul Ghani Hamid to report to Israeli intelligence.

Detention

1. At 10:30, Israeli forces detained 2 children: Louay Hassan Issa {13 years old}, and Bahaa Ziad Salah Musleh {14 year old} [Both are residents of Khirbitha Al-Misbah village}.
2. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Ahmad Obied in Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya village.
3. Israeli forces detained Sultan Badawi in Beituniya town.
4. Israeli forces detained 2 residents: Raafat Nemer Abdel Hamid Hamid, and Rashad Murshed Hammad in Silwad town.

Attack

1. At 09:35, Israeli forces positioned near "Pesagot " settlement located in east Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 09:40, Israeli forces positioned near Beituniya town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 12:35, Israeli forces positioned near the wall gate in South Al-Bireh city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and as a result injured a child.
4. At 16:50, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Nabi Saleh village fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured Hamza Mahmoud Khamis Al-Hajj {15 years old} during clashes near near the wall gate in South Al-Bireh city.

Temporary Detention

At 10:30, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp temporarily detained the child: Ahmed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Mubarak {12 years old} then released him at 12:20.

JENIN

Raid

At 14:10, Israeli forces raided Kafr Dan village and temporarily detained 3 children then released them at 23:30.

Temporary Detention

At 14:10, Israeli forces temporarily detained 3 children: Ahmad 'Aref' Abdallah Salah {16 years old}, Muhammad Walid 'Abdallah Salah {15 years old}, and Muhammad' Abd al-Jabbar 'Ahed Salah {15 years old} during their raid into Kafr Dan village then released them at 23:30

At 16:40, Israeli forces raided Tayassir village then stormed and searched several homes.

At 15:35, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Quffin town junction then searched residents and vehicles until 16:00.

1. At 19:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Azzun town then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30
2. At 20:15, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Izbit Al-Tabib village then searched residents and vehicles until 23:30.

At 12:00, Israeli forces positioned near a checkpoint located at the south entrance of Qalqiliya city fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces intensified their restrictions at Beit Furiq Military checkpoint and impeded the free flow of traffic until 18:30.

Flying Checkpoints

At 18:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Al-Muraba'a area located near the entrance of Tel village then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 02:35, Israeli forces raided Nablus city, clashed with several residents as they stormed a building , detained a residents then withdrew at 03:45.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Kamal Yusef Al-Basha during their raid into Nablus city.

1. At 12:40, Israeli forces positioned near Huwara Military checkpoint fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 15:25, Israeli forces positioned in South Salem village fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

3. At 02:35, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed a building during their raid into Nablus city.

SALFIT

Raid

1. At dawn on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces raided Qarwat Bani Hassan town then stormed and searched a home.
2. At 20:10, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town as they escorting a group of Israeli settlers who stormed archaeological sites and performed Talmudic rituals then withdrew at 05:00.
3. At 03:35, Israeli forces raided Bidya town, detained a resident after storming a home then withdrew at 06:40.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Abdul Rahim Hosni Hassan Baadin in Bidya town.

Provocation of Palestinian Forces

At 20:10, Israeli forces positioned near "Bruqan" settlement junction stopped a Palestinian Customs Police vehicle, temporarily detained 3 officers inside the vehicle then released them at a later time.

JERICHO

Attack

At 13:30, Israeli forces positioned at the south entrance of Jericho city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 14:30.
2. At 13:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Beit Fajjar town then searched residents and vehicles until 14:30.
3. At 20:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the west entrance of Teqou' town then searched residents and vehicles until 22:00.

Attack

1. At 11:30, Israeli forces positioned at Billal Bun Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning and detained a resident.
2. At 18:50, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Harmala village opened fire towards several residents for alleged stoning towards the main road near the village.

Detention

Israeli forces detained Munther Omar Abdel Karim Omira -{ A Resident of Aya camp in Bethlehem city} during clashes near Billal Bun Rabah mosque located in North Bethlehem city.

Confiscation of Property

On December 27th 2017, Israeli forces confiscated a storage Caravan {used to store agricultural tools} owned by Majd Hamdan in Jabal Rowisat located in North Al-Walja village.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Huwaweir area {located at the North entrance of Halhul town} then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. On December 17th 2017, Israeli forces raided Al-Thahriya town, stormed a home and several storage rooms.
2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Sa'ir town and detained a resident.
3. At 03:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Fuwar camp.
4. At dawn on December 28th 2017, Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town, stormed and searched several homes and a merchant shop, detained a resident and summoned 4 residents: Ibrahim Ali Akl Ahlil, and his children Mutasim, Montaser, and Ahmad to report to Israeli Intelligence for questioning.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained Hail Ali Jabara Al Amarin in Sa'ir town.
2. Israeli forces detained Mohammed Ibrahim Arar in Beit Ummar town.

Temporary Detention

At 08:55, Israeli forces positioned at a Military checkpoint in the old city of Hebron temporarily detained the child: Farahat Nader Rajabi {13 years old} then released him at a later time.

Attack

1. At 09:20, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Arrub camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents inside the camp for alleged stoning.
2. At 09:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Fuwar camp fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. On December 27th 2017, Israeli forces positioned at Halhul town bridge fired live ammunition, rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators for alleged stoning.

Closure of main Roads

At 09:30, Israeli forces closed the steel gate entrance of Al-Fuwar camp and impeded the free flow of traffic until reopening it at 12:55.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.

• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by storming and opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Rafah district.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Gaza and Central Gaza districts.
•Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 00:45 on December 27th 2017,Israeli Naval vessels opened fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Waha area located in West Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 09:00 on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in North Beit Lahiya town.
3. At 09:45 on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Beit Hanoun town.
4. At 14:30 on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Jabaliya town.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

At 14:30 on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire, launched stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city and as a result injured a resident.

Injuries

Israeli forces injured a unidentified resident as they opened fire towards then during demonstrations near in east Al-Shija’iya neighborhood located in east Gaza city.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 09:00 on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Maghazi camp.
2. At 09:30 on December 27th 2017,Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in east Al-Buriej camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Raid

At 07:00 on December 27th 2017, Israeli forces escorting Military bulldozers stormed 100 m into the vicinity of east Khuza'a town and opened fire as they leveled a plot of land then withdrew at 12:30.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is closed.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
