WEST BANK

JERUSALEM

Flying Checkpoints

At 21:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Hizma town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. At 14:00, Israeli forces raided Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city , clashed with several residents and detained 5 residents.
2. At dawn on February 22nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Al-Eizariya town and detained 2 residents.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Osama Abu Sneineh {15 years old}, Ibrahim Kyala {14 years old}, Mahmoud Abidu {15 years old}, Riad Salaima {14 years old}, and Thiab Quresh {13 years old} in Shu'fat camp located in Jerusalem city.
2. At 22:40, Israeli forces detained Loia Sami Al-Rajabi in Silwan neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
3. Israeli forces detained Wissam Ahmad Al-Makahil and Mohammad Ahmad Al-Makahil in Al-Eizariya town.

Attack

At 14:00, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Shu'fat camp in Jerusalem city.

Physical Assault

At 19:30, Israeli forces positioned near Beit Suriq village assaulted 2 residents: Ibrahim Mohammed Saeed Taha, and his brother Ahmad {Both are residents of Qatna village} and as a result left them hospitalized with contusions.

Temporary Detention

On February 21st 2018, Israeli occupation authorities in the city of Jerusalem imposed five days of house arrest on the citizen Munther Jamjoum, residents of the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem, in addition to a financial guarantee of NIS 5,000 and prevented him from seeing his friends for 30 days as a condition for his release after arresting him earlier.

Deportation

On February 21st 2018, Israeli occupation authorities issued a order for the deportation of Hamza Darbis {A resident of Al-Eisawiya village} from Jerusalem city for a period of 1 week.

House Demolition

At 10:20,Israeli forces stormed Shu'fat Neighborhood in Jerusalem city and demolished a home {115 square meters} as well as a live stock barn owned by Salah Abu Khdier for allegedly being built without a licencee.

Destruction of Property

1. At 10:20, Israeli forces demolished a live stock barn and a home owned by Salah Abu Khdier in Shu'fat neighborhood in Jerusalem city for allegedly being built without a licence.
2. At 12:00, Israeli forces demolished a merchant shop and a hair Solon owned by Daoud Muhisien in Al-Ishqaera neighborhood in Beit Hanina town for allegedly being built with out a licence.

Obstruction of Places of Worship

At 10:00, a group of Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli Military and Police officers stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and provoked worshipers.

RAMALLAH & AL BIREH

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 10:25, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Budrus village then searched residents and vehicles until 12:15.
2. At 20:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village and detained a resident.
3. At 02:00, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Taybeh village junction {located along Al-Mu'arajat road which connects Ramallah and Jericho districts} then searched residents and vehicles.

Attack

1. At 11:20, Israeli forces positioned at the entrance "Ofar" military base fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several demonstrators for alleged stoning and detained 3 residents {including a child and a journalist}.
2. At 12:30, Israeli forces positioned near "Al-Mahkama" military checkpoint positioned near "Bet El" settlement located in North Al-Bireh city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
3. At 13:30, Israeli forces positioned near the entrance of Al-Jalazoun camp fired stun and tear gas canisters for alleged stoning.

Detention

1. At 18:10, Israeli forces detained Ahmad Abdel-Kareem Mohammad Aweida {A resident of Budrous village}
2. Israeli forces positioned at a flying checkpoint near the entrance of Al-Nabi Saleh village detained Mohammad Khalid Salah Al-Barghouthi {A resident of Al-Nabi Saleh village}.
3.Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Mohammed Abdullah Mehdi Abu Khalifa {17 years old} { A residents of Deheisheh camp in Bethlehem, Mohammed Sami Alwan}{A journalist} and Ibrahim Mohammed Harbi during clashes near "Ofar" military base.

JENIN

Flying Checkpoints

On the evening of February 21st 2018, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Arraba town junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 05:00, Israeli forces raided Jenin city and camp, detained 4 residents in Jenin camp and assaulted 2 residents then withdrew at 05:55.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 4 residents: Mu'adh Abdullah Al-Fayed, Na'im Jamal Zubaidi, Yahya Jamal Antair and Khalil Mohammed Al-Hindi in Jenin camp.

Physical Assault

At 05:00, Israeli forces assaulted 2 residents: Antoine Jamal Al-Zubaidi, and his brother Mohammed during their raid into Jenin camp.

Settlement Activities

On February 21st 2018, Israeli Authorities leveled land in Thaher Al-Malah village located behind the wall for the purpose of expanding the wall near "Shaked" settlement on land occupied in 1967.

TULKAREM

Raid

1. At 03:45, Israeli forces raided Nour Al-Shams camp in Tulkarem city, detained 3 residents then withdrew at 06:25.
2. At dawn on February 22nd 2018, Israeli forces raided Anabta town and detained a resident.

Detention

1. Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Hilal Ahmed Awad Hussain, Ahmed Ali Shehadeh and Ahmed Abu Raad in Nour Al-Shams camp in Tulkarem city.
2. Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Abdel Raouf Fahmawi in Anabta town.

QALQILIYA

Attack

At 21:30, Israeli forces positioned near "Ayal" settlement located in North Qalqiliya city fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.

NABLUS

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:55, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Assira Al-Shamaliya town then searched residents and vehicles until 19:00.

Raid

At 08:50, Israeli forces raided Qabalan town, stormed a vehicle maintenance shop then withdrew at 11:40.

Attack

1. At 16:45, Israeli forces positioned in Jabal Al-Qa'da area located near Beit Furiq town fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 16:50, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near the entrance of Madma village then searched residents and vehicles.

Settlement Activities

On February 21st 2018, The Israeli authorities began to set up 12 settlement units on the confiscated land to establish the new settlement outpost "Amihai" near the colony of "Shilo" within the territories occupied in 1967.

Settlers Attacks

At 14:20, a group of Israeli settlers from "Yitshar" settlement stormed Einbuis village and killed 10 goats after stealing them from a barn owned by Baher Mohammad Rayan {A resident of Einbuis village} located north of the village.

SALFIT

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 12:20, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Zawiya town then searched residents and vehicles.
2. At 15:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Deir Ballout town then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

1. On the evening of February 21st 2018, Israeli forces raided Kafil Harris town as they escorted a group of Israeli settlers who stormed religious sites in the area.
2. At 03:35, Israeli forces raided Deir Istiya town and detained 4 residents.

Detention

Israeli forces detained 5 residents: Attaf Saeed Hassan Al-Qadi, Yousef Mohammed Ayed al-Qaisi, Khalil Mahmoud Khalil Hakim, and his brother Thaer in Deir Istiya town.

JERICHO

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 08:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the North entrance of Jericho city then searched residents and vehicles until 09:50.
2. At 16:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at Al-Oja village junction then searched residents and vehicles.

Raid

At 23:50, Israeli forces raided Jericho city, clashed with several residents as they stormed several homes, detained and assaulted a resident who had severely inhaled tear gas during which Israeli Military announced his death then withdrew at 03:30.

Killings

Israeli Military Authorities announced that the resident Yassin Omar Suliman Al-Sradih {33 years old}{A resident of Jericho city} died after Israeli forces assaulted him while arresting him in Jericho city.

Attack

At 23:50, Israeli forces fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning as they stormed and searched several homes during their raid into Jericho city.

BETHLEHEM

Flying Checkpoints

1. At 16:40 and again at 18:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint near Al-Nashash area junction {located at the south entrance of Bethlehem city} then searched residents and vehicles until 19:00.
2. At 16:40, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint in Aqbat Hasna area located in Husan village then searched residents and vehicles until 17:40.

Raid

1. At 21:10, Israeli forces raided Al-Khader town and clashed with several residents for alleged stoning.
2. At 02:50, Israeli forces raided Bethlehem city and detained a resident.

Detention

1. On February 20th 2018, Israeli forces detained 3 residents: Faisal Khalaf Salman Rashaida, Hashem Ali Odeh Rashaida, and his brother Laith in Al-Rashayda village.
2. Israeli forces detained Wajih Zuhier Awad in Bethlehem city.

Temporary Detention

At 20:30, Israeli forces positioned near Al-Faradis village temporarily detained Hassan Harun Ibrahim Abu Mahameed, and Suleiman Hashim Ibrahim Abu Mahameed then released them at a later time.

Attack

At 21:10, Israeli forces fired rubber coated steel bullets, stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during their raid into Al-Khader town.

HEBRON

Flying Checkpoints

At 17:30, Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Tabaqa village then searched residents and vehicles.

Detention

At 14:15, Israeli forces detained Amjad Nidal Taha in Abu Sineneh neighborhood in the old city of Hebron

Destruction of Property

On February 21st 2018, Israeli forces stormed Al-Quba'a area located along the by pass road near "Kiryatv Arba" settlement located in east Hebron city, leveled agricultural land and as a result uprooted several Olive and Almond trees as well as several grape vines and vegetable crops owned by Atta Jaber.

GAZA STRIP

ALL DISTRICTS

• Since 19:00 on August 26th 2014, Palestinian Gunmen and the Israeli military agreed to a cease fire agreement (brokered by the Arab Republic of Egypt) which includes the opening of border crossings to allow the entry of emergency supplies and humanitarian goods as well as construction material and agreed to increase the fishing limit to 6 nautical miles with possibility of increase to 12 nautical miles by the end of the year and to decrease the Military area to 100 meters, allow freedom of movement and a halt to targeted killings and assassinations and negotiations will be held for discussion on rebuilding the seaport and airports and on May 4th 2017, Israeli authorities increased the fishing limit to 9 nautical miles from Wadi Gaza until the south border of the Gaza stripe and on June 26th 2017 Israeli forces decreased the fishing limit back to 6 nautical miles and on October 17th 2017, Israeli forces increased the fishing limit back to 9 nautical miles and on December 12th 2017 reduced fishing area from 9 nautical miles to 6 nautical miles south of Wadi Gaza and opposite to Rafah.
• The Israeli Military broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire from their positions behind the Green Line towards Central Gaza district.
•Israeli Naval vessels broke the cease fire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of North Gaza district.

NORTHERN GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing is partially open for the passage of critical patients, journalists, NGO staff, businesspersons and passengers travelling abroad through Al-Karama crossing with previous coordination.

Attack

1. At 07:45 on February 21st 2018, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Sudaniya area located in West Beit Lahiya town.
2. At 09:00 on February 21st 2018, Israeli Naval vessels broke the ceasefire agreement by opening fire towards Palestinian fishing boats off the shores of Al-Waha area located in North West Beit Lahiya town.

Detention

At 17:00 on February 21st 2018, Israeli forces detained a unidentified resident in North Beit Lahiya as he attempted to climb the border fence into Israel.

GAZA

Closure of Crossing Points

* Al-Muntar (Karni) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 02 March 2011, the Crossing has been effectively closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.
* Al-Shija’iya (Nahal ‘Oz) Crossing is closed. Beginning on 04 January 2010, the Crossing has closed following a unilateral Israeli decision.

CENTRAL GAZA

Attack

At 16:00 on February 21st 2018, Israeli forces positioned behind the Green Line fired stun and tear gas canisters towards several residents for alleged stoning during demonstrations in east Al-Buriej camp.

RAFAH

Closure of Crossing Points

* Yasser ‘Arafat International Airport remains closed.
* Rafah (Al ‘Awdah) Crossing is open for the exit of 652 resiednts carrying Egyptian passports, student visas and humanitarian and emergence medical cases as well as the entry of 115.
* Sufa Crossing is closed.
* Karm Abu Salem (Karem Shalom) Crossing is partially open for the entry of goods, fuel, construction material for the private sector and internationally funded projects.
