WEST BANK

ALL DISTRICTS

On February 13th 2020, demonstrations took place for the second consecutive day in all districts in the West Bank and Gaza strip rejecting The United States of America's presidents announcement of the "Deal of the Century" which aims to settle the Palestinian issue, and the participants in the marches and events confirmed their support of President Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinian leaderships demand for the implementation of the International resolutions to safeguarding the rights of the Palestinian people on their land and establishing an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital within the borders of June 4, 1967.

JERUSALEM

Detention

At dawn on February 14th 2020,the occupation forces arrested 2 citizens after they raided their homes in the Old City of Jerusalem, namely: Muhammad Al-Bakri and Bashar Najeeb.

Temporary Detention

The dawn on 14. 02. 2020 The occupation forces in the Old City of Jerusalem detained the citizen: Nizam Abu Ramuz, and later released him after he handed him a decision to pay a fine of 450 shekels, because of the distribution of cakes and food to the worshipers as they left the Al-Aqsa Mosque after they performed a prayer Daybreak.

House Demolition

On the 13th of 02. 2020, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house belonging to Iyad Al-Shweiki, in Al-Thawri neighborhood, to build a school belonging to the municipality of the occupation, in the place of the house.

Destruction of Property

On December 13, 2020, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a wall in the Al-Thawri neighborhood of Jerusalem, near a house owned by Khalil Abu Wahdan.

Assaults on Property

At 10:00, part of a house in the area of Qanatir Khudair in the Old City of Jerusalem collapsed, owned by Citizen: Zahir Al-Sharabati, due to the excavations carried out by the occupation authorities.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 08:30, groups of extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation police, stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and made provocative tours of its courtyards and facilities.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

On the 13th of February 02, 2020, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the village of Nabi Saleh, and arrested a citizen.

Raid

1. At 13:35, Israeli forces raided the town of Beitunia, stormed and searched a piece of land owned by the citizen: Sakhr Abu Zayed, and withdrew at 15:25.
2. At 01:45, Israeli forces raided Beit Sira village, and conducted patrols until 05:15.

Detention

Detainee at a flying checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Al-Nabi Saleh is: Adham Ezzat Al-Rimawi - residents of the town of Beit Rima.

Attack

At 16:05, the Israeli occupation forces, near the entrance to the village of Al-Nabi Saleh, fired rubber-coated metal bullets and sound and tear gas canisters towards the protesting citizens, under the pretext that they were throwing stones, which resulted in the injury of a citizen.

Injuries

The wounded during clashes with the occupation forces at the entrance to the village of Al-Nabi Saleh (whose name was not known).

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

At 10:00, the occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the village of Tainik, to search cars and verify citizens ’identities.

TUBAS

Temporary Detention

At 13:50, Israeli forces detained 3 civilians while they were grazing their sheep: Ahmed Abdel-Rahman Khalil, Muhammad Nayef Al-Faqir and Khalil Sharif Zawahra, and released them at 17:25.

QALQILIYA

Detention

On February 13, 2020, the Israeli occupation forces positioned at a military checkpoint,arrested: Mamoun Mustafa Al-Dalu - residents of Qalqilya city, while returning from Ramallah.

Attack

At 18:00, the occupation forces in the vicinity of the Jaljulia checkpoint, southeast of Qalqilya, fired rubber-coated metal bullets and sound and tear gas canisters towards the protesting citizens, on the pretext that they were throwing stones, detained a child, and later released him.

Temporary Detention

1. At 12:45, a special force of the occupation army was detained near the entrance to Jinsafout village, the military: Khaled Walid Jaidi - from the Palestinian Civil Defense Service, after his vehicle was intercepted, and he was released at 14:45.
2. At 18:00, the occupation forces in the vicinity of the Jaljulia checkpoint, detained the child: Mahmoud Essam Mahmoud Suleiman, 12, on the pretext of throwing stones, and released him after the intervention of the Palestinian military liaison at 19:00.

NABLUS

Military Checkpoints

At 15:50, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Huwwara checkpoint, and obstructed traffic until 17:00.

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 09:05, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at Bazarya village junction, to search cars and verify citizens ’identities until 10:30 hours.
2. At 20:20, the Israeli occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the junction of the village of Surra, and arrested 2 civilians.

Detention

The two detainees at a flying checkpoint at the intersection of the village of Surra are: Mu'tasim Ahmed Aref Abu Hussein and Omar Muhammad Aref Abu Hussein.

Temporary Detention

At 10:50, the occupation forces detained Ismail Mohammed Ramadan, while he was passing bypass road, crossing the "Yitzhar" settlement, and released him at 12:00.

Confiscation of Property

On February 13, 2020, the Israeli occupation forces confiscated, near Beit Furik, a bulldozer, while operating on the town's land.

Settlement Activities

On February 13, 2020, the Israeli occupation forces started building a settlement road linking the settlements of “Eli” and “Shilo”, which are located on the citizens ’lands, south of Nablus, with the settlements established in the Jordan Valley. To the villages of Tilfit, Qaryut, Douma, Al-Mughair, and even the lands of Fasayil village in Jericho Governorate.

SALFIT

At 21:15, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their procedures at the Za'tara Junction checkpoint, and impeded the movement of traffic until 22:30.

At 08:20, the occupation forces set up a roadblock between the town of Deir Ballut and the village of Rafat, to search cars and verify citizens ’identities.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:40, the occupation forces set up a roadblock in the Aqaba Hassan area (on the main road leading to the western villages in the Bethlehem governorate). The roadblock was set up at 15:35 to search cars and verify citizens ’identities until 16:00.

1. At 14:00, the Israeli occupation forces detained the entrance of Beit Ummar, the citizen: Ahmed Khalil Abu Hashem, and released him at a later time.

GAZA STRIP

• At 19:00 on August 26th 2019,The permanent and comprehensive cease-fire entered into force on the initiative and sponsorship of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after reaching understandings to open the crossings, introduce humanitarian and relief assistance and reconstruction supplies, expand the fishing area for 6 miles, Up to 12 miles by the end of the current year, reducing the area of ​​the buffer zone from 300 m to 100 m, freedom of movement and preventing assassinations. The other issues, including the airport and the port, will be negotiated within one month of the cease-fire.
On the morning of 28 June 2019, the Israeli occupation forces allowed the expansion of the sea fishing area in the north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip and up to 6 nautical miles from the port of Gaza and from the port of Gaza to the south of Rafah until 15 nautical miles.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

Attack

1. At 08:00 on the 13th of February 02, 2020, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line opened fire towards agricultural land in the east of Gaza City.
2. At 15:10 on 13 February 2020, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at their positions on the Green Line, towards a number of civilians near the border fence, east of the town of Juhr Al-Dik, southeast of Gaza City.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

1. At 14:50 on the 13th of February 2020, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire from their positions on the Green Line, towards the site of a Palestinian armed group, east of Deir Al-Balah.
2. At 15:00 on the 13th of February 2020, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire from their positions on the Green Line towards agricultural land east of Al-Bureij refugee camp.
3. At 18:30 on 13 of February 2020, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on their positions on the Green Line, towards the site of a Palestinian armed group, east of Al-Bureij refugee camp.

KHAN YUNIS

Attack

At 11:00 on the 13th of February, 2020, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire at a number of civilians near the border fence, east of the town of Khuza'a, east of Khan Yunis.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
*Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit and entry of residents.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entrance of Humanitarian aid, limited supplies of Diesel fuel and construction material for Internationally funded projects.
